Her lips felt softer against his..They were so soft and feathery, softer than petals.. He felt like his chest had been set on fire. He placed his hand on her cheeks and deepend the kiss. His tongue gently rubbed on her bottom lips. She tasted like the chocolate ice-cream they had yesterday... Neil pushed further into the kiss, pressing her lips little forcibly to try and gain access in her mouth but avni didn't let him.. Neil hands caressed her jawline and bit on her bottom lips lightly making her part her lips slightly and gained entrance in her mouth.. He started sucking on her tongue slowly tasting her while avni slowly reciprocating his touch..Avni moved her hands around his neck and then slowly moved her hands behind the back of his head playing with his soft hair from the end... Neil captured her lips again kissing her lower lips as if massaging it..It felt wonderful and amazing, but that was when he realised what he was doing. that to with Avni??.. His eyes snapped open..
Avni opened her eyes as she didnt feel any movement..
As they looked at each other Neil jerked avni away..
Both were trying to say something but no words were forming looking here and there and sometimes at each other
Avni got up and quickly ran to the washroom closing the door
Avni: omg what just happened she thought remembering their position and pushed her hair back with one hand on her hip
Avni got ready in 15 mins however she was thinking as to how to go out and face Neil after whatever happened..
She opened the door and came out seen Neil getting his clothes out she looked away walking to the dressing table... while Neil turned slightly to look at her and quickly got into the washroom.
Avni decided to do her hair and all leave the room before Neil comes out
When he came out after having a shower he saw avni wasnt in the room and was a little less nervous.
Once getting ready he went down and saw shweta and avni setting the dining table up for breakfast..avneil actually avoided looking at each other
After all had breakfast Neil left to go to the police station while avni was sitting in her room since shweta and bebe had gone out to meet ragini neela and dayawanti
At the police station Neil was alone since vidyut and and dd went out for a case
At the Khanna mansion avni was sitting on the bed
Avni was getting flashes of whatever happened yesterday and then recalled this morning incident
While Neil was also not able to concentrate on a case file remembering how he saw avni at the club.. then the way he reacted seen that guy dance with avni and then recalling certain things that happened yesterday and then whatever happened this morning
Neil was only thinking about how he woke up finding avni next to him and then the kiss they shared
He closed his file straight away and rubbed his forehead
Neil:how could I even think of doing that too avni, she is my best friend... how on earth did I kiss her like that.. I can never think of kissing her or even look at her in that way... God know what was going in my mind that I actually kissed her... this is wrong... plus I dont even know what avni will even think about me.. I love mithali right?... I mean even if she is no more I still do na.. that's y I never moved on right? Yes yes that the only reason...plus avni is my best friend I mean I even stopped that guy from dancing with her because it wasn't safe as she was just dancing with any random person...plus besties do dance together right so it means I didn't do anything wrong by dancing with her . .... enough neil enough since morning u r thinking about this..
He took a deep breath and leaned back on his chair to imagine mithali face.. but instead he imagines avni face,her smile, her laugh, those luscious lips of hers, her soft long hair, the way her skin feels soft..her big innocent eyes which stands out when she applies kajal... how she would wear mangulstrs and sidhoor in the morning.... he tried to imagine mithali face but all he would see is avni and features... his mind again made him think about the kiss incident and quickly opened his eyes .. he got up and threw a paper weight on the floor
Neil:this isnt right.... I'm thinking about all this to much because of our closeness... nothing else..this can never happen again.. yes it wont happen because we wont allow it to happen again right... he was saying as somewhere he wasnt convinced yet was trying to convince himself
Meanwhile at the Khanna mansion avni was sitting in the balcony lost in thoughts.. she didnt know what to do.. her mind went back to how she saw Neil at the club and hugged him...the way they danced together and how she said she missed him ... their beach moment, their cute antique while walking into the mansion without getting caught...the way they were remembering funny moments during college days and how Neil was playing with her hair storking it now and then.....how they slept together and then next morning found herself in Neil's embrace and how he made her heart skip a beat as he claimed her lips
Avni pushed her hair backward
Avni:what do I do? Just thinking about this isn't going to bring a solution right?.. me and Neil need to talk about this... let me call him she said picking up her phone and dialled his number
Neil looked at his phone to see it flashing avni name
Neil:I'm sorry avni but I seriously cant talk to u right now he said and put it on silent mode.
