Connor had told you to shut and cover your eyes shortly before you both arrived to your first destination of the day. You stepped out the car once you heard your door open, Connor carefully helped you out. You quietly laughed as he urged you to keep them closed tightly and to not take a peek. He lead you inside a building and it was so hard not to take a single peek, but you trusted in the android that it'd be a pleasant surprise if you didn't. He took your hand and guided it before placing it against a surface in front of you. You felt at the cold surface before rolling your fingers over it,
"I-Is that...glass?"
"You can open your eyes now." he instructed and you did, your eyes widened at the sight of the beautiful and florescent sight in front of you. You gasped quietly and your mouth fell agape as you soaked in the sight of the bright fish.
"They're so pretty." you whispered, you watched as the fish swam up to where your hands were placed and you giggled to yourself.
If Connor didn't know how lame it'd sound, he'd say something along the lines of 'not as pretty as you'. Based on the films you've watched he knew the female always found that approach lame and 'cheesy' in a sense. He watched as your smile brightened the scene in front of him. He spoke quietly,
"They are very nice," he finally commented on the fish, "Let's go see what else they have to offer." he spoke before leading you down the aisle, you looked to both sides of you guys; the walls made of glass so that the fish was all you could see. You guys stumbled upon the section of the aquarium where kids could touch the different types of fish, even though you were indeed not a child, who could resist touching a fish?! You quickly approached the short glass tank and smiled as you watched kids giggle at the way the fish felt against their small hands before you stuck your hand in yourself; you quickly pulled out your hand at the foreign sensation. It felt very odd, different than what you'd expect but you returned your hand in curiousity. You quietly laughed and called Connor over from his previous distance he kept to watch you from, he came close and the much younger kids gawked up at him;possibly knowing he was an android. He looked at you; puzzled as to what you wanted. You grabbed his hand and stuck it into the tank,
"Don't they feel funny?!" You asked in disbelief at the feeling
He smiled and nodded at your joy,
"They do have quite an odd sensation to them."
You grazed you hand over a stagnant starfish,
"Have you ever touched a fish before? This is my first time."
"Yes, I have...not like this though."
"What do you mean?"
"I saved a fish once, returned it to its tank. I didn't really get to savor the touch, though."
"I see, that was very sweet of you." You smiled before pulling your hand from the tank and shaking the liquid off your hand back into the tank as best you can, Connor did the same. You both decided you'd move on so you headed to where the bigger fish would be, and you audibly gasped at the huge creature. You'd been to an aquarium before but nothing this fancy or this large a scale. You hurried to the glass, squeezing in between the crowd of people that stood around the spectacle as it swam around. It seemed happy as it looked down upon the people who crowded around it's home. Connor hesitantly joined you after having been waved over by you. He paid most of his attention to you and the joy in your eyes, you noticed that he was looking at you instead,
"Connor, are you even paying attention?" you nervously laughed under his intense stare, "Why are you looking at me like that?"
He turned his head to peer up into the large tank,
"I am paying attention. I just...I'd much prefer to look at you, that's all."
You felt your face warm up just a bit,
"What? Why?" you looked away out of anxiousness
"I just really enjoy seeing you so happy. It's been a while..." he slightly smiled to himself
You wrapped your arm around his torso, causing him to wrap his around your shoulder to tuck you close against him. You felt him lean down to place a kiss on the top of your head, you smiled at this. You didn't even notice the stares you two were getting, neither of you did. It was almost like this very crowded place was deserted, and you two were the only ones there. With you both still intertwined you began to walk around more, slowly you broke apart and walked hand in hand. A couple of hours were filled with wonder and joy as you stared at all the different aquatic creatures. Some bright, some large, some colorful; they were all beautiful but a couple were creepy in their own way. You held onto Connor's hand as you both were leaving,
"That was fun." You smiled
"I'm glad you enjoyed it, but, that wasn't all." he looked to you
"What? Seriously?" you were taken aback
He calmly nodded,
"I have somewhere else I'd like to take you." he helped you into the car and you both headed to your next destination. He did the same as the last time, telling you to close your eyes before you got there. He again lead you into the building because of your blindness, he covered your ears and you heard the muffled voices of him and someone else. He removed his hands and lead you to somewhere where he sat you down, you wanted to peek so badly but Connor reminded you that you'd only spoil the surprise. You felt his presence kneel down in front of you,
"Connor?" you were even more confused now
"Just wait a minute."
You felt him slip off your shoes and you quietly gasped out of surprise,
"What are you doing?" you questioned him again
"You'll have to guess." he calmly spoke but you could hear the hint of a smile in his voice
"Okay, okay..are we bowling?" you asked as you attempted to guess what was about to happen
"I don't know, are we?" he placed a shoe on your foot and began to lace it up before tying it
"Uh, skating ring?" you guessed again. The android stayed silence as he put on the other shoe, you felt him stand and heard him fumble around a bit; probably putting on the same shoes he was putting on you before. His presence towered over you again and pulled you up onto your feet, you wobbled around, these shoes were quite odd to balance on so you ended up falling into his arms. He held you upright by your arms and quietly chuckled,
"You can open them now."
You quickly looked down at what was on your feet and the blade attached to the bottom of the shoes made sense,
"Wh-what? Ice skating?" you smiled up at him
"Have you ever been?"
