Your pov
"Is this entire Kingdom made of candy?" you asked looking around in awe, 'I guess it was obvious, I mean it is called the Candy Kingdom.' but nothing could have prepared you for this
"Yeah, do you want some?" Finn asked looking at you
"Sure." you said full of excitement, you followed him down the front steps and down to a brick path, then he bent down and pulled a candy brick from the ground
"Here, it's side walk brittle." he said smiling as he handing it to you
You hadn't really had any candy in the orphanage so you took a hesitant bite. Your eyes got big as you ate the sweet candy
"This is delicious!!" you said eating more of it, Finn got this worried look on his face
"You can't eat the people!" he exclaimed
"What? I wasn't going to eat the people." you said confused as you stuffed the last piece of candy in your mouth, 'Eat the people? I'm not a cannibal.' you thought bewildered
"Oh...Ok." he said with a sigh of relief as we started walking again
you observed all the intricate candy buildings and decorations until two little pink and blue blobs wearing bows walked by, you stopped and stared at them in shock
"The people are candy to!?!" you asked with your mouth hanging open, now you understood what he meant by "you cant eat the people."
"Yeah...." he said slowly with a worried face
"That's....weird, and cool." you said remembering that talking dogs were a thing so why not candy people. He looked relived and you continued walking 'oh right, we're the only humans, so I guess everyone else is either candy or talking animals? I might as well be in candy land....Wait..... is this candy land??' You wondered as you passed through a drawbridge made out of toast, There were some yellow banana people with spears standing by the gate, they didn't say anything as you passed over the toast bridge. You saw Jake standing by one of the trees that were made of cotton candy.
"This is Jake." Finn said stopping by Him
"Ok, hi I'm y/n." you said in a wary voice
"Hi." He said
you looked to Jake and then back to Finn
"Ok so were is your house?" you ask trying to escape the awkward silence, both of them looked relived
"This way." Finn said walking off down a path 'He has a cute smile. what!' you thought mentally face palming. you and Jake followed behind him
Finn pov
We walked outside the castle doors and y/n looked out at the kingdom in amazement
"Is the entire kingdom made of candy?" she asked, I smiled at her enthusiasm
"Yeah, do you want some?" I asked
"Sure." she said happily. I led her down the steps and pulled out a piece of side walk brittle
"Here it's sidewalk brittle." I said smiling as I handed it to her, she took it and took a small bite, her eyes got as big as Susan's did,
"This is delicious!" she said stuffing more in her mouth. Now she really looked like Susan. Wait
"You can't eat the people!:" I blurted out worriedly
"what? I wasn't going to eat the people." she said with a confused look in my direction
"Oh...ok." I said with a relived sigh, we started walking again and I saw the gumdrop lasses walk by
"The people are made of candy to!?!" she asked as I spun around
"Yeah...." I said slowly holding my breath
"That's so weird... and cool."she said turning back to me
Oh thank glob. I thought as we continued.
Your pov
You walked passed more candy trees and they eventually thinned out into regular trees. then you could see bright green rolling hills across a small winding river. You hopped over the river by stepping on stones sticking out of it like Finn, then you noticed that Jake was already across 'How did he get over there so fast??' you wondered confused, You walked onto the first rolling hill and you could make out a huge tree in the distance,
"That's were we live." Finn said pointing at the tree
"You live in a tree? Or is it a magic portal leading to a mansion." You ask
".......No it's a tree fort." Jake answers while they both stare at you in confusion
"oh..." you answer, you take a closer look and notice small buildings sticking off of it. 'Well I guess that makes more sense' you think.
"Last one there is a rotten egg!" Finn yells taking off in the direction of the tree fort, Jake grows two times his size and runs on all fours.
you stare before running after them. you were starting to get numb to all this stuff, you weren't sure if you would ever be surprised again. Jake made it there first followed by Finn and you came in last
"No fair Jake, No stretching." Finn said panting
"You never said I couldn't stretch." Jake answered smirking
you had your hands on your knees trying to catch your breath. You looked up and got a good look at the tree fort before you, it looked super cool to say the least.
Jake opened the door and walked inside, Finn held the door for you
"Thank you." you said walking through
"Your welcome." he said flashing you a smile
you smiled back not exactly sure what it was that your feeling, there were piles of gold coins and treasure scattered all over the floor you stared at it in amazement, there was also a ladder leading up to the next floor you guessed
"This is our treasure room." Finn said walking past me and over the treasure to the ladder
you followed both of them up the ladder, when you got to the top you saw a couch with a table and a simple kitchen
"This is the kitchen and where we eat, and the bathroom is over there." Finn said pointing to a alcove in the tree trunk
he led you through a door on the left that opened up on to a bridge. You followed him over to the room and he opened the door, (This is the room with the bucket hanging out of it.)
"We fixed it up for you." He said smiling
inside there was a twin size bed with c/c a bedside table with a lamp on it and a small dresser. there was also plywood covering what you assumed to be a hole in the floor
"We weren't really using this room and its close to the bathroom." he said as you sat your bag on the bed
"Thank you!!" you exclaimed, you hadn't had your own room in years.
he smiled and you went back to the kitchen, Jake was digging through their fridge and you followed Finn up the ladder to another floor, there was a purple chair, a small table, a fire place and two small robots
"This is the living room and that's BMO and Neptr." Finn said pointing at the robots
"Oh, Finn is this your girlfriend? BMO asked
"No." you said feeling your face grow hot 'Am I blushing?' you thought
"Oh...but Finns been talking about you for the last three days." BMO said smiling
"That's because she's the only other human!" Finn said
"Ok." BMO said grinning at him.
Finn walked in front of you and led you up another ladder to the next room, there was a bed with animal skins on it and a dresser with an open drawer that had a pillow and blanket in it
"This me and Jake's room." Finn said
"Thank you for showing me around." you said smiling
"No problem." he said smiling back, he led you back down to the living room, you didn't see BMO or Neptr though ( I have noticed quite a few things that I have decided not to question while writing this, one of those things is how Neptr get's from room to room via ladder.)
"So, how are you and Jake brothers?" you asked
"Oh, well Jake's parents found me abandoned on a mountain when I was a baby and they took me in." Finn said looking down
"Oh, i'm sorry, my parents died when I was 5." you said pushing the memory to the back of your head. He gave you a sympathetic glance
"How old are you?" he asked
"15." you answered
"I'm 16." he said smiling
you smiled back
"Well if you want you can look around some more or I can take you back to your room." Finn said looking at the clock
you looked at the clock as well, it said 'Finn & Jake timeless' on it 'Cute.' you thought. It was already 9:23, you must have woken up pretty late in the evening.
"Can you take me to my room?" you ask starting to feel tired from today's events
"Sure." he said smiling
you climbed down the ladder and saw Jake making something, you followed Finn out the door and across the bridge to your room
"Well thanks again." you said walking in and sitting down on the edge of your bed
He nodded and smiled before shutting the door. you picked your bag up and opened it, there was 4 changes of clothes like the ones you were wearing, sleeping wear, a hairbrush and toiletries. You stood up put the clothes in the dresser and set the hairbrush on the bedside table, then you changed into the sleeping wear (tank top and shorts) and hopped in bed. 'Finn is really nice compared to all the other boys I'v met that are really annoying.' you thought rolling onto your side'When I wake up I'll be back in the orphanage' you thought, but then you didn't really want to.
