"Jungkook, where are the keys to the handcuffs?"

---

Your mouth goes dry as you look up at the male.

"U-uh, check your suitcase," Jungkook suggests hastily.

"Right, yeah suitcase, suitcase," you mumble as you spin around and search for your bag.

Jungkook walks up behind you and awkwardly waits as you rummage through your luggage. You toss your clothes aside and your eyes scan around for a metal key. "Where could it be," you mutter out loud to yourself.

You stand up, a distressed look teasing your face. "Ahh think, okay if you were a key, where would you go?"

Jungkook furrows his eyebrows in deep thought. "Ah-ha!" the male exclaims, his gloomy features now lighting up.

You wait expectedly for him to reveal his solution.

"Near a door," he states proudly.

Your expectant look drops to the ground and you replace it with an irritant glare. "Thought you were supposed to be smart," you mumble lowly.

Jungkook's ears catch a glimpse of your words, hearing only "you" and "smart". The boy straightens his posture in victory, thinking that he's finally done something right.

"Where was the last place I left it," you think out loud.

Jungkook frowns, "aren't we going to check near the doors?"

You shoot the boy an incredulous look. "Jungkook, these are keys to a handcuff, not a freaking door!"

Jungkook looks at you blankly.

"Did you seriously study la-"

"I mean near the doors," he interrupts you. "Where the coat hangers are."

You look at him quizzically.

Jungkook sighs. "There's a coat hanger near the entrance of the hotel, you hung your jacket there this morning while we were sorting out the hotel bookings."

You mouth slightly drops open in realisation.

"I could have dropped it there." "You could have dropped it there."

You and Jungkook speak simultaneously.

Without even missing a beat you start to run. Grabbing your wallet and phone before exiting the room. Jungkook hurries along behind you, quickly grabbing two face masks with his free hand as he leaves.

The two of you sprint to the front of the hotel. Though, it wasn't as easy as just sprinting to the front entrance. Thanks to this being a five-star hotel, the two of you nearly broke a few bones try to sprint down 20 flights of stairs. You could have easily taken the elevator, but no because:

One: elevator music sucks ass.

Two: you have no common sense.

Three: you had a doughnut for lunch and felt the need to burn it off.

The third reason was just an excuse to justify your stupidity.

Jungkook and you finally make it to the lobby. You both pant heavily and you hold your sides as the stitch in your lower abdomen eats at your senses.

The two of you slowly make your way over to the door, feeling as if you've just run a marathon.

You walk up to the entrance. The large glass doors welcome you with warm arms. Sike. You accidentally walk into to the doors because you don't see the glass and end up hurting your nose.

You stumble back and a red hue flushes over your cheeks. "I-I meant to do that," you say while clearing your throat.

Jungkook swallows back his laughter before clearing his throat, "Ah- ahem, check near the coat hangers."

You nod and walk towards the several coat hangers. You look around the coat hangers, searching every nook and corner in hopes of finding it. Jungkook stares at you while you search like mad-woman.

You stand upright and stare back at him, your dark irises coat with a hint of frosty bitterness seeing as to how the male wasn't even putting any effort to help you find it.

"Geez, thanks for the help, buddy," sarcasm gropes the words that escape past your rosy lips.

"Oh- um- sorry."

Jungkook frantically starts searching as well.

~

"I'm going to be trapped to you forever," you cry out in despair.

After twenty minutes of aggressively searching around the coat hangers and then the lobby, you and Jungkook fail to find the keys. Now the two of you are sitting on a small couch in the lounge, contemplating your lives.

"I-I will never be able to live my life, and I will grow old and d-die and you will be stuck to me a-and," you eyes widen in horror. "Oh my god, I might have to share a coffin with you."

Jungkooks huffs, "Don't be ridiculous, if we really have to, we can get these cut open."

You shake your head, "No, actually we can't."

Jungkook looks at you questioningly.

"You see, these are special handcuffs used for undercover missions, the police department owns them and there is a variety of them."

"These are used for missions that require seduction, sometimes the cops would go undercover and seduce the criminals and place these on their wrist, pretending it's for sex when really they are just arresting them,"

You slightly pull your hand up causing your's and Jungkook's hand to dangle in the air, "These cuffs are unbreakable."

Jungkook's mouth is left slightly agape.

"Wait," the boy starts, "why are we wearing these ones if they are used for seducing people and those kinda missions?"

"Cause they were the most comfortable."

Jungkook nods before dropping his head into his other -free- hand and resting it there.

"Where else did we goooo?" you whine.