"No, I have not." You laughed as you wobbly tried to balance, making sure you held onto Connor as much as he held onto you. He helped you onto the ice rink and you almost fell backward but the android made sure to keep his grip on you, you were certainly glad he wasn't human because you surely would've fell on your back if he wasn't so naturally strong. He didn't seem to have to give it a thought as he slowly skated backwards to help you go foward, you wondered how he could do it so easily. He was programmed to be perfect but how was a android detective able to ice skate so well?
You slipped and struggled to keep your balance, but you felt safe with Connor so everytime you'd almost bust your hip you laughed instead of being too afraid to continue. It was a bit embarassing but Connor didn't seem to mind at all, you almost sort of had the hang of it,
"Let me try on my own." you suggested
"Are you sure?" he cautiously asked
You nodded and the android hesitated before he let go of you slowly and carefully, to not disturb your already wobbly balance. He moved slightly back from you and you slid yourself toward him, your torso leaning back and forth in order to maintain a upright stature. You slid yourself into his arms and laughed.
"See? I'm a pro now!" You joked
He smiled, "If you say so, Y/n."
"Well since you're so good ,do you know any tricks?"
He nodded, "Here's a nice one." he angled your feet so that your blades would easily slide against the ice if he held you correctly before he began to speed across the rink in the skates. You yelped when his hands wrapped around your waist and he propelled you up as he skated around, you giggled.
"Please do not drop me." you nervously begged
He assured you that he wouldn't as he brought you back into his arms to spin with you, you laughed at the quick motion before he finally stopped. Carefully placing you back onto your feet, you wobbled as you felt dizzy. You laughed all the while as your vision became still again,
"That was amazing, Connor!" you praised him in astonishment at the android's talent. Sure he could naturally pull that off better than any human but it was still amazing nonetheless. He smiled and thanked you. He brought your hand onto his and his soft lips planted a kiss upon it,
"I only did well, thanks to my amazing partner." he semi joked
You laughed, if this came from any one but Connor it'd be way more corny but since it was him it was cute,
"I barely touched the ground, I'm pretty sure you could do that with anyone." you pointed out as he began to slowly skate around the rink with you. He shrugged,
"That doesn't mean I'd do it with any one else but you." he smiled.
You both finished skating around the rink a couple of times before your legs and feet became tired and Connor quickly urged to leave if you were beginning to feel uncomfortable. He brought you back to the bench where your shoes were and helped you into your previous pairs. You waited for him to return the skates before you both left the place. You both stopped at a small restauraunt where you'd eat specifically and you both would talk about your favorite parts of the day. You told him what you loved the most before he spoke,
"I enjoyed every moment." Connor stated as he watched you eat your meal
"What?! You had to have had a favorite!" you took a sip of the drink you ordered
"Nope, every moment was with you, there's no way I could pick a favorite part under those circumstances."
"You're such a dork." You quietly laughed as you felt heat rise into your cheeks, your hand moved it's way across the table towards him. He brought his hand from under the table to snake it into yours, his fingers intertwined with yours and you smiled.
"Is--Is that a bad thing?" he cautiously asked
"No! Of course not...it's one of the things I love about you actually." your free hand reached up to push some hair behind your ear. He smiled back at you finally, in relief that it wasn't a bad thing to be a dork. He couldnt help it though, especially not around you. He meant every single word he said whether it was cheesy or not, that's why you loved it so much. You squeezed his hand tightly, you couldn't believe this man in front of you could love you as much as he did. Not because he was an android, but rather because you never thought any one could have such strong feelings for you the way he did. You both headed home after you ate. You both pulled up into the driveway, it was now dark. You leaned over the center console to grab a hold of his face to pull it into yours, your lips collided softly and your arms quickly wrapped around his neck. He kissed you softly, sweetly. Connor was confident that his mission to make you the happiest human was completed at this moment. Your hands found their way to the collar of his shirt to deepen the kiss as you pulled him against you more. You broke away, mostly to breath properly as your heart was beating out your chest.
"I love you." the android quickly said as he look at you, you could of sworn his voice sounded breathless. You couldn't tell if it was because the heat of the moment or if he genuinely couldn't breathe during that ordeal.
"I love you too." You softly panted out. He got out the car and helped you out quickly so that he could bring you into his arms properly. He held you tightly against him and you did the same. You both headed inside once you broke apart. The living room was dark so you assumed Hank had already resided to his room. You both kicked off your shoes near the door before you headed into the bathroom with a change of clothes. You felt the best you had in a very very long time and you returned to the room where you'd find Connor already in his pajamas and sitting up in his bed. You quietly laughed,
"What are you doing, being the first one in bed?" this was unusual, usually he'd sneak in behind you once you were sleep.
"I-I thought that maybe we could...cuddle? If that's alright with you, Y/n."
You smiled and without words practically tackled him softly onto his back as your arms wrapped around him. His arms found their way around you tightly as you layed on top of him. He quietly laughed at your eagerness. Your head burried against his chest and he reached over to the bedside lamp to turn it off.
"Good night, Y/n. I hope I made you very happy today." he quietly spoke
"Of course you did, you always know how to make me happy. I love you, Connor." You shut your eyes softly as snuggled against him
"I love you too." he quickly replied. You let a smile spread onto your face. Connor was very thankful for his advanced vision so that he could see that soft smile in the darkness of the room. You fell asleep with that very smile on your face. The day was perfect, you wouldn't have traded it for anything.
