Chapter 27
Lisa was dragging my hand as we proceed to the parking lot, my smile doesn't seem to vanish as I saw her soft hand intertwined with mine and my heart also started to beat mad again when I sniffed her so familiar and addictive vanilla scent. She's finally here with me and I couldn't help but to get excited
"Lisa? Where are you taking me" I tried to talk but she only remained silent while dragging me and her grip on my hand only tightened. We stopped in front of my cousin Taehyung who is leaning now on his car while crossing his arms. He stands up straight when he saw us coming
"You took your time Liz" he said and he smirked when his eyes immediately darted on our hands intertwined with each other.
"Sorry about that but can we use your car? I need to talk to Jennie, use mine" Lisa said and threw her car keys to Taehyung.
"Why would I use your car? Why don't you use yours Liz?" He asked confused, Lisa's eyebrows furrowed when she lingered her eyes around the place.
"They will get suspicious if they saw me with Jennie on it so I better use your car so they won't know that it is me using it. Meet me up to the mall in an hour so that we can switch" Lisa explained, Taehyung just nodded
"Okay then, don't take too long" he said before he taps Lisa's shoulder and entered Lisa's new branded car. So I guess after the incident her parents let her drive again.
"Wait what are you two talking about Liz? Suspicious? Who will get suspicious?" I asked her, she finally looked at me with her brown expressive eyes. I felt my heart skipped a beat when her brown eyes stared deep into mine. Her eyebrows furrowed as she stared at my face.
Okay what is wrong with her?
She dragged me again and opened the door of Taehyung's car "Get in" she ordered and I entered the passenger seat.
She closed the door and walk around the car to enter the driver seat. Her hands gripping the steering wheel while she stared in front with her eyebrows still in a thin line. Is she mad?
"Lisa are you mad?" I asked her
She turned her head to me and I could see a hint of anger in her brown eyes, I gulped hard when I noticed she's starring deep into me with that eyes.
"Who wouldn't get mad at you Jennie? It's only been one week and yet you're now flirting with other boys?" she said in an accusing tone.
My one eyebrow automatically raised upon hearing what she accused in me
"Excuse me? Are you accusing me for flirting? Says the one who enjoyed her night in a bar with some random blonde and some brunette in a fancy restaurant in here?! Isn't that what flirting looks like?! And to think that you've been avoiding me for one week and now here you are dragging me out of nowhere just to accuse me of flirting?!" I shouted on her face, Lisa just stared at me with her brown eyes and soon she smiled widely which made my eyebrows now furrowed
What is she smiling at?!
"Are you jealous?" she said and leaned on me with her hands on my seat. I backed away and glued my back against the tinted window of Taehyung's car.
"Hey, you-re so close!" I shouted when she leaned closer while staring deep into my eyes, I could feel my heart thumping mad against my chest and I silently prayed that Lisa wouldn't hear it
She chuckled and I took a deep breathe when she returned back to her seat, she grab her phone on the pocket of her jeans and scrolled on it.
"Is this what you're talking about?" my eyes widened when she show me the picture of her and the blonde chick dancing on the dancefloor. I nodded
"This is Bambam's girlfriend, she's just a friend Jennie. Me, him and my brother Nickhun partied that night when Nickhun celebrated his success on his company, our cousins arrived a minute later and I didn't know they took this picture. I forgot to tell that she's Bambam's girlfriend to them so they assumed she's my girlfriend" she explained.
She scrolled again on her phone and showed me another picture, it was the picture of her having a dinner with the brunette
"This is also my brother's girlfriend, she asked me to take her to dinner one time I visited my brother and my father in their house. We get along easily for she is kind and I intentionally took this picture for my plan"
"Plan?" I asked confused
She showed me her stunning smile "You think I am not prepared for this battle? I am winning now Jennie, everything is under my control" she said and leaned closer again. Her face is now inches away from mine, I could feel her minthy breath on my cheek
"What do you mean?" I asked as I feel dizzy staring at her brown eyes
"Our parents now believe that I'm over you and I'm currently dating other girls, which is I think you also believe and you're a dumb for believing that" she returned again to her seat and eyed me with so much disbelief
"I cannot believe you're doubting my love for you" she said and acted hurt
"Hey! You said you'd date other girls except for me in front of my face!"
She heavenly rolled her eyes "Tss that was my plan Jennie so they will stop watching me, for one week my dad James hired goons to not let me come near you, your parents also hired for you right?" I nodded when I remembered the two men in black following me wherever I go, so that was their purpose?
"But since they saw me now with some girls they thought I'm over you and they suddenly stopped hiring those goons to watch me. My plan is going smoothly until you started to flirt with that boy" she said with toxic in her voice
"Who? Hanbin? I'm not flirting with him!" I contradicted
"Then why the hell did you accept his sandwich?"
"What?"
"And why are you showing your gummy smile to him?" she asked with so much hint of jealousy in her voice
I softly laughed while I stared at her "Then what do you want me to do?"
