Coming back from the walk from the pond the boys were feeling pretty Good agreeing that they would spar together if they weren't in the tournament.
Toon was already training but they didn't blame him. That was how he got out any frustrations and cleared his mind, she was a great hero, adventurer and historian.
As the three walked into the mansion they could feel unwanted eyes on them but chose to ignore it as they could hear evil laughing.
The three knew that was never a good sign so they went upstairs to check it out. To none of there surprise it was the little 'villains gang' consisting of Wario, bowser, ganondorf, wolf, Ridley, dark Samus and, king k. Rool.
They all stood in a circle shoving a weaponless link around who was really confused and distressed as he couldn't 'sign' his opinion and knew he wasn't allowed to fight back
The boys knew they couldn't fight. For one the we're villains! Mario, Samus, Fox, DK And Link dedicate there lives to fighting them.
Ness patted Lucas's back as the boy stepped forward rubbing his temples as men haven't noticed them. "PK FREEZE!"
With that the all froze including link but they dragged the hero ice block into his room that was... rather well kept...
A light brown walls and wooden floorboards. A bed that wasn't made but was nice. He had armour sets and weapons hung up in the wall along with photos and books on his desk. He shared a room with pit as his weapon hung up there next to a beautiful shield. The room was actually really calming.
"Pk fire!" Ness was careful with his shot to melt the ice as Link looked around really confused as he walked in a little circle before looking down at them
The hero of Wild put the tip of his open hand to his mouth before lowering it to show his palm. He was doing some sort of sign language. they didn't understand, nor have their cat eyed translator.
"We don't understand Link" Popo rubbed the back of his neck. Wild tilted his head down putting a fist to his chest making a circle rubbing motion with his nuckles
"LUCAS, NESS!! HERE NOW!" Oh no. That sounded like peach and she was fuming as the boys lowered there heads and walked out link followed as he was going to back then up.
Peach stood there next to the wall of frozen villains. "What is the meaning of this!?"
Ness and Lucas gulped Lucas standing behind ness as Link pat his head stepping in front of them. Link tapped his left shoulder, then right before putting his arm down.
"Link dear I know what you have is important but I'm a little busy." Peach couldn't understand as the hero groaned running off
"Some help he was" ness huffed as peach went off about how much trouble they were in and how angry they were all gonna be when it melted. The boys just lowered there head and listened
"Princess" a soft but gruff voice got there attention. It was Shiek!
As Link started explaining himself Shiek translated. "The hero of wild was being targeted for one of their games being shoved around. There two are the ones saved him"
Link smiled happy his story was off his chest. Shaking Shieks hand the ninja walked off
"Loyal tins fault" peach sighed smiling at Link
"Your still grounded tomorrow. Now unfreeze them." Peach folded her arms.
"Pk fire." With that the ice melted away they walked off into Ness's room to get back to there games as ness finally got back to his laptop.
'Vill to our surprise would try the nicest way to win that would cause him the least amount of harm.'
With a click of enter ness started looking for a new one to answer
He had only been grounded for a minute and he was already bored out of his mind.
One caught his interest
"Hey guess who is your favourite adult link?" Ness stood on his chair to look at them
"The one before this one. The one that came same year as me and toon." Lucas smiled referring to the hero of twilight.
Ness knew why he was Lucas favourite.

It was in the brawl year. It had been a month or two and everyone was getting accustomed to the new faces. The kids found out that twilight was a blast to play with. As the were all in the backyard trying to pull him to the ground
"YOU SHALL NOT DEFEAT ME!" Link cries as he pushed himself up as best he could
"ness what do we do!?" Nana cried in her giggles
"Toon aim for the weak spot!!" The cat eyed hero climbed his back like a piggy back ride and tugged his ears knocking him off balance as they all fell to the ground laughing.
There was one person missing who sat on the porch curled up
"Oh no not again. Time out guys" ness ran over to the crying Lucas. "Lucas what's wrong everything's ok see? It's alright." Ness lifted the boys puffy cheeks but it only made him sob more. "L-Lucas um sorry how do I make it better?"
He had no idea what was wrong but Lucas couldn't stop sobbing. When link sat down on the other side on him gently rubbing fingers through the boys mlight blond hair he just cried more and more. But the hero didn't stop
He pulled Lucas into his lap and just let the boy cry. Link knew this sadness well. The sadness of missing someone you love.
Twilight didn't have to say a word as after a while Lucas quietened down but had refused to let go of the mans hand all day. And twilight let him.