Avni heard the voice message after few rings.. she tried few more times but he didnt answer
Avni:gosh neil y r u not answering... she asked herself... she rubbed the back of her neck and thought she will wait till he comes back home
Time went like this for avneil.. the more they tried to avoid this incident the more it would make them think about it
Around 7pm neil came back home.
Shweta: tillu freshen up and then come down for dinner
Neil:ok mom
Shweta:aur haan tell avni to come down too... Neil closed his eyes and slowly nodded.
As he reached to the room he saw avni folding her clothes... avni saw Neil walk in and as she was about to call him he went into the washroom to change
Avni waited for him to come out..
Avni:Neil we need to talk she said blocking his way
Neil:avni not now...he said frustrated with his own feeling between mind and heart
Avni:no now is the time.. we have been avoiding it since morning and it's doing nothing but making things awkward.
Neil: avni mom is calling us let's...but he got interrupted by avni
Avni: Neil this morning ... u and I.. i mean u and me.. we.. we shared a moment.. a moment which was unplanned and...but Neil interrupted her
Neil:avni I'm sorry...I really am... but I just dont know what happened.. I mean I wasnt in a state to think...avni frowned looking at Neil
Avni:what do u mean Neil?.. u was sober and so was I.....like...Neil this couldnt have happened like that.. we were not tipsy that time... something was there which made us kiss... I agree whatever we did yesterday was thanks to all those alcohol but this morning it was all flushed out of our system so then how can u say that u wasnt in a state to even think
Neil:avni .. u r right we were sober... but.. how do I tell u... ok look Avni ...u know I never looked at a girl in that way after mithali right.. and right now I can never give u that place as it was for mithali only... try to understand... we r best friends .. yesterday we were tipsy and due to that we got a little closer yesterday and this morning the kiss was a mistake which shouldnt have happened but it did...due to our proximity we got lost.. I can never think of u and look at u in that way.. this happened today but I promise it wont happen again ...as I said I can never look at u in that way and never will as u r my bestie... avni whatever happened wasn't meant to happen and it was a mistake....he said in one go... Neil didnt mean to say all that in that way but somewhere it hurt avni very badly
Avni looked at Neil... how could he even think she would thinking about taking mithali place
Avni:Neil first of all I didnt say I wanted to take mithali place and u should know that because if I wanted to do that then I would have done it 3 years back but I didnt.. Aur haan, koi kisika jagha nahi lesakta hai Neil.. Log apne jagha khud banate hai..(and yh Nobody can take another person place neil.... they make their own place)..yeah you are right, It was a mistake.. It truly was.. I forgot my place.. Thanks for reminding me once again.. Don't worry, ye galti fir kabhi nahi hogi.. I wont come in your way.. ok.. she said hurt by his words and left the room
Neil frowned as avni said it was a mistake as somewhere it painted him but wasnt able to understand
Neil:haan it was a mistake ..but y didn't I like it when avni said that as if it hurt me when she was saying it was mistake. He thought and then shrugged the feeling away
Neil: urgh nothing is going right... avni I never meant to say that u to like that yaar... how do I explain to u that your place is different in my life and mithali place Is different he said to himself.. however he was yet to discover avni real place in his life... he was feeling bad saying all that to avni not knowing it wil Hurt her.
As he reached downstairs he saw avni sitting down with others for dinner... he came and sat next to her thinking she will look at him but she completely ignored him.
Neil:avni pass me some salad please he said looking at her.. avni picked up the salad bowl and as Neil forwarded his hand to take it avni placed it near him on the table...luckily the family members didnt notice this
Bebe:Arien haan we forgot to mention one thing.. yesterday when u all went out dayawanti had called us
Avni:what did dadi say bebe
Shweta:that juhi and vidyut will get married at the metha mansion
Neil:but y a sudden chance I mean the venue was booked right
Bebe: haan but after there was some issues with the manager and dayawanti suggested that since their lawn is spacious ... juhi and vidyut will get married from the metha mansion..so now the wedding will happen there.
Neil: that's great...right avni he said looking at her while she didnt respond back to him
Avni:dadi did the right thing.
