'Mom', I said. 'When are you coming to Indigo Plateau ? When I win ?'.
'Red, calm down. Sorry, dear. I will be there by Monday', said Mom.
'Monday ? That would be my last battle', I said. 'The Champion one'.
'I'm so sorry', said Mom.
'Can't you come here flying ?', I asked.
'But how ?', asked Mom.
'I could send Charizard to Professor Oak. He'll bring you right away', I said.
'What if you need Charizard in the League ?', asked Mom.
'Don't worry, I'll handle it without him. He'll bring you today only', I said.
'Alright, I'll pack my bag for....three days ?', said Mom.
'Yes', I said. 'I am winning the League'.
'Okay, so I'll be off to Oak's lab soon', said Mom.
'Okay, bye Mom', I said.
I shut off the PC and called Professor Oak.
'What now ?', asked Oak, angry.
Oak's appearance was more shabby than yesterday. His eyes had black circles, his lab coat looked damaged.
'What's up with you ?', I asked.
'Your Jolteon didn't even let me sleep', said Oak.
'Okay, good news for you. I want Jolteon', I said.
'And you're sending what ?', asked Oak.
'Charizard', I said.
'Charizard ? Are you out of your mind ?', asked Professor Oak. 'He is your strongest Pokémon'.
'Mom will come in a few minutes and take him from you and come flying here', I said.
'Oh, but you'll still not be able to use Charizard in today's match', said Professor Oak.
'Alright to me', I said.
I kept Charizard's Pokeball on the machine. Professor Oak did the same thing with Jolteon. The balls glowed blue and interchanged.
'Finally, I'm happy Jolteon is gone', said Oak.
'Alright Professor', I said, switching off the PC.
I got all my Pokemons healed before the match. When my name was announced, I rushed to the Stadium.
'In every Pokemon League, I have defeated at least one trainer. And I feel that's you, kid', said Agatha.
She was an old woman, with the height of....uh....four feet (I was gonna write guitar instead) and had a scary look in her eyes. And by scary I mean that her look scared me and not that she looked scared.
'I am winning this', I said. 'There is no way I'm gonna lose to you'.
'I hear Oak's taken a lot of interest in you, child. That old duff was once tough and handsome. But that was decades ago. He's a shadow of his former self', said Agatha.
'What do you mean, shadow of his former self ?', I asked.
'I mean, when you grow older, don't you dare go soft like that coot Oak. Be like me and keep battling on', said Agatha.
'Good advice', I said. 'But I don't think he is soft, oh wait, he is'.
'Let the match begin', said the Announcer.
'Go Gengar', said Agatha.
'Go Jolteon', I said.
'Gengar, use Destiny Bond', said Agatha. The attack did nothing.
'Jolteon, use Thunderbolt', I said.
'Gengar, use Confuse Ray', said Agatha.
'Jolteon, use Quick Attack', I said. But Quick Attack' didn't affect Gengar.
'Fool, physical attacks never affect Ghost types', said Agatha. 'Gengar, use Psychic'.
Jolteon had low health.
'You may be very powerful, but couldn't defeat me', I said. 'Jolteon, use Thunderbolt'.
'You like Thunderbolt ? Okay, Gengar use Thunderbolt', said Agatha.
But good for Jolteon, he could absorb electricity to make his health increase.
'What ?', said Agatha.
'Jolteon, use Thunder', I said. Gengar fainted.
'Come back, Gengar. Go Golbat', said Agatha.
Leaf, along with my Mom came and sat with the audience. I got nervous seeing my Mom there.
'Jolteon, use Double Team', I said.
'Golbat, Wing Attack on all of them', said Agatha. Jolteon fell down.
'Jolteon, Thunderbolt', I said. Golbat was critically hit.
'Golbat, use Bite', said Agatha. Jolteon fainted.
'Come back, Jolteon. Uh... go Charizard', I said. Wartortle came out of the Pokeball. I almost forgot that I didn't have Charizard.
'Golbat, use Confuse Ray', said Agatha. Wartortle was confused.
'Wartortle, use Water Gun', I said. Wartortle hit himself in his confusion.
'Golbat, use Wing Attack', said Agatha. Wartortle fainted.
'Come back, go Bulbasaur', I said.
