i let myself into brandon's apartment with my key
as soon as i step foot in his place, i hear moaning
i hold my breath, hoping that it isn't what i think it is, as i slowly make my way to his room
i open the door, seeing him on top of another girl, both of them moaning
i close the door, before running out of his apartment and to my car
i drive to mariah's place, barely holding back the tears
as soon as i hop out of my car, the tears start falling and i don't try to stop them
i knock on the door, heath opening it shortly after
he pulls me into a hug, closing the door behind me as he calls for mariah
once she sees me, she pulls me into a hug as we walk over to the couch
"what happened, babe?" she asks
"brandon cheated on me" i barely get out
heath sits on the other side of me, rubbing my back
"that doesn't seem like him" he says
"i went to his place and heard moaning and when i opened the door, i saw him over top of a girl and-" i sob into my hands harder
"oh babe" mariah whispers, pushing my hair back "how about some ice cream and a movie"
i nod
she smiles, starting to get up but heath beats her to it, running to the kitchen as she stays with me, the sobbing mess
my phone starts ringing
i pull it out, seeing brandon's name
i throw my phone on the table, letting it go to voicemail
he calls again and again
i turn off my phone completely, wiping my eyes as heath walks back into the room with an ice cream container and three spoons
i smile at the gesture, thanking him as we all dig in, after finding a movie to watch
a little ways into the movie, there's a knock on the door
mariah pauses the movie as heath gets up to answer the door
david comes running in and over to me
"i'm so sorry. here, watch this" he says, handing me his macbook, pressing play
it's footage dated from today
i see brandon on the screen, making my eyes water again as i don't want to see him, but i watch like david said to
"come on, brandon, it'll be fun" david says from behind the camera
"pretending to cheat on my girlfriend is not fun" brandon argues
"but i need vlog content"
brandon shakes his head
"this'll just cut to a clip of you doing it"
the screen goes black for a moment before showing brandon's room
"this is the fucking weirdest thing i've done" brandon says, gesturing to jason who's dressed up in a dress and a wig with makeup on and everything
david laughs along with jason
"i swear to god david, if she hates me because of this, i'll kill you" brandon says, pointing at him
david turns the camera on him, throwing a hand up in surrender before putting it back on jason who's crawling onto the bed
"god, i shouldn't be doing this" brandon says "she'll either beat me up or cry. i don't care if she beats me up, but if she cries, i'll-i'll go insane"
"hopefully she beats you up then" david says, laughing along with jason
the screen goes black again and i assume it's over until i see another clip rolling
it's of the dimly lit room, brandon and jason's fake moans echoing as i see myself open the door before closing it again
a loud bang following seconds later
brandon jumps off the bed, flicking on the light
"fuck" he screams
"it'll be okay, brandon" david says, calmly
"yeah, i mean, who wants to fuck this" jason says, gesturing to himself
no one laughs
brandon shakes his head "this is exactly what i didn't want to happen. she's crying right now because of me"
"you don't know for sure. she could've stormed out angrily" david says
brandon shakes his head again "no, if she was mad, she would've cussed me out right then and there"
"fuck, i'll fix this. i swear" david says before running out of the room, turning off the camera
i wipe my tears as i close the laptop
i look at david, smiling weakly "get your clickbait now so i can go to my man"
he laughs, vlogging my face for a moment before standing up, taking his mac and walking out to his car after apologizing a thousand times and hugging me again and again
i hug heath and mariah goodbye, thanking them a million times before hoping in my car, driving to brandon's apartment
i let myself in again, hearing commotion in his bedroom
"dude, she'll forgive you" jason says
"no she fucking won't"
"for the hundredth time, yes she will"
"no she won't jason, just fuck off"
jason sighs, looking up, making eye contact with me
i gesture for him to go and he winks
"fine, i'm leaving" jason says, walking past me, and out the door
"good" brandon mumbles, sitting on the edge of the bed with his head in his hands
his body shakes as i quickly make my way over to him
"i guess i cried for nothing, huh"
he jumps slightly before looking up at me, tears streaming down his face
he doesn't move from his spot
"go ahead. yell, scream, cuss me out, tell me how stupid i was for going along with the stupid fucking prank, tell me how bad of a boyfriend i am for even pretending"
i shake my head, kneeling down in front of him, holding his hands in mine
"you are none of those things, baby. it was a prank. it wasn't real. it's done and over with"
he shakes his head, taking his hands out of mine "i made you cry"
"so what? you cried too"
"it's not the same thing. i cried because i thought you would never forgive me. you cried because of what i did to you"
i stand up, walking in between his slightly parted legs, placing a hand on his cheek
"i don't care that you made me cry. i'm just glad that it wasn't real. that's all i care about"
he shakes his head, a tear cascading down his cheek
i gently wipe it away with my thumb
"you are mine and i am yours" i say, placing a kiss to his forehead "i love you brandon calvillo"
he smiles "i love you y/n y/l/n"
i smile, leaning down to press my lips against his
he kisses back as his arms wrap around my waist, pulling me into him more
he pulls away, looking up at me "i'm still so sorry and i promise that i won't do anything like that ever again or-"
i cut him off, placing my lips on his for a moment
"you are forgiven, so stop apologizing"
he blushes "sorry"
"babe" i say, laughing
he laughs, shaking his head
i smile wrapping my arms around him as i push him back, flat against the bed, both of us erupting into a fit of laughter