As you say this, a posh lady enters the hotel her heels clicking against the marble as she strides over towards the reception. She  was wearing a lavish pink coat and carrying a high-end handbag. There was a small white poodle in her bag that poked its head out and looked around the hotel.

Jungkook notices the poodle and scrunches his nose up, feeling the urge to sneeze again. You notice the boy's expression and couldn't help letting out a giggle.

"It must suck to be allergic to the cutest things in the world."

Jungkook shakes his head, "not really."

"Oh come on, don't tell me you weren't even the tiniest bit jealous when you saw me playing with that puppy earlier."

Jungkook opens his mouth to reply but he freezes.

"The puppy," he says. "The keys must have dropped out of your jacket when you were playing with the puppy."

Your eyes widen.

Before you know it, the two of you sprint outside, to where you were earlier this morning.

The posh lady catches the two of you running out like maniacs and displays a disgusted look. She leans over towards the receptionist and whispers, "why do you let people like that into the hotel?"

The receptionist laughs, "Oh, if only you knew who those people were."

~

You and Jungkook spent a whole hour searching for those stupid keys. A WHOLE HOUR. You both were outside the hotel, searching for the keys as if your lives depended on it. Well, it kinda did.

"It's no use," Jungkook lets out frustratedly. "We are never going to find it."

You drop to your knees. Jungkook awkwardly crouches next to you so your hands wouldn't hurt.

"Think Y/N, think!" you say out loud to yourself.

Silence engulfs the two of you. You inhale heavily, wishing for a brilliant plan to pop up in your brain...

A brilliant plan pops up in your brain.

"The tracker!" you exclaim almost breathlessly. "The key has a tracker installed on it just in case it gets lost!"

You stand up abruptly and pull out your cell phone.

"Are you kidding me?" Jungkook cries. "You basically had the location of the keys with you in your pocke-"

"What the hell," your eyes widen in shock.

Jungkook felt a wave of fear tingle at his senses upon seeing your foreboding expression.

"What?"

"It says that the keys are 35 kilometres away from here!"

"WHAT?!"

You nod.

"How are we going to-"

You lunge forward and shoot your hand out towards the road. A small taxi sees your actions and comes to a halt next to where you were standing. You open the door of the taxi and jump inside, pulling along the frazzled brunette with you.

Jungkook hands you a face mask and you place it on hastily before jutting your hand out towards the driver, showing him the directions that were on your phone.

"Are you sure you wanna go there now, miss? The place is quite fa-"

"Drive," you state bluntly, in a calm tone that was laced with intimidation.

The driver gulps before nodding and pressing his foot against the accelerator. You and Jungkook awkwardly sit tightly pressed together.

You watch as the streets merge into a blurry painting, the starry sky that illuminates the houses twinkle down onto the gravel road as the vibrant tree's sway gently in the breeze.

The sight was calming.

So calming that it lulled you to sleep, the sleep that beckoned you to enter a dreamy state of consciousness.

~

-

"Dadda!" you screech happily while running into the arms of your loving father.

"Ah Chubs, you're growing heavier each year," he says while heaving you up onto his back.

You kick your small feet around in excitement.

"How much does my sweetheart love daddy?"

You spread your arms wide. "thish mush."

"That much! I don't think I can handle all that love my dear."

You giggle, spreading your arms even wider to tease your dad.

"O-oh that's too much love, my heart."

"How mucsh do you vowe Chubs?" you ask while pulling your dad's hair.

Your father twirls you around causing you to squeal in delight.

"I."

"LOVE."

"YOU."

"THIS MUCHH," your dad gently throws you onto the couch and starts to tickle you.

You choke out a giggle and breathlessly squeal in delight.

Your dad stops tickling you and pulls you close, "I love you so much," he whispers into your small belly.

-

You jolt awake at your name being called. "Y/N?"

You look around before rubbing your eyes. You can feel the slight moisture underneath your eyes so you furrow your eyebrows.

"Hey, are you okay?"

You wipe your eyes quickly before smiling brightly, "Haha yeah, I'm fine."

"Are you sure cause-"

"We're here," the driver interrupts.

"Let's go," you say cheerfully while getting out the car.

"Where are we," Jungkook asks while looking at his surroundings.

"I don't know, let's just find the key's first," you say while walking in the direction of where the key was supposed to be. Your eyes glued to the phone screen while Jungkook was glued to your side. Neither of you seem to notice the deteriorating battery percentage of your device.

Jungkook walks next to you and stops once you come to a halt.