"Don't smile at him, I know that he has a huge crush on you"
" Are you crazy? He's my partner in our play, I can't do that"
"Do what I say Jennie or you'll see him lying with his face ruined on the floor" she threatened. I got scared knowing the fact that Lisa is true to her words.
"What you did anger me so much and now you made me take a risk again, we're so lucky that Jin and Taehyung are helping us now"
"What? So they knew all about this?" I asked her and ignored her request, she's crazy but I will still do it without her knowing. I suddenly pity Hanbin now, I can't help it, Lisa is so jealous and I don't want his face to be ruined by her.
She nodded her head "Yes, I asked Jin to watch you and to not let you come near me actually. I also instructed Taehyung to fetch you home after school. I want you to be safe" she said, making me widely smile while staring at her face.
Words can't describe how happy I am right now, this is just the beginning of our journey and Lisa is already prepared for it. Jin was right, this love for her is a battle and she's like a solider aiming to win under what circumstances, she has plans and strategies to win. She even changed her name for me and that was her first step to triumph over our parents . She's really crazy in short
"Let me ask you this again Jennie, would you fight this battle with me?" she asked and her eyes shows full of determination to win.
I subtly nodded my head as an answer "Yes Lisa, I will fight with you"
She smiled widely and gets something again on her jeans pocket. My eyes widened upon seeing the familiar small box she gave me last Christmas
"Look familiar?" she said as she took out the dazzling silver necklace. She leaned close to me wraps her arms around me to put my necklace. I looked at the J shaped pendant and mesmerized by the small glittering diamonds surrounding it. "Now you're really mine" she whispered on me
I looked at Lisa whose smile is genuine while looking at my face
"How did you get this? I remember I hid it in my room" I asked her confused
"I asked Namjoon to get it for me baby" she said before crashing her soft lips on mine. It's been so long since she called me her baby that way and it's also been so long since I tasted her sweet soft lips but Lisa never failed to send butterflies and electricity conquering all over my body.
"You guys are late again. Don't fucking tell me the reason why you are late is that you two did make out in my damn car?" Taehyung while munching his sundae asked Lisa and me in front of him. I blushed so hard and just looked away because actually he is right
Lisa on my side just innocently cleared her throat, making Taehyung's eyes went wide as you can imagine
"Oh shit fuck you Liz, how dare you do that to our cousin! And to think you did that inside my car? Holy I will not use it again!" he silently exclaimed in front of the silently eating Lisa
"She's not my cousin" she coldly said.
Oh? Is that so?
"Damn you're right but Jennie, was Lisa good though?" Taehyung bluntly asked me with his mischievous expression looking for an answer to his question and making me blushed as red as the tomato "Shut up Taehyung!" I smack his head
"Tae don't ask Jennie that, we all know that I'm very good at things like that" Lisa on my side put up with him. They laughed their ass off while I am blushing on the corner
"Aww don't be shy Jen, you're so cute when you're blushing" Taehyung said and pinch my cheek with his big hand "Wow your cheeks is so round and puffy!" he said while still pinching my right cheek
"Aww Taehyung, let go!" I tried to let go of his hand
"Drop your fucking hand Tae" Lisa said and smack Taehyung's hand. Lisa stands up from sitting and motioned me to get out of the place, leaving the poor Taehyung hastily paid the bill.
Lisa snacked her arms around me as we walk through the mall "You're really rude Liz, why did we leave Taehyung?" I asked her but she just delicately held my right cheek that Taehyung pinch earlier with her right hand
"Does it hurt? I'm gonna kill that Taehyung" she said and I was about to answer her when Taehyung forced himself between us and snatch me away from Lisa, he did what Lisa did to me by snacking his arm around my shoulder as we walk through the mall.
"Yo couz! Let's leave some assholes around" Taehyung whispered to me.
"What the fuck?" I heard Lisa cussed and runs towards us. She walk beside the smirking Taehyung and she suddenly elbowed him, making Taehyung let go of his arm wrapped around me and groaned in pain. Lisa hastily held my hand with hers.
"Aww what the fuck Lisa, she's my cousin! There's nothing wrong wrapping my arm around her shoulder!"
"Well do that to your other cousins, not my Nini" she said while we're walking towards the parking lot. Possessive
"What? She's still my cousin" Taehyung laughingly said while walking beside us.
"And? She's my girlfriend so fuck off" Lisa said and moved me away from Taehyung
Girlfriend?
"What? Are you trying to ruin our friendship because of our cousin?"
"I told you she's not my cousin" Lisa said before she kissed my forehead.
"Take care baby, don't let Taehyung wrap his arm around your shoulder" she whispered on me. I laughed and softly smack her arm "You're so possessive Lisa, he's my cousin. You take care also" I said before I entered Taehyung's car.
Taehyung also went inside cussing about how possessive Lisa is with me.
