One Month Later
Hayley
"Hayley ten minutes" my dad called. Tonight's mine and chad's engagement party
I guess it's a little late but we wanted to make sure that we had all the wedding details planned before we relaxed

"And then he said momma I want to be an astronaut" Mrs.Gilbert was telling stories about when chad was little
"And I remember when chad was a baby he had the cutest little baby butt, Hayley I'm sure you know what it looks like now" she continued
I choked on the water I was drinking, I hate champagne it tastes awful, and blushed madly
Jeremy started to clank a fork against his glass signaling that he too was about to make a toast
"Hey everyone I just wanted to say that even though I haven't known Hayles that long I still think of her as a sister and one of my closest friends, chad I've never seen Hayley as happy as she is with you so good luck to you both and if you ever hurt her I'll kick your ass. To Hayley and chad"
"Hayley and chad" everyone mumbled. Everyone drank while I just laughed. That was such a Jeremy thing to say
I was surprised when chad stood up "everyone we have an announcement" oh no!
"Chad" I whisper shouted but he ignored me "Hayles and I have decided that after we get married we're gonna start trying for a baby"
I blushed furiously as the room erupted with cheers. Chad and I had been taking about after we're married and one of the things we talked about was babies
After a few more, less embarrassing, toasts everyone gathered on the dance floor
As chad spun me around I saw a figure leave the shop, yes we had it at Paul's but can you blame us it's where our first date was
I went outside to see who had left the party, I ended up wandering down the side ally where I saw Taylor smoking a cigarette
"Hey why'd you come out here" I asked walking up to him. He shrugged taking another drag of his cigarette
"I thought you quit smoking" I said. Taylor shrugged again "we all think things" he mumbled
I shook my head "what the hell's your problem" I snapped, he looked confused
"I don't have one" he said simply "yes you hate this all of this you hate that I'm getting married and it's not to you" I accused
Taylor flicked his cigarette then he pushed me against the wall pinning my body back with his
"You don't feel anything at all" he asked, I shook my head "it's too late" I whispered more to myself
"It doesn't have to be I love you Hayley" he whispered his lips centimeters from mine
Before I could say anything else his lips were pressed against mine. I melted into his embrace kissing back softly
I opened my mouth slightly letting his tongue in, Taylor moaned into my mouth tightening his grip on my hips
He broke away leaning his head against my shoulder as I leaned up to softly whisper in his ear
"Lets get outta here"
I don't know what possessed me but I wanted Taylor and I needed to have him as soon as possible
We crashed into the door of his dorm lips still connected "I love you Hayley" he whispered against my lips
"Mmm love you too" I replied, in my mind and heart I wasn't engaged at the moment, I belonged to Taylor
We tore at each others clothing until we crashed against the small twin sized bed completely bare
Taylor reached over me pulling a condom from his sock drawer "you are so cliche" I chuckled
He kissed me hard "I know" he said against my lips he rolled off me for a second to put the condom on
Soon he was hovering over me "are you sure you wanna do this Hayley" he asked brushing some hair from my eyes
"I'm yours now isn't that what you wanted" I asked, Taylor nodded lacing his right hand with my left
When he pulled away my ring was gone and he was setting it on the stand by his bed
He smiled at me "you still sure" he asked, I nodded "I need you Taylor" I whispered
Amazing.
That's the only way to describe it. I don't know why I waited so long but man am I glad I did
I realized something as I was laying on Taylor's chest catching my breath : he was the one.
He was the one I was supposed to have my first time with, it was never chad it was always Taylor.
It's the night of my engagement party a month before my wedding and I'm in bed with my best friend
But he's not my best friend anymore, he's my lover. No. He's much more than that

My eyes cracked open adjusting to the new morning sunlight. Man, that was some dream last night
I sat up a bit stretching my arms when I heard a small voice call out "come back here I'm cold"
I looked down and almost screamed with happiness. All I wanted to do was jump for joy lame as it seems
Hayley was staring at me through cracked eyelids body bare, and apparently, very cold
I laid back down and she huddled herself against my chest, so last night wasn't a dream
"Hayles" I whispered "hmmm?" She replied tiredly "what now" I asked putting my arms around her
Hayley moved her head up to look at me "so us now" she said simply. "So you love me" I asked
Hayley nodded "I do" she whispered I smiled and kissed her gently "I'll end things with chad later" she said when we pulled away
She looked at my alarm clock and made a noise of disgust "it's five thirty in the morning can we get a few more hours of sleep please"
I laughed and nodded pulling her as close as possible "I love you" I mumbled into her hair "love you too Tay" she yawned
A few hours later I woke with Hayley still in my arms. I leaned down and kissed her lips softly
She kissed back slightly before her eyes fluttered open and she smiled at me "morning" she mumbled
"Morning" I said then heard a groaning noise. I looked over to see Jeremy sound asleep in his bed
Hayley had a look of panic in her eyes but I hushed her "he was pretty out of it last night he probably won't remember anything" I whispered
She nodded and got out of bed. We both got dressed all though I planned on taking a shower
I kissed Hayley goodbye and we exchanged 'I love you's' then went to the showers that the dorm provided us with
I walked into the dorm in just boxers surprised to find Jeremy up and sitting on his bed seemingly waiting for me
"What time did Hayley leave" he asked blankly anger only visible in his once soft blue eyes
I stayed quiet which caused him to shout "I came looking for her last night and caught you two sleeping"
I still said nothing so he continued "everyone looked everywhere I told chad that she wasn't here I fucking lied for you guys"
"Thank you Jeremy but you shouldn't be upset Hayley and I are in love and once she breaks things off with chad we can be together" I said hopefully
Jeremy looked at me with a spiteful expression "you're right I shouldn't be upset chad should he's one of the nicest guys in the world and his fiancée cheated on him a month before the wedding on the night of his engagement party"
I looked down. I might feel bad for chad but I don't regret what Hayley and I did. We're in love, it's only natural
"Jeremy this is the first time in months that I've been happy please please I am begging you just accept us" I pleaded
Jeremy sighed "it's gonna take a while" I smiled "thanks man" I saw Jeremy crack a small grin
"no problem so uh you and Hayles huh" he said with a cheeky smile, I rolled my eyes and sat across from him on my bed
"Shut up" I said throwing a pillow at him. He laughed and tossed it back at me and I replaced it on my bed
