(n) the euphoria you experience when you are first falling in love
origin ; danish

"Baby, you need to go to the doctor," Phoenix frowned, looking down at me wrapped up in all his blankets and my eyes immediately widened.

"I'm okay," I rushed out, pretending to smile dazzlingly his way which one induced a series of pounding in my head.

"Adrianna," he crinkled his brows when I hissed out an incoherent and moaned in pain.

"This is the fourth migraine you've had this week and you've barely been sleeping," he glowered down at me yet worry bled in his irises.

"I'm not going to the doctor," I pouted, shutting my eyes and cradling my head in my palm against his pillow.

"We're supposed to go out to New River tonight, but you're looking terribly pale, love," he said. This time, I felt the bed dip took a seat on the edge next to my limply laying body.

"We're still going," I fought weakly as my voice cracked and toned down to a whisper.

"Baby," he said pleadingly but once more, I shook my head. And he sighed, giving up.

The past two weeks of summer have flown by fleetingly, making me repeatedly question the concept of time. But they also have been the most torturous two weeks of my bloody life - migraines day and night unrelentingly, countless sleepless nights, and fainting unconscious twice, spontaneously.

I wasn't afraid, these were all things that I'd become accustomed to in my life. But why I suffered from it all so much more and constantly in the past two weeks made me wonder. I wanted to believe it was from the overwhelming feeling and overbearing stress I felt on the daily from working the company and university soon approaching.

"We don't have to go if you're feeling under the weather, Adrianna," he said hesitantly, eyeing me with narrowed eyes.

"We're going!" I said exasperatedly, unravelling myself from the covers and throwing them off my shivering body.

"You have been so excited for this night for the past two weeks, we're going!" I jabbed his chest before rolling off the bed and grabbing my towel.

"Be careful," he cried out, running behind me as if I was wounded and dying as his hands gripped either side of my waist, steadying my slightly swaying steps. I giggled softly as we walked into his en suite and he undressed me and set me down in the tub of warm water.

"Relax, my love," he said softly, pouring in rose scented soap. Moments later, he undressed himself and got in with me, setting me in his lap and I leaned my head on his chest.

"Mm," I stirred slightly, my eyes fluttering open. I found myself still in Phoenix's embrace in the tub and another low moan left my lips involuntarily as he continued massaging my breasts.

"Ph-Phoenix," my nearly inaudible voice trembled as I attempted to hide my face in his chest deeper than before and hide my moans.

"You fell asleep, baby," he said huskily, continuing his mind numbing, soothing assault.

"What time is it?"

"Half past two."

"When are we leaving?"

"I was thinking about four, quarter past four."

"Okay," I smiled, kissing his jawline and burying my face in the crook of his neck once again.

Half an hour later, we got out of the bath which had now turned cold and returned to his bedroom. I threw on a pair of Adidas training pants and a black crew-neck before walking into his closet to find him. A small smile made its way on my face when I saw we both had on Adidas pants and I walked up behind him, wrapping my hands around his built frame.

"Adrianna," he jumped slightly before relaxing into my arms and shaking his head as he chuckled silently.

§

"This is... bloody marvelous," my smile was so wide, it stretched across my face. We drove to the docks of New River before the bloke surprised me, taking us to a yacht on the said docks after he parked the car.

"Whose is it?" I had asked.

To which he answered, "My grandfather's, which he left for me after he passed," and smiled wistfully.

We were now cruising down the isle of New River, the bright blue sky overhead, the sun shining brightly, and the cool breeze nipping at our skin now and then. I watched, absolutely mesmerised, as we passed marvelous, grand, and elegant mansions and yachts on either side of the isle.

"Adrianna, c'mere," he called out for me from his place at the wheel.

"Here, love," he stepped back a bit from the steering wheel, keeping a firm grasp on it and motioned for me to stand between his body and the said wheel and I followed suit.

"Put your hands here and here," he said, taking my hands in his and putting them on either side of the wheel. Before I knew it, Phoenix had taught me the basics of driving the yacht and I smiled widely, laughing wildly at times as I steered the yacht; the breeze whipping my hair in my face and feeling free as ever, lost in the wind, felt all too surreal.

Another half hour blurred past us as if time really didn't exist and it wasn't long after that Phoenix took control once again. He slowed down, halting gently in front of a lavish mansion and began docking the boat. Ten minutes later, he looked at me with a gleaming smile, walking over to me sitting on the cushion seat at the edge of the yacht and picking me up in his arms effortlessly. And he picked up our duffel bags as he made his way off the yacht with me still in his arms.

