ONE HELL OF A GOOD NEIGHBOR : LIMERICK (CHAIN)
Dedicated to Bette
Our next door neighbor was Cy,
A kind and clean living guy.
Our whole neighborhood
Thought he was so good.
They all spoke highly of Cy.
Twenty-nine years have zipped by
Since the first day I met Cy.
He lived such a long life
With Bette, his good wife.
How quickly those years passed by!
He built us a cedar fence.
It was all at his expense.
He made it strong and straight,
Even installed a gate.
The structure was quite immense.
One year ago he did die.
We miss seeing him drive by.
Bette is managing well
As far as we all can tell
But is lonely and misses Cy.
