You were silently lounging around on your tree, you decided the tree was comfy and now it was yours, even going as far as to name it ' Spiky ' because of how many times you accidentally stabbed yourself with one of the trees branches.
Currently right now, you could say you were stumped- You were trying to figure out what to do, all of your animal friends were busy. Even Gaston! How the hell is that freaking sassy butterfly busy.... Well... It might've been because you were playing tag and almost ripped his wing off when you were nipping at him and he just didn't want to hang out with you.. Good times..
You looked around for a bit before a few footsteps filled your sensitive ears, your tail tip twitched, thinking maybe it was your animal friends and they wanted to play.. You quickly jumped up higher on the branches, deciding that you could pounce down and scare them, just for being busy.. Even if it wasn't their fault..... But still, you were in a playful mood.
The footsteps got increasingly louder, you were just about to charge of the branch and to the ground until you saw that it wasn't your animal friends. Your body jerked forward causing you to fall onto that branch, the autumn leaves shaking at the sudden movement. You froze and quickly tried to blend in.
" WHAT WAS THAT? " The blue thing questioned curiously, staring up into the giant tree named Spiky. It's terribly loud voice making a whimper release from your throat causing you to mentally scold yourself.
Oh look! It's a weird lookin' human in a tree, lets kill it because we're curious!
Thinking about it now, that has happened before. A group of teenagers were walking through the forest to go hunt for something, when one of them pointed at you after you'd sneezed because a blade of grass somehow got stuck in your nose. And you almost died... Until you flew off.. Mostly back to Spiky your #1 tree.
" OH I HEARD IT! IT SOUNDS HURT! ARE YOU OKAY MYSTERIOUS TREE FRIEND? " The white-orange one yelled. These two were skeletons... You heard monsters got to the surface but were plenty fine staying in the forest, which felt way more at home then the city.. The skeletons seemed friendly enough, and you being curious because you hadn't seen a monster up close in a long time. Preferring to watch from a distance, decided to hop down there in front of them.
You flared your nostrils slightly taking in their scent, the orange one smelt of cinnamon and spaghetti while the blue one smelt like vanilla and tacos. Interesting combination. You got off of your hands and feet and stood, rolling on the balls of your feet.
" Who're you? " You questioned quietly, taking in their appearance.
" I AM THE GRRREEEAATTT PAPYRUS " Papyrus said rolling the 'r'.
" AND I AM THE MAGNIFICENT SANS! BUT DO TO SOME COMPLICATIONS YOU MAY CALL ME BLUE! " The smaller blue one yelled- wait.. Complications? Now you were beyond intrigued.
" Complications? " You tilted your head slightly staring at Blue.
" U-UHM, YES COMPLICATIONS. " You stared at him a little more, getting disappointed you didn't get the answer you wanted.
" TINY HUMAN, WHAT ARE YOU DOING OUT HERE ANYWAY? " Papyrus asked, staring at your tail. The only dragon like appearance that was showing currently. Being your horns were tucked into your beanie/hair. And your wings were folded neatly around your body. Which is why you wore a big hoodie, so people wouldn't ask why there were random spots protruding from your body.
" This is my home! " You smiled, proud to call this beautiful place your 'home'. You tail wagged a little at that thought. Papyrus seemed in awe but didn't comment. But someone did.
" MISS.. THIS MAY SEEM RUDE BUT WHY DO YOU HAVE A TAIL? " Your eyes widened in realization, you had been ignoring the fact you had your tail out, it being to long to fit in your pants and it hurt to keep it confined for to long.
" U-uh, you see... I'm half monster.. " You knew it shouldn't be a big deal, being their monsters living amongst humans. So it shouldn't be to surprising.
" WOWIE! I DIDN'T KNOW THOSE EXISTED! " Papyrus smiled, eyes sparkling slightly, making you stare in awe.
" THAT'S SO COOL! WHAT'S YOUR SPECIES? " Blue gasped, eyes turning into huge stars making you melt at how adorable it was.
" D-dragon. " You spoke softly staring albeit adorably at their sparkling eye sockets.
