I opened my eyes to cries of pain and anguish.
Lost in a cloud of smoke, my mind stained with blood.
Fear feared what I had become,a soul that had rot.
Starved of love and joy,
A human with an empty soul.
Even today as those screams haunt me awake and asleep
I close my eyes each day hoping to see a world with a better me.
