                    Oliver Black

"How could you have the wrong damn files?!" I roared as I slammed the incorrect files back on my desk.

"I'm sorry, sir." Sean said. "I.. I can't get through to the right person at Adley Corporations."

"Are you kidding me?!" I slammed my hand on the desk. "They're important!"

"I'm aware sir. Everyone's in meetings all day, I'm trying my best to get the correct ones, but I'm just getting the run around." He was obviously feeling frustrated. It's not his fault he was given the wrong ones, but they should have been checked before they were absolutely necessary.

"I'll sort it out. Go back and do your work." I sighed in exasperation. "Next time check that you have the right ones."

"Yes of course. I'm very sorry Sir!" He exclaimed and practically ran out the door.

I picked up my phone and hit the line for my PA. "Get me Mr. Adley or Miss Adley." I instructed Clara.

After 5 minutes she had me on the line with Mr. Adley.

"Oliver, what can I do for you son?" His gruff voice was unpleasantly pleasant.

"One of my team members was given the wrong files. I need the correct files by tomorrow morning."

"Oh? I'll have the files organised right away. What were they for?"

"The files on freight and shipping."

"Okay. I'll have it organised." He sighed. "Be sure to check them next time." His tone became more irritated.

"Of course. I have meetings all day today, I may be quite late to pick them up."

"That's fine, I'll make sure someone is here to hand them over to you and a guard to unlock the door for you."

"Thank you." Relief washed through me, now that it was organised.

He hung up the phone and I got back to work.
My meetings ran late and ended up running back to back. We didn't get much of a break at all.
By 9 pm I had dismissed Clara and finished off as much paperwork as possible.

At 10:30 I couldn't do any more. I figured I'd just come in early in the morning and finish the rest.
I pulled on my suit jacket and coat.
The rain had started to trickle in and thunder and lightning clapped in the sky.

I made my way to my car and drove to Adley Corporations where a security guard was waiting.

"I'm sorry for making you wait." I told the man who had probably been standing in the weather since closing time.

"Its fine. I'm on the clock anyway!" He gave me a crooked smile.

I proceeded through the dimly lit building and into the elevators where I hit the 25th floor button.

I walked out into near darkness. I was about to follow the light but stopped when I heard a voice from the opposite direction. The muffled sounds got louder and clearer as I neared the meeting room. I saw a silhouette that, without a doubt was Avery.
The dim light that shined in from outside lit up her face and red hair.

"If there is a next time and you don't back the fuck off, I will have you charged with extortion and stalking Leah."

The aggressiveness in her voice shocked me. I didn't think she was capable of it. She always seemed meek and soft.

Leah must have been caught by paparrazi again.
So Avery's the one who has to sweep the mess under the rug.

Paparazzi sure can be a whole other issue to deal with. Theyre usually greedy and sly bastards.

Avery hung up and stood in the dark room. She seemed to be staring out the window and watch as the world rolled by underneath her feet.
Loud thunder boomed and filled the silent room, while lightening illuminated the night sky.
She looked beautiful and content with watching the storm from the safety of the board room. But I could see the exhaustion, even from where I was standing.

"Long night?" I must have startled her because her phone went clattering to the ground.

"Mr. Black?" She asked and picked up her phone. "You scared me."

"I apologise." I chuckled at her reaction.

"How long have you been standing there?" She crossed the room over to me and I could see the bags a little closer.

"Since you told, what I'm guessing is a paparazzo to 'back the fuck off'" I smirked in amusement.

"Oh, I'm sorry." She sighed. "I didn't hear you come in."

"Its fine." I shook my head. "So how much did you agree to pay him?"
I wondered.

"... $115,000.." She played with her red pony tail sheepishly.

That amount was no joke for a picture.

"Christ." I murmured "I can only guess it was bad."

"That's all it ever is these days."
She sounded so worn down.

"What'd she do?" I asked.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Black but I can't tell you." Avery replied and started walking out of the room, leaving me to follow.

I mean, that is fair. It's being kept from the public for a reason.
But I'm still able to find out if I really wanted to. At this point though, I really don't care.

"You're after files, correct?" She asked.

"Yes, they're necessary for the project."

We reached her office and stepped into the light.
I took the opportunity and checked Avery out while she was distracted. Her emerald green form fitting knee length dress hugged her curves magnificently.
Her natural bubble butt was emphasised and so tempting.
My hands itched to run over her supple and soft body.

Avery continued to look over her desk and found the multiple files neatly stacked and passed them back.

"Do you always stay here this late? In the dark?" I frowned.

How often does she get made to work late?

A little smile tugged at her rosy red lips. "No, if I'm asked to finish something I stay back." She began turning off the computer and slid her laptop into her bag. "And I enjoy the dark because of that view in the meeting room." I watched as she pulled on her coat and collected belongings.
"Was that all you needed?"

"Yes, that was it." I double checked the files and turned to leave the room.
The hallway light turned on and I began walking down to the elevators.

I pressed the button and the lifts opened immediately.
We entered silently and I pressed the ground floor button.

After a minute I noticed she didn't press the button for car park.

"Do you not have a car here?" I asked frowning slightly.

"No." She replied.

"How are you getting home?" My frown deepened.

She pulled up her sleeve and checked her wrist watch. "Cab."

What?! What would she have done if it were an hour or so earlier? Catch a bus? How could Adley not at least send her a car or something?
Even catching a cab at night can be dangerous.

"No, I'll take you home." I said with finality.

"No, it's okay." She declined.

"I'm not giving you much of a choice. It's raining and you'll have to walk to find a cab unless you're lucky." I left little room for her to argue.

She sighed in defeat. "Thank you, Mr. Black."

"Oliver." I said and glanced down at her. "Just call me Oliver."

She nodded quickly and we crossed the lobby.

I opened the car door for her and helped her slide in before getting into the drivers side.

There was a comfortable silence. I think we were both too tired to keep up a conversation.

Avery leaned her head on the window as we drove. I couldn't help but chuckle when quiet snores entered my ears.

I made it to the black metal gates and thought it would be best to wake her rather than someone in the house.

I leaned over and gently nudged her shoulder.
"Avery." I called softly.

"Hm?" She hummed and opened her eyes. "Oh, sorry and thank you." She sent me a tired smile. "I'll be fine from here."

Although it wasn't raining it was quite windy. I gave her a stern look. "Open the gates and I'll drive you up."

She nodded and punched a code into the keypad. The gates slowly swung open and she climbed back in.

"Do you walk this every day?" I asked.

This driveway was a hike and I assumed she does it in those heels of hers. There's no way a pair of runners would fit in that bag.

"Mmhm." Avery yawned again.

I smirked. No wonder why she has a nice ass and great legs.
My smirk fell. How did they not buy her a car? Do they really make her do this every day?
For a beautiful woman, that's just asking for trouble on the streets of New York.

I pulled up out the front of the house and asked for her phone.
Her eyebrows knitted and she looked confused, but still complied.

"I've just put my number in, if you're stuck or need a lift home give me a call." I placed it back into her small hands.

"Thank you, Oliver." Her eyes softened and her lips formed a sincere smile.

My heart felt like it skipped a beat when she said my name and gave me that beautiful smile. My member even began to twitch.

What the fuck?

I watched her disappear into the house. The view of her ass and toned legs didn't help the situation I had going on. It felt like all the blood had rushed from my head and concentrated on the stiffening organ.

No one has gotten me hard just by saying my name.