" EVEN COOLER! " They spoke at the same time, seeming to be shaking with excitement. You tore your gaze away before staring at the grass bashfully, you never got complimented a lot. Being away from society was really taking a turn on you. Even though the motherly animals more specifically the doe's, would always call you adorable for your antics. Which always made you blush more furiously.
" WOWIE! SINCE YOUR VERY COOL LIKE US. DO YOU THINK WE COULD BE FRIENDS? " Papyrus grinned, holding both of his gloved hands against his cheekbones, staring hopefully at you. Out of the corner of your eye you could see Blue nodding profusely, clearly wanting to be your friend as well.
" Sure! " You grinned back excited to get more friends. This seemed to make them nearly explode because they both pulled you into a bone crushing hug.
'I need to stop with the puns' you thought to yourself, but the universe wasn't on your side and was going to gift you with more pun loving skele's. WAIT THE FORTH WALL NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
" Hey. Why were you guys in the forest anyway? " You asked when the set you down.
" WE WERE GOING TO SET UP PUZZLES! " Blue spoke, his tone told you that it was one of his hobbies.
" Woah, really? " You said, jumping up and down slightly.
" YES! WE DECIDED TO COME TO THE FOREST CLOSE TO OUR HOME AND SET UP OUR GREAT PUZZLES! " Papyrus said posing.
" OH MY GOODNESS! HUMAN WOULD YOU LIKE TO SET UP PUZZLES WITH US?! " Blue yelled. Then for some reason, it randomly came to your realization-
" I HAVEN'T TOLD YOU MY NAME! " They both seemed startled at your outburst.
" I-I.. I mean yes.. And my name is ( Y/N ) " You blushed in embarrassment, they both seemed happy either way.
" WELL COME ON MISS ( Y/N ), THE PUZZLES WONT SET THEMSELVES UP! " Blue smiled, grabbing your and Papyrus's hand. Before pulling you to a clearing in the forest, where Ginger, your deer friend liked to graze. Unfortunately she was busy today to, having to take her newly born babies for a walk to the stream so they could learn how to walk and so they could take a drink. You smiled at the thought, before Papyrus and Blue pulled out actual puzzles, the one Blue pulled out was a picture of a bowl of Blueberries.. How.. Peculiar.

While Papyrus pulled out one with a picture of a puppy in a glass cup, you smiled and sat down beside them, where you had bonding time with them. That was until the had to leave it being around 5pm and them saying something around the lines of.
' OUR BROTHERS WILL WORRY, WE'LL COME BACK TOMORROW THOUGH. DON'T YOU WORRY! ' It reassured you that maybe they would be back? You wouldn't be surprised if they never came back though. You hoped they came back, you didn't feel like bugging your animal friends anyway. Since most of them were busy with their children or mates, something like that.
You sighed and jumped onto Spiky before climbing into the hollow hole you made in the trunk that had a nest of sorts. It was filled with blankets and pillows you had found, one of the thinner blankets covered the hole in the trunk to keep the wind out. You quickly shuffled around in the small but comfy area, you were hungry from not eating since this morning, but could keep it in till' the morning. You usually went to the market with some of the money you had somehow gained from some people who dropped money in birds nests. They thought it was good luck or something, ( I made that up, just needed a reason for you to be a bit more human like then animalistic. ) You stretched slightly letting your wings spread above you before resting them around you like a bat would. And snuggled into the blankets just as you felt sleep take over you.
A LITTLE LESS THE 1469 WORDS BECAUSE OF THE LITTLE STROKE I HAD UP AT THE PUZZLE PART! No joke, that's the longest chapter I've ever written for my books and I'm so happy :). I might update tomorrow? But I have a meeting in my scout group that's an hour drive from my place. So I have to leave early. If not maybe on Wednesday? The weekend most likely because I'm not freaking tired from homework or just school in general. But, I have a day off on Friday and there might be a snowday. YEET.
It's literally like, -22 in Canada. And it's supposed to get colder tomorrow :,)