'Golbat, use Bite', said Agatha.
'Bulbasaur, use Sleep Powder', I said. Golbat was asleep and fell down.
'Bulbasaur, use Solarbeam', I said. Bulbasaur absorbed solar energy.
'Golbat, wake up. I'm older than you, I should be sleeping not you', said Agatha.
'Bulbasaur, release Solarbeam', I said. Golbat fainted. 'Well done buddy'.
Bulbasaur ran and hugged me or I should say that I hugged him.
'Come back, Golbat. Go Haunter', said Agatha.
'Bulbasaur, same thing again. Use Sleep Powder', I said. Haunter was asleep.
'Haunter, wake up', said Agatha.
'Bulbasaur, use Solarbeam', I said. Bulbasaur absorbed solar energy.
Haunter woke up.
'Haunter, use Psychic', said Agatha.
'Bulbasaur, release Solarbeam', I said. Haunter was critically hit.
'Haunter, use Confusion', said Agatha. Bulbasaur fainted.
'Come back, Bulbasaur. You did wonderful', I said. 'Go Snorlax'.
'Haunter, use Confuse Ray', said Agatha.
Snorlax yawned and slept. Audience laughed. This wasn't expected, at least not in an Elite Four battle.
'Your Pokemon is no more hungry', said Agatha. 'That's why Snorlax's sleep'.
'Oh, god. Professor Oak must've given him more food', I said.
'I know. That dummy loves Pokemons like they are his relatives', said Agatha. 'Years back, he used to give medicine to an Oddish who was constipated'.
I laughed and turned back to Serious Mode.
'Haunter, use Dream Eater', said Agatha.
'Snorlax, please wake up', I said.
'Haunter, use Confusion', said Agatha.
'Snorlax, please I beg you to wake up', I said.
'Haunter, use Psychic', said Agatha. Snorlax fainted.
'Come back, Snorlax. Go Kabutops', I said.
'Haunter, use Confuse Ray', said Agatha. Kabutops was confused. He hit himself in his confusion.
'Kabutops, use Aquajet', I said. Kabutops was confused, he hit himself in his confusion.
'Haunter, use Psychic', said Agatha. Kabutops fainted.
'Come back, Kabutops', I said.
'It's impossible for you to win. I still have three Pokemons and you have one', said Agatha.
'Red, take this', shouted Leaf from the Audience.
Leaf threw Charizard's Pokeball. I catched it.
'Okay, go Charizard', I said.
'Haunter, use Psychic', said Agatha.
'Charizard, use Flamethrower', I said. Haunter fainted.
'Come back. Go Arbok', said Agatha.
'Charizard, Fly', I said.
'Arbok, Poison Sting', said Agatha. Arbok threw poison stings from it's mouth.
'Charizard, dive and hit', I said. Arbok was critically hit.
'Arbok, use Bite', said Agatha.
'Charizard, Ember', I said. Arbok fainted.
'Come back, go Gengar', said Agatha.
'Charizard, Flamethrower', I said. Gengar was critically hit.
'Gengar, use Confuse Ray', said Agatha. Charizard was confused.
'Charizard, use Dragon Rage', I said. Charizard hot himself in his confusion.
'Gengar, use Shadow Punch', said Agatha.
Charizard fell on the ground and was critically hit.
'Charizard, you can do it', I said. 'Please get up. You can do it'.
'Charizard ! Charizard !', cheered the Audience. Charizard stood up in anger.
'Charizard, use Dragon Rage', I said. Gengar fainted.
'Can't be. Your Pokemon defeated three of my Pokemons. No wonder Oak chose you to become a Trainer', said Agatha.
'Well done Charizard', I said, hugging my friend. 'Yes, you said something'.
Agatha cringed.
'Just like Oak, you've got some nerve', said Agatha. 'Say hi to Oak for me'.
'I will', I said.
'Trainer Red wins', said the Announcer. The Crowd applaud on my victory.
'Red ! Red !', shouted the Crowd.
I went outside, Leaf and Mom waited for me. 'Thanks Leaf for giving me Charizard'.
'It's okay, I wanted you to lose because I didn't want to battle you in Champion Battle', said Leaf. 'But had mercy on you when you were losing'.
'Red, you did very good, son', said Mom.
I hugged my Mom.