"Come on, love," he set me on my feet and walked us to the front door of the mansion. The brute surprised me yet again once he pulled out a gold key from his pants pocket and opened the door to the mansion. My eyes widened as I stepped inside first and looked around - two marbled spiral staircases on either side, four stories, a wondrous cathedral ceiling, and an unbelievable amount of rooms on each story.

"Who lives here?" I breathed out, still glancing around and taking in the artistic detail and modern elegance of the mansion.

"You do," came his raspy reply and I gasped feeling him right behind me, aligned with my body.

§

Taking another flute of the rose champagne, I smiled at another couple who introduced themselves to Phoenix and I. The night was classy - orchestral music, a ballroom, a chocolate fountain, a gleaming chandelier, and flutes filled with rose liquid. Throughout the night, we stuck together, elbows links with one another as we introduced ourselves to some here and there and then slow danced to a song or two.

The couple left us after exchanging pleasantries with Phoenix more than myself and he then took my flute from me, setting both our drinks on our table before leading us to the centre of the room, the nearly empty and more so, serene, dance floor. I couldn't take my eyes off of the brute, he was delicious absolution tonight, in a sleek crisp and neatly tailored black tuxedo and a dark pink shining satin shirt, and his luscious hair freshly cut and gelled and slicked to the side, the man was mouthwatering, and he just bloody knew it.

As we swayed together to the current composition, I looked up to meet his smiling face, eyes and all. And I understood why Phoenix Worthington was so wholly and utterly at peace with himself tonight, why he had been so struck by anticipation for this night. It was the annual charity ball hosted by the Arlington Foundation - the place Elliot had stayed for most of his time, for therapy and to help with his unstable mental and emotional health. And though they couldn't help him through and through in the end, it was clear they had a special place for Elliot, dedicating this night to him, just as Phoenix will always have a special place for them in his heart.

"You're motherfucking ethereal," he whispered ardently with twinkling eyes as the current symphony slowly faded and he brought me back up from a slow dip.

It was late at night now, nothing but the ripple of water in the river to be heard as they walked back to his mansion from the charity ball. The moonlight glistened in the water and they walked hand in hand back to his mansion. She thought it was all surreal, walking alongside the isle of New River, Fort Lauderdale, surrounded by ethereal mansions. They made it back to his place only five minutes later as it was just three mansions down from the mansion of the ball.

Adrianna stepped in first, slightly shivering in her dusty rose satin dress - it had a plunging neckline, inducing her to go braless, the back was a v-cut down to her waist with two spaghetti fishtail straps on her shoulder, and there was a side slit down her left leg from her waist to the ground along with a little bit of pooling of the soft material at her feet.

All through the mansion was illuminated with fairy lights and the thought of the lavish mansion actually being hers still lingered in the back of her mind - was it really mine? She had no time to ponder over her thoughts, the next occurrence surprised the hell out of her - hearing the front door slam shut and a rough tug at her wrist. What happened next had her gasping and it all moved too fast for her to actually fathom it. She was slammed against the door and he was breathing down on her neck, leaving a hot trail of kisses along the column of her neck.

"Tonight, you're mine," he whispered huskily in her ear. He hitched her exposed leg on his waist, his hand trailing up and down her thigh, like a feather. She leaned her head against the door, already feeling the heat at her core. Her back was arched, her breasts completely against his front and he groaned feeling her hardened nipples. Bloody hell, she didn't wear a fucking bra!

"I'm always yours," she whispered back breathlessly.

He pulled back slightly just for a moment, loving the look of ecstasy on his girl's face. He didn't do anything for those few moments, he just stared down at his love, with his lust filtered irises and her eyes fluttered opened. They met each others gazes, the hidden look clear as daylight to each other - they wanted, and needed each other. Adrianna took the moment to her advantage, and successfully turned tables.

He was now against the door and she was now pinning his hands to the door on either side of him. She leaned in and softly kissed his lips, never letting go of his wrists. She wanted control even though he practically claimed her tonight as his mere moments ago, but she knew he loved it.

Adrianna pulled away just as he wanted to deepen the kiss and she began placing tantalising kisses along his sharp jawline and down his neck, sucking harshly on various spots, no doubt leaving hickeys. She was surely marking what's hers tonight. Her hands left his and went to undo the buttons on his crisp black tux.

His rough calloused hand went to her waist and she immediately withdrew from him. His eyes darkened a few shades and she smirked. "Nah uh, I'm in control, and if you ever so touch me, I won't give you a, single, thing," and his face twisted in horror as his hands returned to his sides.

