I remember the dark days.
Every day I woke up, wishing I never did. I walked through the day like it was some bad dream, thinking about the only solution to get out of here. Thinking about the relief death would bring.
I remember the few good days after.
The scars slowly fading, the trust returning and our friendship above all. I thought it was all going to be okay.
But when you told me, I went down again. There was not a moment when I didn't worry about you, and all your doubt and black thoughts hurt me. I wanted to help you, I wanted you to be able to see you through my eyes. I just wanted you to be okay again. But everything I tried, every word I said, it had no effect. That hurt.
And now I will try to capture the bright rays of sun for you, I'll try to fight your shadows and make you feel alright again. To let you see the little things in life that are still wonderful, to make you smile again.
