Matt woke from his sleep as the heart monitor made a haunting beep, one that wasn't going to end. Bella's lips were blue, her skin was pale, much more pale than usual, Matt was stuck in his sitting position, he couldn't respond, all he could do was pray, in his mind, he was praying.
Please lord, don't let her die, she's my life, she's my life.
The lord did not seem to answer his prayers as the monitor continued to scream at him, he still had hold of her flimsy hand, it was lifeless and cold, he missed the warmth and soft touch. He missed how Bella would tremble a little with each touch he gave her, he missed everything about her.
The doctor's ran in but all he could do was stay stuck in that position until he was pushed out of the way, his vision was blurred, everything sounded miles away, he crouched on the floor and began to cry, he couldn't lose Bella.
Matt was in love with Bella.

Matt sat in the waiting room with his head in his hands, Bella was in a stable condition but the doctor's didn't think it would last long.
He didn't have the energy to move, his eyes were uncomfortable dry as he had cried until all the moisture was gone, he was nothing but a shell, he had given up hope, given up on life.
“You've got to go sit with her, this may be your last chance.” Daman tried to persuade him. Matt shrug his shoulders, he didn't have the energy to mutter a reply, he just wanted to collapse.
In the end he dragged himself to Bella's bed side, he crashed on the armchair next to her bed side.
He woke abruptly when he heard a dry, raspy voice say his name, as he looked up he looked up he was met by dull lifeless eyes that used to sparkle, he smiled “I love you” was the first thing he blurted out.
Bella smiled slightly and reached out her hand, he took it, tears in eyes.
“I was so scared,” he whispered, a tear escaping from his eye, Bella's eyes started to water.
“I don't want you to blame yourself for this, ever, I want you to be happy, please promise me.”
“As long as I've got you I will be, Bella.” he pressed his lips to her hand,
Bella frowned and shook her head slightly, “I'm sorry, remember that you're the love of my life, don't ever forget me, Buzz.” she whispered, slowly closing her eyes.
“No!” Matt cried,
“No, please.” he whispered, defeat in his voice,
It was too late, Bella had passed.
