Ness got two down there was one he really didn't want to ask yet

He ran down stairs where the first plates of dinner were being served
The 'teens' as ness would refer to them as were still in the lounge as pits' screams could be heard in the distance
In the dinning room marth was trying to hold a regular conversation with Link. Needless to say he didn't look happy. Samus and sheik talked. Mewtwo and lucario ate with meta knight. They seemed to have a bit of a connection somehow
Kirby and pichu was chasing luma around the kitchen driving dasiy nuts.
Ness just sat down and sure enough Lucas took and nana found him and sat with him
"Hey Lucas, toony. On a scale of one to ten how close are you
Toon punched him for the nickname "easy!"
"12!" "7 maybe?"
Toon turned to Lucas looking extremely offended "I'm a 7!?"
"I said maybe"
Ness broke out laughing at the two
They were extremely close. They came to smash together after all.
That was a day... a strange one however It started normal
Ness was informed that there were some new kinds da coming to smash and it was his job to show them around before taking them to their 'group' meaning the people from the same world as them
But there was a surprise when they came into the mansion "help he's hurt!"
"Come on kid I'm fine." The boy had a rather bad twisted ankle needing Lucas help to walk. Peach and Mario came running
"On dear how did this happen?" Peach asked running over with mario picking toon up who squirmed not wanting to be treated like a baby
"I was... fighting a pack of monsters!" The lie worked on everyone
"How do you sprain your ankle in a pack of monsters but not get a single cut only grazed hands" Link the hero of twilight stares at the boy with a playful smirk
"Hey yea! You were in the street too!" Lucas pointed out
Toon looked down making the adults in the room chuckle
"Link be a dear and go get some ice?" Peach carried the pouting hero to the couch. Lucas couldn't help but follow sitting next to him Peach slipped off the boys boot
"You just had to eat me out didn't you" toon had his arms folded as Lucas looked down feeling guilty.
"You were busted anyways. This link has only been here for a few days and he's already stopped me from breaking a fair few windows and vases" ness grinned sitting by them sipping from a juice box
"And who are you?" Toon raised a suspicious eye not sure to trust him.
"I'm Ness. Judging by your outfit you look like young links replacement."
"Who?" Lucas asked
Ness let out a long sigh handing him his half full juice box.
"Iink goes through many reincarnation. So like being reborn. First there was the hero of time. He was like the hero of twilight over there" ness pointed to link talking to captain Falcon. "But a whole lot more serious. He, would have lectured you."
Lucas couldn't help but chuckle as toon seemed rather interested in this
"But anyways then came along a younger version of him. He was called the hero of time cause he time traveled so he had a adult and child version of himself. I never talked to the kid he would just sorta stare at me if I tried pulling up a conversation."
"So he left and I came?" Toon asked
"Yeah so you must be his replacemn-OW" ness was smacked on the head by Peach "he's not a replacement he's a different person" Peach huffed
"Either way I like you better.... What should we call you?" Ness asked thinking
"Nesssssssss!!"nana whined running into the room and tugging his arm "Popo put worms up his nose againnnn. tell him to stop!!" Nana begged toon laughed as his foot got bandaged up
Popo came running in Making nana squeal covering her eyes
"Relax they're gone" Popo chuckled
"Who's stripes and kitten?" Popo asked looking at the two new blonds
"S-stripes?"
"KITTEN!?" Peach giggled finding this all adorable. putting ice on his ankle she got up and let them be.
She liked that nickname... kitten
"He looked more of a toonie to me" nana looked Toon who seemed ready to pick a fight
"I like that. How about toon?" Lucas gave a sheepish smile
"You all suck at nicknames." Toon huffed looking away as Popo grinned
"Kitten it is"
"NO NO WAIT TOON IS FINE LETS GO WITH THAT!" The all couldn't help but laugh at the boys embarrassed
"Anyways... what's your name?" Ness turned to his fellow stripped shirt
"Oh m-my name is Lucas" he smiled holding out a hand to shake.
Ness took it shaking "the two in mountain gear are the ice climber twins Popo and nana"
The twins waved smiling hooking arms "inseparable!" They grinned
"Anyways Toon you want anything to eat?"
Toon smiled "Yeah I'm so hungry I could eat a whale!"
"Isn't there saying a horse?" Nana giggled
"What's a horse?" Toon blinked confused
The room went quiet people staring at him and he couldn't leave. He felt rather trapped
"Isn't the hero meant to ride a horse and defeat ganon."
In the background Link was giving ganon and sly look
"No? I sail a boat called the king of read lions?" Toon said it like it was common knowledge
"Gonna take care of him or what?" Fox looked at Link who was watching this.
"I'll only step in when needed" he said sipping at a glass of goats milk. "Kids gotta learn how to do things himself. I'm sure he's capable."
Fox laughed "you sound a lot like the hero time ya know" Fox elbowed him
"Let's Just say a wise man taught me a few things" Link gave a sly glance back
"So you live on the ocean?" Lucas smiled
"Yeah on a small island on the south west of the great sea called outset."
"Are there any mountains in the great sea?" Popo asked out of pain curiosity as nana put her hands in her hip rolling her eyes.
Toon laughed "actually there's a volcano instead where the great Valoo rests under rite care."
"Rito?" Ness had never heard about them before.
Took pulled out photos from his bag flipping though them till he shows a photo of a boy and girl holding hands. The both had beaks, red eyes and funny legs.
"They can turn their arms into wings and fly" The other kids awed at the photo the boy was dark red blushing and the girl was giggling in the photo
Ness smiled
There were plenty of stories to unfold with him.
It was weird to think that if it wasn't thanks to Lucas toon would still be lost in the streets.
Ness smiled watching them all do impressions of people
"I'm the princess of hyrule bow to me." Popo did the softest voice he could
"What no way She's more-" toon put his hands in his hips "that's not my problem kid"
They couldn't help but laugh knowing he was impersonating tetra.
Ness wrote down '12 from both of them.'
