"So, I'm the distraction?" I ask Niall as he nervously rushes towards the door. I solidly stand next to Ruby's bed as he opens the door and pulls her into her room. He quickly closes the door behind her and she laughs at how nervous he is.
"Good. You're already here. So, Niall explained everything to you, yes?" She questions once she notices me standing in the room. She looks over to Niall after I nod my head and he does the same, assuring her that everything is good.
"Okay, we can't mess this up guys'. I don't know if this will work, but we have to try. If anything goes wrong then we all will be in deep shit. No doubt in my mind if Harry finds out then...uhh." I can hear how nervous Niall is as he talks and I watch as Ruby chuckles lightly before pulling him into a hug. She quietly shushes him before rubbing small circles on his back. I'm shocked when I immediately see Niall calm down from Ruby's touch and to be honest I find it quite strange. I wouldv'e never guess that these two people were in love. I didn't even think a vampire could love something other than itself and blood.
"It's going to be okay." Ruby coos and I watch as Niall nods his head slowly in agreement.
"It's just I know Master and I know that he is smart and.." Ruby cuts his rambling with a small peck on his lips that I can tell soothes Niall's nerves in a second. He smiles at her and I lightly cough after a long silence of them just looking at each. As if they forgot I was here, they both turn to me with bewilderment. Realization kicks in on both their faces and Ruby rushes to my side before grabbing onto my hand.
"Thank you again for doing this. It means so much to us." She smiles before giving me a tight squezze and I return her small gesture, assuring her that it's no problem even thought deep down, I don't want to do it.
"Are you guys' sure you want to leave Shadow?" I mumble after releasing Ruby's touch. I watch as both Niall and Ruby look at each other before growing massive grins. Ruby walks over to Niall before taking his hand in hers and looking back to me.
"We really do." Ruby speaks up and Niall looks down at her. I notice just by the way he looks at her just how much he really loves her. Obviously, if he is risking his life and loosing his job for her and the baby, then he must. I let out a breathe as I think of how dangerous this is going to be for them. Vampires and humans aren't suppose to be together even outside of Shadow. Plus, they have this baby coming along and if civil vampires find out about their connection with each other, they might tell and then Ruby and Niall would be in big trouble. They both would go to the Drainers. At least that's what Niall told me.
My mind starts to remember the plan and the longer I think about it, the more nervous I get. Ruby seems to think it's a plan that won't fail, but I'm a little more on Niall's side when it comes to it. I guess I'm the only person that Niall and Ruby have told, so that makes it even more difficult. They want me to be a distraction for Harry while they manage to escape form Shadow and in my all honest opinion, I don't think that I can deliver. Apparently, Harry has cameras all on the outside of Shadow and anytime new activity of some sort comes to view on the cameras, it sends him a notification. How I'm suppose to keep him from looking at it? I don't know, but Niall and Ruby think that I can do it.
"So, this is all happening when exactly?" I ask again, having too much going through my mind, I forgot.
"Three days." Nial reminds me and I nod my head while locking it in my mind.
* * * * *
"You missed a spot." Luke nudges my shoulder and some of the sink water splashes onto my face from hitting the bowl in an awkward way. I lightly laugh before pushing onto his shoulder again and wipe the warm water off my face.
"That's the second time, you've gotten my face wet." I scowl at Luke and for a second he doesn't know what I'm talking about, but when I raise my eyebrows he slowly starts to remember and lightly tilts his head back before letting out a laugh.
"I forgot about that. You're lucky you didn't leave a scar!" Luke looks down at his hand- the part that I scratched when he tried waking me up th morning off the party. I flashback to that day and remember that that's when everything went super downhill. I finally got to see my sister again, but then I got her taken away and my privileges to see Louis were gone too. I wish that Harry would've never sent Esmay to the Drainers or Liam's girlfriend. If he didn't, things would be allot different right now. My blood boils as I begin to remember Harry and I start to plant that this is all his fault. The more and more I think about it the more I get upset and I'm even more mad because I know that I have to distract him in two days when Niall and Ruby leave.
"I'm happy your feeling better." Luke brings me out of my mind and I look at him before plastering a fake smile. Not at all am I feeling better, but I might as well act like it. At least I'm up and doing stuff. Those two weeks of me just lying in bed were not fun. "You seriously need to eat though, I mean you look like skin and bones." He pinches my skin and I let out a small whimper from the pain, but Luke only chuckles before taking the bowl I cleaned and drying it with the hand towel he's holding.
"You too.." I turn around once I hear the familiar head chef's voice from behind us. "Time to serve." He pushes two rolling carts towards us and Luke gestures me to go through the big double doors that leads into the eating area.
"Man, I hate kitchen duty days. I hate having to eat after everyone else." Luke mumbles beside me as we both stride towards the doors. After serving all the humans food and finishing up th edirty dishes, Luke and I sat down and ate with the other two slaves that wer're on kitchen duty with us. The meal we had was delicious, honestly and I devoured it, considering I don't even remember the last time I ate willingly.
"So, you're Ellie?" One of the helpers asks me while he has a mouth full of food. His brown wavy hair almost reminds me of the way Harry's looks, but Harry's is definitely better. I love the way it shapes to his head in a perfect way and the way it feel when I slide my fingers through it.
"Yes, she's Ellie." Luke answers for me before nudging my shoulder and bringing me out of my thoughts. I curse at myself for thinking of Harry like that and quickly nod my head at the boy.
"Oh yeah, I'm Ellie. Why?" I ask, but the other guy next to him speaks up before my question could be answered.
"So, you're the new Aurora. The one Master is all crazy for." The darker skinned boy laughs and my face shows confusion from his comment. My head wraps around the same name Henry mentioned- Aurora.
"Shut up, Calum." Luke scowls at him.
"Ashton is the one that bang up the question." He points to the boy with the familiar hair and he looks over at Calum with sewn brows.
"I was just asking if she was Ellie idiot." Ashton nudges his shoulder, making Calum almost fall from his seat, but he quckly straightens himself before he could.
"Yeah, but that's why you were asking and you know it." Calum spits back and I see Luke roll his eyes from beside me. Just as I was about to ask what they all meant by how Harry is crazy for me, the two big doors swung open and we all turned around to see who came in.
"Oh, shit. Who's in trouble." Calum says under his breath as we watch Zayn approach our table. Ashton lightly kicks Calum's leg and everyone stays silent after Calum cries out in pain once Zayn reaches us.
"How was work?" He speaks up and we all nod our heads before mumbling that it was fine. Zayn's eyes find mine and my heart raises as he points his finger at me. "Come." He gestures his finger to stand up and come towards him and I look at Luke with a nervous expression before doing what Zayn said to do. I stand close to his side and watch as he turns around before making his way to the exit doors of the dining area. I follow close behind him and I hear Calum say something under his breath before we leave.
"Where are you taking me?" I ask as we make out way down the large hallway. We've been walking in silence for too long and each step I take the more nervous I get to wherever we are going. I already know that he is probably taking me to Harry and I can feel my pace slowing down as a way to try and waste time. I fall alittle behind Zayn and he notices because he turns around and keeps a small glare on is face. I pick up my pace and reach his side again before letting out a anxious breath.