Bebe:absolutely and the haldi will be held there too
After dinner Neil went to the bedroom while avni helped bebe and shweta
When she came inside she saw Neil looking at a file near his desk
She walked over to the bed and took a pillow while Neil saw her do that and frowned
Neil:avni what r u doing he saw walking towards her while she laid on the couch and turned the other way not answering him
Neil:I'm speaking to u avni.. u dont have to sleep on the couch come on get up and sleep on the bed
Avni closed her eye and ignored Neil trying to speak to her and still didnt turn to face him...while he started at her back as she was facing the other way
Neil looked at her for a min and then went to sleep on the bed... it had been 10 mins but sleep was far away from him.. he sat up on the bed and looked at where avni was sleeping.. he got up and started to walk back and forth glancing at her now and then
Neil:avni? ..avni ? He called out.. avni was awake but had her eyes closed still facing the other way... Neil thought she was actually sleeping and spoke
Neil: Avni, I am sorry.. Mai tumhe hurt nhi karna chahta tha (I didnt want to hurt u) .. It's all so messed up.. I am really sorry
Avni didnt move when he said that.. she was actually listening to him but deep down she was hurt
Avni:( in mind)- 3sal phle v Mitali thi, n aj jab wo nahi hai, tab bhi humare bich mein Mitali hai..aur hamesa rahien gi.. Main samajh gayi Neil, tum kabhi bhi mujhse pyar nahi karoge.. aj mai samjh gayi.. sab mistake hai tumhare liyen.. Don't worry.. aj ke bad I will never hope or wish for ur love..never ever.. ( 3 years ago mithali was there..and now when she is no more...she still is between us.... and she will always stay..I understood neil that u will never love me... today I understood that...its all a mistake for u.. dont worry. From today I will never hope or wish for your love ...never ever) a long tear fell from her eye and wiped it silently.
Next morning... juhi and vidyut haldi was going to take at the metha mansion as they wanted to combine their haldi together.
Avni wore yellow lengha and went down while Neil got ready and came in yellow sherwani
The Khanna family left to go to the metha mansion .. avneil left in one car while prakash, shweta and bebe went in another car.
Neil looked Neil avni now and then but she didnt look at him at all and was busy looking out the window.
As he tries to speak avni turned on the radio and increased the volume while Neil was not happy with the way she was ignoring him
Once they reached there avni hugged her family and then went to hug vidyut and ragini who already arrived
After 10 mins Juhi and her parents came to the metha mansion and avni took juhi to the garden area where the haldi rasam was going to happen
Juhi:what happened y do u seem low
Avni:arien nothing just tired plus it's your haldi y will I feel low...juhi smiled.
Neela bought the haldi and all in turna came to apply haldi on her.. first her parents did followed by bebe,shweta, prakash...the metha family . Aliya applied it in turns and .then Neil came and applied haldi on juhi while she applied a little on his nose...avni came and applied haldi on juhi but then she smeared haldi on juhis face while all laughed
Juhi:avniiiii ....vidyut laughed seen avni do that and when juhi glared at him he stopped laughing
Avni:what... Its my right to do this I wont even spare vidyut she said... juhi grabbed avni and pulled her closer rubbing some haldi on avni's cheeks
Avni: not fair
Juhi:well u cant get away she said...avni got up to wipe her face
Neil passed avni a tissue but she didnt take it and took another from the tissue box
they then applied haldi on vidyut who had a big smile on his face
Ali came and was rubbing vidyut cheeks with haldi for a good 2 mins
Ali:see if we rub haldi for few mins the groom will glow even more after all even grooms should look handsome he said while looking at juhi who rolled her eyes ... while everyone chuckled
Avni came and applied haldi on vidyut rubbing it on his forehead and cheeks...and after riya did and pulled his cheeks and gave him a hug.
Neil came and applied the haldi and hugged vidyut while vidyut applied a little bit on his face ....as dd came to apply haldi on vidyut poor guy couldnt escape as vidyut applied haldi on him
Neela: u all r applying it on each other as if its holi
Ali:correct that's what we r actually thinking
All laughed ...Ali got up and applied it on the elders and avni and Aladdin joined him followed by the rest...avni was about to apply haldi on Neil but she backed away recalling their bedroom confrontation while the smile fell from his face seen her stopping and take a step back