"The pet groomers?"

You look up, noticing that you two were standing in front of a pet grooming store.

"It says the keys are here," you say while pointing at the store.

The two of you scurry around the store, trying to find the keys.

After minutes of searching, you finally spot the keys close to a gutter.

"I FOUND THEM," you shout excitedly while picking up the keys. You turn to Jungkook and unlock the handcuffs. You pull your hand away and rub at your sore wrist.

"Okay let's call a taxi and go back, it looks like it's about to rain."

"Yeah, this place looks deserted," Jungkook says while a gentle frown etches his features.

"Oh no."

Jungkook looks at you confusedly. "What's wrong?"

"My phones dead."

The look of horror that strikes the male's face was art-gallery worthy.

It was that dramatic.

"H-how are we going to go back? We don't even know where we are."

"I don't know, ugh," you groan in frustration.

"I swear this day can't get any worse," Jungkook cries out...

The day just got much worse.

Suddenly the sky crackles with lightning and thunder booms ferociously. The clouds starts spewing out puddles of rain, steadily drenching the two miserable humans that stood like losers in the lonely streets.

"You have got to be kidding me," you sigh out as the rain pours down.

The wind decides to join the party and before you know it, the two of you are standing in the middle of a huge storm. The icy breeze mixed with the cold harsh rain causes the two of you to start shivering uncontrollably.

The only shop there was, was the pet groomers but that didn't have any cover near it.

"Let's run under a tree or something," you yell.

"No silly, it's thundering, we could literally be toast if we stand under a tree," Jungkook shouts to make his voice audible over the storm.

Your body starts to feel numb as the cold winds brush past you.

"I-it's so cold," you say as your teeth chatters.

Jungkook nods, feeling terribly cold himself. "Let's just keep walking till we find some type of shelter."

The two of you start to walk in the heavy rain. Bodies shivering. Clothes drenched. Stomachs rumbling. The handcuffs were off but the two of you stayed close, leeching of each others body heat.

"J-Jungkook?"

"Y-yeah?"

"I-If I die, I h-hope you find another lawyer."

"Y/N?"

It felt weird for some reason, the boy calling your name. It made your stomach do this weird thing. You brushed it off as gas.

"Y-yeah?"

"C-can you r-run fast?"

You looked at the boy confusedly.

"I mean I-I guess," as soon as you finished your sentence, Jungkook grabs your hand.

"What are-" before you can finish speaking, Jungkook sets off into a sprint.

You don't even understand what is happening, all you know is that you are sprinting along with your client to god knows where.

Your legs ache as you speed down the street.

"Jungkook where ar-"

Then you see it. A bus nearing the bus stop.

You gulp your questions down and pump your legs harder. Jungkook holds onto your hand tightly and runs faster, fearing that the bus will depart without you two.

Luckily the two of you make it to the stop just in time. You both enter the bus, panting, rain dripping down your clothes.

The bus driver hides his disgusted expression. You look at him apologetically before paying the bus fare. The two of you stumble to the back of the bus and slouch down onto the seats.

"I am so t-tired and c-cold a-and hungry," you whine.

"Me too."

You watch out the window as the bus moves past some empty streets. Your head throbs and your body aches. You feel fatigued.

"Can't wait for this shithole day to end," you mumble.

Jungkook lightly chuckles.

The bus heads down the road with only a couple other passengers travelling in it. Jungkook notices a small store up ahead and presses the bell to stop the bus. The bus slows down and comes to a halt near the closest bus stop.

~

The convenience store was warm inside and you couldn't help but sigh in content as the heat wave from the heaters slaps onto your freezing skin. You and Jungkook walk over towards an aisle that had some random clothes in it. There were a few hoodies, sweatpants, t-shirts and shoes.

"Let's get some clothes to change into," you say while picking up a white hoodie. There were only two hoodies left and they were both quite large in size. You hand one of the hoodies to Jungkook. Then you find a pair of leggings while Jungkook picks up some black sweatpants. After picking up some warm socks, boots and two towels, you walk over to the counter.

The lady gives you a tired smile which you return with a small nod. You were too worn out to start small talk. You pay for the items and walk towards the bathroom, Jungkook following closely behind.

There was only one bathroom so you say, "I'll change first."

Jungkook nods and decides to go sit on a chair nearby.

You walk inside the bathroom and was surprised to find that there was even a small shower. Temptation urges you to use it so you unwillingly give in and decide to quickly indulge yourself in the warm water.