The smirk remained on her face until she leaned in again and kissed him roughly. Her small hands worked fast against the buttons of his jacket and seconds later she was pushing it off his shoulder as she was dominating the kiss, and their tongues danced together. Until the jacket fell to the floor and she pulled away very fast. She stared at him, the lust heavy in his eyes as his chest rose and fell rapidly under his dark pink coloured dress shirt. His lips were swollen and slightly apart and his erection was particularly visible in his dress pants, making his pants look tight against his toned legs.

"Okay, I'm going to take of my contacts," she practically exclaimed, her eyes glistening wickedly. He narrowed his eyes and let out an animalistic growl, but she got away before he could get her. She rushed away to their master bedroom and adjoined master bathroom, giggling. He just stared after her, not believing what she just did. Always the fucking tease, no? His mind became an angry rampage as he threw around every colourful word he knew. He was angry, he was oh so angry, enough to punish her. And maybe, that's exactly what she wanted.

Adrianna got to the bathroom and took off her contacts, and put on her square framed spectacles. She made her way back into the bedroom and stood in front of the full length mirror. She stared at her reflection, at herself, truly for the first time that night. She believed she was beautiful in that moment, and a fulfilling blooming feeling spread over her chest. The dress complimented her sunkissed skin, - of course it would, that was the magic of any dress Phoenix ever got her - her makeup was done ever so neatly, making her eye colour pop, and her lipstick, of course, was a striking red, making her look bold in every sense of the word.

She was so lost in her thoughts she barely caught on to the fact that two strong arms wrapped themselves around her small waist. Her eyes met his in the mirror and a ghost of a smile played at her lips.

"God, you're fucking beautiful, especially with your glasses," he said in a low voice and she turned her head slightly to the side, casting her eyes to the ground and leaning her head against his shoulder. Blindly, his hands went to slowly slide off the spaghetti straps of her satin dress and his eyes never left her face. He pulled it off her, throwing it somewhere in the room. his eyes zeroed in on her braless breasts.

"You really didn't wear a bra, all night?" His voice became dangerously low.

She nodded softly, "With this dress, no way in hell."

He groaned, "You're going to fucking kill me, étoile filante." He kissed her, his lips warm and wet on her shoulder as his fingers lightly ran down her arms. Adrianna's eyes fluttered close as she revelled in the feeling of Phoenix Worthington.

A small squeal left her soft, luscious lips when he picked her up bridal style and carried her as if she were a lightweight feather in his arms to their bed. He threw her on it gently, watching in complete satisfaction as her full, perky strawberry creams bounced, her hair splayed out around her, and her lips parted slightly, invitingly.

He crawled on top of her, wasting no time as he claimed her lips in his and letting his rough, calloused hands roam her cosmos of a body freely. He took his time with her, cherishing and worshiping her as if it would be his last, memorising every, single, contour, dent, curve. He hadn't the slightest idea she was doing merely the same, tracing every dent of his toned abs and tracing every pattern etched away in blank ink in his skin after she'd unbuttoned his dress shirt.

They were wholly and utterly lost in each other, inevitable to the destruction that was soon to come. So for now, they settled with a blinding feeling darkening over itself.

"I love you," Adrianna whispered, her delicate fingers were feather like as she traced every contour of her face, stared into his clear blue irises with green rings surrounding them, and memorised even the smallest detail of his perfectly sculpted face.

"I love you," Phoenix whispered, burying his face in the crook of her neck and sucking of the soft flesh of her skin, inducing a sweet, soft, and melodic moan.

He soon left her neck - just as she finished unbuttoning his dress pants and slid them down his legs along with his silk boxers and he helped by kicking them off - trailing his lips down the length of her divine body, leaving searing kisses on the valley of her breasts and then taking each mound into his warm mouth and slowly devouring them, letting her feel the most euphoric she's ever felt. She arched her back, pushing herself more into him and wanting to feel nothing but the pleasure that came with Phoenix Worthington.

He continued making his way down, her stomach, and then her legs, kissing and biting along her inner thigh, skipping over the part she needed him the most. She cried out in frustration, want, need, desire, desperate to feel it all things that came with him.

"Look at me, Adrianna," he all but growled out. Another moan slipped past her lips as she felt his searing breath over the thin cloth of her lace panties. She slowly and begrudgingly picked up her head from the fluffy pillow and her small hands turned pale white at the sight. He pulled the waistband of her lace panties between his teeth, slightly nipping her soft skin, and slowly and surely teasingly slid the undergarment down her long, silky legs.

In the late hours of the night, their bodies moulded together, as they got lost in each other, and losing sight of where she ended and he began. They brought each other to a high only the other could bring them to.

And they loved each other, on this night, as if it were their last time love.