"What the fuck baby? She's calling you baby? What are you? A fucking child?" he teased on me. I smack him on the arm
"Aish just drive Tae!" he just laughed his ass off
Taehyung then drive me home, I closed the door of his car and wait for him to leave before I entered our house. I walk towards our living room trying to hide the big smile on my face and the necklace I'm wearing as I saw mom and dad sitting on the couch watching some American movie together.
"Oh welcome home princess" Dad stands up to kiss me on the cheek
"How's your school?" mom asked me
"It's fine mom" I answered before I hurriedly walk upstairs to removed their suspicious eyes on me.
I felt so damn nervous as I closed my door and leaned on it. I hurriedly grab my phone out of my bag to see if there is message coming from Lisa but there is none.
I put my bag on my bed table and proceeded to my bathroom to take a quick shower. The quick shower took me one hour to finish because my thoughts were drifting about what happened today, Lisa and I are back together and I couldn't help myself to silently scream inside my bathroom. I'm just thankful that she got jealous or else I'd be in my bed right now crying myself out figuring how to reach her.
I put on my pajama's and removed my necklace as I head outside when my mom knocked on my door to have dinner. I am nervous by the way they look at me as I sit in front of my mom and dad. Namjoon on my side silently stared at me while I ate my dinner.
Dad sips his cup of pineapple juice before he talks "So how's your school Jen? Are your friends still asking you about Lisa?" he ask me with his tone he usually uses at work
Since the accident my mom and dad were like this, endlessly interrogating me with questions like that. I'm pissed at first but right now I can't help but to get nervous for I feel that they will know about Lisa and me again by just staring at my eyes.
"Yes but I don't know about Lisa anymore dad. I barely even see her in school and sometimes I saw her with other girls" I lied as I drink my juice. Mom stared at me with her cat eyes and I tried my best to act like her.
"Oh is that so? Glad that she's not bothering you right now"
Yes dad, I want you to believe that. I'm so sorry for lying like this to you but as your daughter with a personality like a brave Kim, I will do everything right now for Lisa and I to be right. I would never be a coward to leave her again for your sake. I know defying you is so wrong but it's also wrong for your part to meddle with my happiness that you believe is wrong but we know is damn right. Lisa and I are not cousins and you know that from the very beginning.
"Yes dad, she said she's dating some hot chick when one time we saw her on a bar with her Thai brother and her cousin" Namjoon added
I looked at him confused and he just kick my feet underneath the table, signalling me to not look suspicious in front of our parents. As much as I want to smile as wide, I can't right now
"Really? That's good then, she really is over Jennie now huh?" My dad said while smiling
I smiled at him to show him I am not affected anymore but the truth is, I'm smiling because he really believed that. I suddenly want to call Lisa to congratulate her that she's right when she says everything is under her control now. I am amazed how she handles our situation like this.
"Who's the name of the girl she's dating?" he asked Namjoon
I tried to look at him and he tried to remain calm but he is shaking his feet. It's my time to kick him under the table for him to shut up because I know the moment when he say a name, my dad would immediately investigate it.
"I actually don't know dad, she is really drunk while making out with her girl on the bar so we didn't bother to ask" he answered. He kicked my feet again, signalling me to relax
"Oh is that so? Too bad then" dad said and continued eating his meal
"So Lisa is dating right now, how about you Jennie? Are you perhaps dating someone?" Mom asked me
"Me mom? No I'm fine, I have Irene and Seulgi by my side and I'm more focused on my studies right now" I confidently answered her
The dinner ended with my mom and dad stop asking questions about me and starts chatting about their business. Namjoon said to me as we walk upstairs that he has something to give me so I hurriedly went to his room
I seated on his bed as he now picking some rectangular box on his study table. He walks towards me and handed me the box. "Here, open it" he said and seated next to me
I opened the box and it revealed newest brand of apple phone.
"Why are you giving me this? I have a phone oppa" I asked as I opened the phone
"Lisa told me to hand it to you, communicate with her by using that. Do not let mom or dad or even our cousin's parents see you using that phone, Lisa have her number on it already and she has another one like yours too. She said you two will use it only, I repeat ONLY for communicating to each other Jennie. Understand me?" my brother said to me which made my heart flutter so much.
I did not say a word and just hugged him tight on his side, I felt my tears getting into my eyes because of so much happiness I am feeling right now. He's supporting us, he's in favour of Lisa and me! My brother sided with me and I am so damn happy.
"Shh don't cry, you'll get my clothes wet" he joked. I let go of my hug and wipe the tears using the back of my hand. The phone opened and it revealed a wallpaper of me and Lisa on the beach on Thailand
"You two look good together" he said as he laid his eyes on the phone.
"Oppa, why are you supporting us?" I asked him. He just smiled and pats my head like a big brother would do to his little sister.
"It's because Lisa is my sister's happiness and I would do everything I can to let her experience that happiness she longed for"