Lucas wiped tears smiling at the thought.
"Why were you so upset that day?"
"Popo!"
"What I'm just asking"
Ness knew there were sensitive topics Lucas never wanted to talk about.
"It's ok it was just... you all laughing and having fun reminded me of a long time ago" Lucas tried to make sure his breathing was straight while Popo rubbed his back
"What about you Popo? And fond stories?"
Popo nodded "yea this one was a little while ago"

It was this year. It was when nana decided to start cooking. We still wanted to do everything together but I just couldn't bake or cook. I thought it was for girls as peach and daisy were always the ones in the kitchen cooking.
Dark pit, Falco, Wario and a few more mocked me every time i tried to help my sister out till...
"Look here comes the hero in blue." Daisy giggled meaning no harm as Link started just cooking
"Since when did link know how to cook?" Nana asked as Popo stood on a stool trying to see what guys cook.
Link noticed and put Popo on his shoulders as Popo witnessed first hand all the cool cooking tricks
There was a pot making a sweet and spicy sauce as in a pan he chopped up some meat putting it in with rock salt, herbs and carrot the smell was beautiful. Soon pouring the meat into the pot in had everyone in the dining room though there wasn't much
"Looks like we will need to start a fresh batch." Peach Smiled as wild started pouring plates it got five done. Wild took Popo off his shoulders. He put a thumbs in on an open palm lifting it up but Popo was confused
"I think he's asking if you want to help" peach giggled and Popos face lit up nodding
The winter clad boy help out cooking for around 66 different people as link would dance around the kitchen waiting while R.O.B. Would come in take plates and serve
It was busy but dancing about and talking while waiting for things to cook was the best thing.

"I remember that night" Lucas giggled as he got a yellow and red striped shirt on
"Yeah now I'm links helper in the kitchen." He Smiled wrapping himself in the towel his fair skin becoming cold
"What about you ness?" Lucas asked getting his blank to bundle up in
Ness hummed sitting down on his chair thinking
"I liked the first link."
"What you mean the really serious and scary one?" Popo asked shocked
"Wasn't he young links older counterpart?" Lucas asked
"Yes, and yes. This happened a long time ago in the first smash tournament"

When I arrived a got some pretty harsh looks. I was a kid after all
But link, well Link didn't.
Walking into the large house with the master hand following mario, Samus, Cap, Fox, Luigi And DK all stared at him rather angered master hand would let a child fight?!
Yoshi, pikachu, Jigglypuff and Kirby didn't care as the gave ness a glance before going there own thing
But link? Link smiled. His eyes were sad but he had almost a proud parent smile.
After I got settled down in my own room putting clothes away handing up posters and toys I got a knock at the door
"So your names ness huh?" Link leaned in the door frame. As the red capped boy looked over.
"Yeah what's it to you elf man?"
"I'm Hylian." He snapped a little too quickly for comfort.
"Right and you name is??"
"Link." This man was sharp as he looking around his room with a chuckle not bothered to ask what half of the si-fi movie posters were.
"Right, Anyways what do you want?" Ness asked knowing he would probably mock him or tell him to leave cause he was 'too young'
"I wanna spar" link grinned at him. That smile was almost childish.
"Alright." Ness fixed up his cap and put his backpack on. "Lead the way." The hero smiled
There was a little small talk
Ness asked questions but he would answer short and sharp or ignore him
"Where did you grow up?"
"Kokiri forest."
"How old are you?"
"16"
"Do you have a girlfriend"
"Im engaged."
"WHAT!?"
"Don't ask"
Ness was looking at a soon to be married 16 year old man.
Making it to the area master hand had a lot more time he bothered to count them down
"3!"
Link pulled out his his sword
"2!"
Ness pulled up his shorts with a sheepish smile
"1! GO!!!"
Link charged straight at the child who squat a little as a ball of electricity left his body he yelled "PK THUNDER!" The ball went round and hit in in the back sending him flying at link smashing into the hero's chest as the boy landed giving s smug smile.
Link coughed sending one back as he whipped out a bomb and went running ness who pulled out his bat
Link skidded missing the boys swing but new blew up
Link had dropped the bomb.
The two went all out soon getting others attention
This 10 year old was holding his own against the hero of time!
Ness was covered in cuts but Link was covered in burns as they fell over giggling as both were ready to pass out from exhaustion.
But since that day ness was treated with the respect an original smasher deserved

"WAIT HE WAS 16!" Popo gasped under the blanket he shared with Lucas
"I know right! I was shocked too." Ness giggles in his chair
"I heard stories that the first link was mean, nothing like that" Lucas smiled
Ness nodded "but I think we all know who the best Link is" he used his fingers to count down from three once he got two one they all yelled
"TOON!" They looked at each other laughing as ness put it into the laptop
'Each link has plenty of tales around them. Young, old. New, experienced. But toon is our Hylian. And no one can change that!"
