PART-38 :
Khushi [ serving on Arnav's plate][ to Lubaba] : maybe I don't
know what's my husband's favorite foods but surely know which is
good for him.. [ looked at Anjali ] nothing Dii.. he is not well.. have
decreased sugar and came down with fever last night.. so I
didn't give him spicy foods ..
she said it politely to Lubaba but it's a slap on her face which only
both of them knew.. Arnav was all silent and enjoying his wife's
new avatar thoroughly..
Anjali: chote.. are you ok ? why didn't you tell me ?
Arnaya : Bro , now how are you feeling ?
Shyam : Arnav. you should in from us.. Khushi, why you didn't tell
us..
Arnav : Dii, Jija ji relax..I'm perfectly ok.. it's not serious..
Nani : Khushi , he is not well, and you didn't bother to in from us..
I didn't get it why you're so irresponsible ?
Lubaba : I think we should call doctor.. and check his current
condition.. [Arnav was about to reply Nani and before him Khushi
replied..]
Khushi :Nani, I didn't want you to be worry.. and thanks Lubaba
for showing concern.... Dii I've called doctor.. he couldn't have
extra medicine,, it'll affect his sugar level.. please... let's start..
otherwise foods will cold...
Arnav shockingly looked at her.. he didn't knew she has called
even doctor.. Anjali & Shyam have noticed something unusual
between them and they slightly smiled.. Saying this Khushi was
about to go kitchen to bring water.. Arnav stopped her by
forwarding hand..
Arnav : have you lunch at first.. Hp will serve.. sit..
Khushi looked on seat and Lubaba already occupied Arnav's
beside seat.. So Khushi was about to go opposite side..just then
Aranya spoke up..
Aranya : Lubaba , that seat belongs to Bhabhi.. will you mind to
move next one.. [ all surprisingly looked at Aranya.. but Nani,
Lubaba, Khushi and Arnav were shocked.. when Arnav looked at
Aranya , she just winked & Arnav laughed under breath for her
this mischief ]
Lubaba : yea, sure.... [ she moved on next seat and Khushi sat on
beside Arnav ]
they were talking and having foods.. but few people were mused
in their own thought..
Mami : If Arnav couldn't have any med then how he will be well...
I'm not getting anything.. Arnav beta why you're careless of your
health [ she was worried for him ]
Nani : but it's his wife's duty to take care of her..
Lubaba : why Khushi ? don't you take care of your husband ? .. just
kidding don't mind..
Khushi [ smilingly] : Of course not.. don't worry mami.. he will be fine..
Khushi stood up and walked in kitchen.. she came out in next
second bring a half cup of black juice... placed , before Arnav.
Khushi : have it..
Arnav : what's this ? [ looking at her he asked ]
Khushi : basil leaves-juice with honey.. have it.. it won't increase
you sugar..
Arnav : no way.. I won't have this, what a bed smell.. [Arnav
sniffed ]
Khushi : Dii, see,, he is not having it...
Arnav couldn't believe his ear and eyes.. she was complaining
against him to his Dii in front of him ...Anjali looked at her then
Arnav.. obviously rest of pain eyes were on them ..
Anjali : Chote.. chup chap pee lo.. otherwise I've to do something..
Mami : Haan ,, Arnav beta.. have it.. Khushi had made for you ,
you will feel fettle...
Arnav glared at Khushi then drunk it in one go.. choking his
breath.. then stood up and walked out for his work......

At evening........ Khushi walked in Anjali's room to ask something
about Nk's wedding . it's pre-wedding functions will start from day
after tomorrow. Anjali wasn't in her room rather was sitting in
balcony , alone , in dejected face.. looking outside .. Khushi tapped
on her shoulder.. Anjali turned back..
Khushi : Dii, what happened ? why you're sitting here alone ?
Anjali : did chote retune back ? [ Khushi nodded no]..... you're
searching me for what ? [ Khushi sat before her on couch and
took her hands into her]
Khushi : Dii, what's the matter ? you're crying ? what's bothering
you ?
Arnav : It's nothing Khushi.. you tell..
Khushi :Dii.. pls... [ she pleaded ]
Anjali [ gulped her tears looking down and looked up at Khushi]:
I's thinking about chote.. he is always reserved, never ever share
his pain grief , his happiness with anyone ..I can feel he's in pain..
but can't help.. I know in which term you both got married.. that
why I don't expect anything from you or want you to do going
against your content. I think I've done it wrong [ tears rolled down
from Anjali's eyes] ..I shouldn't have insist both of you got
married.. maybe then situation won't like now.. at least you'll be
happy with someone, somewhere else.. and chote won't be in so
much pain.. he is lonely ..........
I wish I could amend my mistake.. I wish I could reduce chote's
pain, his loneliness.. I don't know what will happen when Aru will
leave in her in laws house..I'll go to Shyam ji... I wish I ... [Anjali
couldn't finish her words.. tears choked her breath]
Khushi felt cry out.. when Anjali said she did mistake , she felt tug
into heart,, when Anjali said ,she will be with someone else ,
somewhere else .. she didn't like it.. if there is any change to
amend this mistake will she even change it.. no never.. whatever
Arnav has done but in this approx 1 year she never ever thought to
leave this house or break this relationship even when Arnav left
her here for long 8 months ..and no contract ..no conversation.
Khushi : Dii, don't worry.. he will be ok.. [ Khushi couldn't say
more, she wiped Anjali's tear and to hide her walked away from
there.

