Stokeley pov:
We were about to get out of the car to head inside Olive Garden but I wanted to make sure Jah wasn't too tired.
" hey Jah you know we don't have to go in." I inform him. He nods his head showing that he understands.
" so do you still want to go?" I ask to make sure. He nods his head with a slight yawn.
I chuckle before sighing at his response. I'll just have to see how far he can make it.
We walked in immediately finding everyone else already seated.
" hey guys." I say before sliding onto the booth. I of course made sure to leave room for Jah. Once we were all seated the waiter handed us our menus.
" so what did you guys think of the movie." I ask trying to start conversation.
" it was good but that ending though." Nick responds.
" yeah like that was the lamest ending." Gazzy says agreeing.
" what'd you think of it Jah?" Omar says trying to include him.
" it was good." I hear him shyly mumble.
" Jah stop lying you didn't even make it trough the first quarter." Nick says teasing him which caused Jah to blush.
Luckily the waiter came to save Jah from any further embarrassment.
" do you know what you would like to drink?" The waiter asks starting with Jah. He looked at the menu looking at the drinks listed.
He pointed to one of the drinks which caused the waiter to chuckle.
" I'm going to have to see an ID if you want that." The waiter informed Jah causing me to become suspicious to what Jah was trying to order. I peer over to see that he was in fact trying to order a strawberry margarita. I couldn't help but chuckle at Jah's innocence.
" Jah your not old enough for that yet how about you get a soda?" I suggest to him. He looks up at me with questioning eyes like he didn't know what I meant. He still seemed confused on why he couldn't get the drink.
" do you like sprite?" I ask him. Yet he only continues to look confused.
" it's like a bubbly lemon drink." I inform him. Luckily Jah seems to just go with that so the waiter could move on.
Once the waiter was done taking our orders we all burst out laughing.
" Jah you think your real sly trying get away with ordering alcohol." Nick says teasingly causing Jah to blush.
" yeah I better not see you trying to do that again." I jokingly warn him.
" do you have something picked out yet?" I ask Jah so we don't have to go through that again.
He nods his head while pointing to a $29 steak.
Of course he wants the most expensive thing on the menu.
" whoa ok you sure that's what you want?" I ask hoping he'll change his mind.
" what did he pick out?" Gazzy asks curiously.
" page 3 choice 2." I inform him not wanting to embarrass Jah. I doubt he even checked the price let alone knew it was the most expensive thing on the whole menu.
Once Gazzy sees what it is his eyes widen at the price causing us all to chuckle.
" you really know how to pick em Jah." Gazzy says sarcastically.
" well if that's what he wants he shall have it." I inform him in a jokingly manner.
The waiter soon arrives to take all of our orders and before we new it he was serving us our food.
Jah's plate was about as big as two meals combined but I wasn't going to tell him he couldn't have it. I would probably have to help him eat it though cause I know he won't finish.
I watched Jah try to cut the steak but he didn't seem to be making any progress. His tongue was stuck out as he was concentrating which caused me to chuckle.
" you need help with that?" I ask him while trying to contain myself from laughing.
Jah huffs before handing me the silverware to cut the steak. I cut it into small bite size pieces before handing him back the silverware.
" Jah you sure you can eat that?" Omar asks.
Jah looks hesitant before nodding his head yes.
We all eat in silence until I hear Jah put down his fork. I look over to see how much he's eaten and it was only a quarter of the first steak. He held his stomach while laying back onto the booth.
" you done already Jah?" I ask him curiously.
He nods his head yes before drinking some more sprite.
" I knew you weren't going to finish." Omar says jokingly causing Jah to blush.
We continued to eat with some small talk here and there. I got a to go box for Jah. He's been kinda quiet but then again when is he ever not quiet. I soon feel his head hit my shoulder and I notice he's asleep.
" aww how cute." Gazzy cooes.
I let Jah continue to rest against my shoulder until we decided to order desert. I figured he'd probably like a say in what we pick out.
" Jahh." I coo lightly. He then begins to slowly wake up.
" we're picking out a desert and thought you might want to help." I inform him.
" ice cream." I hear him say excitedly.
" what kinda ice cream you want?" I ask him.
" chocolate." He responds in a childish voice. I think he might be slipping. It must be because he's tired.
" ok then you and me can split some chocolate ice cream." I inform him.
" no all mine." Jah argues back in the same childish voice causing everyone to laugh.
I never heard him talk so boldly before. He's never really argued about anything.
" you sure you can eat that much ice cream?" I question him. Jah nods his head vigorously.
" ok if you say so." I respond.
Everyone seems to just go along with Jah's change in behavior. We soon received our deserts and Jah didn't waste any time on getting started.
Maybe I was wrong and he is going to end up eating the whole thing.
" so you can eat ice cream but you can't finish your dinner?" I ask him.
" ice cream better." Is all he responds with. I chuckle at the chocolate that somehow got on his lower lip. I figured I should probably wait till he's finished before wiping it off because it would probably not do any good if I did it now.
Once he was done I decided to ask him " Jah you want to come with me to the bathroom real quick?"
He nods his head and I hold my hand out for him to take. We walk to the bathroom and Jah is a giggling mess. I don't know what's got into him. Maybe too much ice cream.
Once we reach the bathroom I wet some paper towels and begin to wipe his upper lip. Every time I would try and wipe it off though he would move away from my touch and start giggling.
" Jah I need to get off the chocolate." I inform him. I couldn't help but chuckle at his childish behavior. It was adorable but it will also be the end of me if I can't even get this damn chocolate off his face.