After a quick rinse and change of clothes, you walk out and gesture for Jungkook to take his turn.

You walk over towards the food aisle and picked out some ramen.

"Spicy cheese," you mumble while reading the packaging. "I think I just found my soulmate."

You walk over to where the drinks were and start to pick out drinks.

"Umm soju?" You ask yourself out loud. "Nah."

You scan the drinks, trying to find the perfect beverage.

"I hope Jungkook likes banana milk," you say while pick up two banana milk'.

You walk towards the counter and pay for the food, sharing an awkward half-smile with the lady.

~

You make the ramen for you and Jungkook and walk to a table outside. It had stopped raining but it was still quite chilly so you snuggle closer to your oversized hoodie. Minutes later Jungkook walks out.

"Sorry I took a while, I decided to have a shower."

Your eyes widen when you see the male. He looked very different in casual clothing. You were so used to seeing him wear that orange jumpsuit that seeing him in a hoodie and pants made you feel as if he was a different person.

The white hoodie fit him perfectly, despite being a bit large on your petite body. The sweatpants hugged his thighs and the whole outfit made him look effortlessly... handsome? No, no, not handsome, c-cool. Yeah, you meant cool.

Jungkook pushes his semi-dry hair back, revealing his forehead. He gently smiles down at you before taking a seat on the plastic chair.

"Y-you look different."

Jungkook chuckles. "I guess it's cause I'm not wearing my prison clothes."

You nod.

"Um, I don't know what type of ramen you eat so I just got you the one I like."

Jungkook's eyes widen once he spots the food. "Oh, I love that flavour, thank you!"

You smile at him, glad at the fact that he wasn't a picky eater.

"Oh also, I didn't know what drinks you like so I just bought us banana milk." You slide the beverage across the small round table and over towards the boy.

The brunette stares at it with widened eyes.

"O-oh I'm sorry, a-are you allergic?" you ask while pulling the beverage back.

Jungkook frantically shakes his head.

"I-it's just that, I haven't had that in...ages."

A silence envelopes the two of you. No one spoke a word and you both just mindlessly chewed away at your food. You wanted to ask Jungkook why he hadn't had banana milk in a while but thought it might have been a silly question.

"I use to have this friend," Jungkook starts. The sharp light from the store reflects off the boy's pale complexion as he speaks.

"He was my best friend," a smile etched onto Jungkook's tender lips.

"I remember we used to sneak into this forest together and he would always bring me banana milk."

"My parents never let me drink sweet beverages, they said it would distort my figure and teeth which will apparently make them run out of business," Jungkook shakes his head while speaking.

"The two of us would always drink the milk while talking about anything and everything."

You notice the fond smile that spreads across the boy's face as he reminisces his friendship.

"He was my only real friend, the only person I actually talked to, the only person that listened," Jungkook finishes off quietly.

"What happened to him?" you ask softly.

Jungkook fiddles with his fingers.

"Nothing," the boy mumbles quietly.

You wanted to ask more but decided not to push it.

The two of you finish off the food and you sigh in contentedness.

The dazzling stars reflect of your coal-like irises as you stare up at the sky. A peaceful silence lurks among the two of you, it was calming, comforting.

The silence is suddenly shattered by the quiet yet audibly vibrations of Jungkook humming. Your ears pick up the noise amongst the silence. The subtle yet sweet melody soothes your mind and an unknowing smile makes its way onto your face.

~Silent night, holy night, all is calm, all is bright

The lyrics of the song plays in your head as you listen to the lulling tune escaping the boy's mouth.

You turn your head to look at the boy.

Jungkook was staring up at the sky, just like you were doing seconds ago. His dark irises were clearly visible now that his hair was swept back off his face. His pink lips were softly pressed together as he hummed. The dim streetlight grazed his skin, causing his prominent jawline to stand out even more. His face had this gentle aura to it, it held warmth but the hint of sadness that lurked near his slight frown was notable.

He was gorgeous. At that moment he was gorgeous. You had to admit it. He was probably one of the prettiest things you've ever seen. His features looked to be as if they were carved by the gods. It made you wonder how anyone could perceive him as a cold-blooded murderer.

"Did you really hate your parents?" you suddenly ask.

Jungkook looks at you and then smiles tiredly.

"It wasn't me who hated them," he says simply.

You sigh. "Do you ever wish to have your parents back?"

Jungkook shakes his head, "You can't get back what you never had."

You look at him confusedly.

"Parents are meant to help you grow up, show you love and explain life," Jungkook stares at you with sad eyes.

"I never had that."
