Things to know: Depends on how you look at it but I guess Spideynova.
The last thing he remembered was falling. Falling and then pain. Someone yelling a name, he couldn't quite place his finger on the name though. Something...green...kept popping up in his memory. What was this green item? Was it even an item? Perhaps it was the scenery? But the green was too dark to be grass or trees.
He groaned as he felt himself beginning to wake. A distant beeping being the first thing he hears. Suddenly the beeping grew louder until it was right next to him. He covered his ears, it was so loud! Something was placed over his ears and relief hit him. He cracked his heavy eyelids open and nearly screamed when he saw a boy who looked like a bucket, a girl who was dressed as a white tiger, some really buff dude, a man in a yellow mask, and a man with an eyepatch. He felt his ears and found earmuffs. He hesitantly took them off. "You've sure had a long rest, Spiderman." The eye patch man said.
Spiderman? Who was that? What kind of retard names their child Spiderman?
"You gave us a real scare there, Spidey!" The buff man smiled. Were they talking about him? Spiderman wasn't his name!
"My name's not Spiderman! My name is...my name...is..." He trailed off as he realized he didn't remember his own name.
"Glad you remembered your secret identity last second, wouldn't want you revealing yourself." Eye patch man deadpanned. He opened the door a little to reveal a bunch of reporters who were listening in. "I know you just woke up, but Goblin is still out there. So you better screw your head on tight and start tracking him down."
Goblin? What is with these names? All he knows is that he is Spiderman.
"Got a plan, Webs?" The bucket boy asked. Webs? He thought he was Spidey!
"Me?" Spiderman asked.
"You are the team leader after all." Tiger girl spoke up.
"A leader? Me? I don't even know who you guys are!" Spiderman exclaimed. "Hell, I'm not even sure who I am!"
Everyone around him froze. "What do you mean?" Eye patch man asked roughly.
"What's going on? And what the fuck am I wearing?!" Spiderman asked, as he looked down and saw that he was wearing a skin tight red and blue suit.
"You're joking, right? It's me! Bucket head?" The bucket guy tried. Spiderman tilted his head.
"You're name is bucket head?" Spiderman asked.
"No, but that's what you call him. Don't you remember?" The buff dude asked. Spidey shook his head slowly.
"Should I?" Spidey asked. Bucket head looked at the ground, clenching his fist. He quickly looked back up and smiled. He held out his had for Spidey to shake.
"Well, my name's Nova!" Spidey shook his hand. "I would tell you my real name but the people listening outside the door are kinda preventing that."
"Nice to meet you!" Spidey exclaimed.
"Yeah..." Nova replied sadly. Spidey furrowed his eyebrows but the tiger girl quickly gained his attention.
"I'm White Tiger." She crossed her arms and looked away. "This isn't a joke, right?"
"Why would I joke about something like this?" Spidey asked. Tiger frowned under her mask and shook her head.
"My name is Iron Fist, friend." The bandana guy smiled warmly at Spidey. Spidey nodded in acknowledgement and turned to the buff guy.
"My name is L-Power Man!" He gave Spidey a thumbs up as he turned to the eye patch man.
"Now that you've gotten your introductions out of the way, we have a serious problem. Spiderman doesn't have any memories so that means no fighting experience. He doesn't even remember his real name."
"Wait, Spidey isn't my real name?" He asked.
"It's your superhero name." Fury deadpanned.
"Superhero...?" Spidey asked.
"Yes, superhero."
Nova (< 666th word.) was angry. Not at Spidey, but at himself. If he had gotten to him sooner...maybe...
"If you don't mind me asking..." Spidey asked. Everyone looked at him. "What's my real name?"
Everyone looked at each other. Nova, who was the closest walked over and whispered "Peter." in his ear.
"PETER!" Nova screamed as Spidey fell.
Peter yelped and grabbed his head. Everyone jumped. "Are you okay?"
"What's happening?"
"I'm fine! I just remembered something..." Sp-Peter mumbled. Everyone grew excited, well...everyone except for Fury.
"What did you remember?" Iron Fist asked calmly.
"Um, I think it was Nova? He was...yelling my name and I was falling..." Spidey recounted.
"You must be remembering what happened to you. Luckily, the reporters filming the whole thing didn't catch Nova's slip up." Fury glared at him. Nova yelped and hid behind Tiger.
"Losing your memories sucks." Peter groaned. Fury rolled his eyes.
"You're lucky you didn't completely lose your memories. As in forgetting how to talk and walk." Fury glared at him. Peter gulped and looked away. Fury sighed. "We'll have to wait until Spidey regains his memories to continue the pursuit on Goblin. In the mean time, you should do something to spur something. Show him something that means a lot to him."
"Sure thing matey!" Nova replied in a pirate accent. Fury glared at him and walked out of the room, through the sea of reporters who were asking who he was.
As the door closed the whole team stared at Peter. Peter froze up.
Then, Nova pulled a camera out of his ass. He showed it to Peter. "Does this mean anything to you?"
"Uh, no not really."
"What about this?" Tiger asked as she held up a picture of an old man.
"No?"
"What about this?"