Arnav returned home late night.. he wasn't happy what's going
on... he didn't want Aranya get married to Rayan but Ajit's mother
didn't approached for Aranya. His married life was really
entangled as per nani said.. and truly Aranya was going step in an
unhappy married life.. she isn't getting her love, at first Karan
then Ajit.. Arnav stopped at middle of the living are to see Khushi
was keeping head on dining table sleeping ... he walked to her and
tapped on her shoulder.. Khushi instantly opened her eyes and
stood up ..
Arnav : what are you doing here ?
Khushi : you get fresh .. I'm serving your foods.. [saying that she
was about to walk in kitchen but Arnav gripped her hand]
Arnav [ gritting teeth] : answer me first why you're here ? who told
you to wait for me ? let me guess .. It's Nani.. isn't that ?
Khushi [ got off his hand] : no one tell me anything.. and please at
this hour of night, in downstairs don't create scene ..
Arnav : I don't need anyone's sympathy ?Arnav Singh Raizada
doesn't need anyone... you better don't waste your time for me..
Khushi didn't replied , walked in kitchen.. Arnav walked in room..
got fresh then again came down .. Khushi warmed all foods and
served on table. Arnav pulled chair and sat down. Khushi was
about to go back kitchen ..
Arnav : had you eaten you foods ? if not then sat down..
Khushi went back kitchen without reply but came back shortly
bring water jug . kept on table and then she also sat down to have
her supper. Both were having silently.. suddenly Khushi recalled
something then looked at him..
Khushi : did you have lunch with Lubaba ?
Arnav : when ? [ not looking at her]
Khushi : is it necessary specific date ?
Arnav : well, we just had lunch together today.. [ looked at her ]
hadn't we ? and if I'm not wrong It's you who suddenly showed her
wifely authority ...
Khushi : you very well know, I'm not talking about today.. and I've
not shown any wifely authority , just stopped you to have lunch
because of Dii..
Arnav : really ? well, how you know I had lunch with Lubaba ? are
you spying on me ?
Khushi [ gnashing teeth ] : you 're !!!
Arnav : me what ?? [ raised eyebrow ]
Khushi stood up as she was done.. she got angry as Arnav didn't
replied her question. She kept back plates in kitchen sink.
She came back with a cup and kept before Arnav ..
Arnav : Impossible !!! I won't have it now.. why you're having me
this fitly tasty liquid ?
Khushi [ Khushi log inti jaldji shedhe nahi hote hai - few people
won't come on right track so easily.. they need some good silent
treatment that ] : don't worry.. I haven't mixed poison in it.. you
can have it..
Say that Khushi walked to kitchen back taking Arnav's plate.
Arnav gritted teeth then again have it like at lunch time.

Next day.......
Arnav was working sitting at pool side.. he was working from
home.. he wasn't feeling well today also ...Nani came there..
Nani : Arnav..I've decided Aranya's engagement will happen next
Sunday... all ready we're preparing for Nk's wedding so don't have
to do much extra arrangements..
Arnav : I think we've talked about it once.. I'm not ready to get
Married Aranya so soon and with Rayan..
Nani [ getting angry] : why not ? what's the problem with Rayan ?
do you have any better choice ? or you waiting when your relation
will better with your wife then you 'll get married her ? what do
you want?
Arnav [ equally angry ] : Aranya isn't ready to get married Rayan..
that;s it she will marry only whom she wants.. do you get it ?
Nani : yea, just like you have supported her during Karan's time
kidnapping meera.. your one mistake spoiled your own life and
you're hell bent to repeat thing... aha... don't be surprised.. I know
all.
Looked at your life.. If you don't get married to Khushi
then today you'll lead a happy life, stop supporting Aranya's
stubbornness.
Nani left but she bumped with Khushi on her way..
Khushi : Nani ji..I'm sorry.. I was ..
Nani : you was what ? can't you do one work properly....
Khushi : Nani ji.. I wanted to talk about Aranya's wedding [ she
couldn't finish]
Nani : at first.. maintain your marriage with Arnav.. save it then
talk about others..
Khushi was uttered shocked... Nani went to her room.
Khushi : what does she mean by save ?
Arnav was roaring in anger to hear Nani's word.. just then Khushi
came there with his medicine. To see her Arnav recalled Nani's
word.. he wasn't understanding how could she knew a lot ...
Arnav : why you're here ? didn't I tell you, you don't need to take
care of me ...[ he was suspecting maybe Khushi had told her
something]
Khushi [ equally angry as he thought Arnav has told something to
Nani about their relation] : till I'm here, in your house, you have
to tolerate me.. everywhere , everytime.. now have you med fast if
don't want to see me before you for long .......
Arnav : what you'll do ? if I don't hear you.. will me feed more that
filthy liquid .... [Khushi suddenly laughed to hear it.. ]
Khushi : If I knew it will work like that then surely will use
henceforth more..
Arnav's all anger melt in no time to see her smiling.. He took glass
and have med. Then kept glass back on tray. Khushi was about to
go but he blocked her path .
Khushi surprisingly looked at him ............
Khushi : now what ?
Arnav : I had lunch with Lubaba 3days ago.. but it's not planned.
She suddenly met with me at hotel and she wanted some advice
from me, on her insist I've to do....
