Heartfelt Words

Remembrance

I remember feeling like this before,
Remembrance is a key on a chain;
Keeping only one but if lost never found again.
The trees have only started growing leaves just to lose them again,
I don't understand,
I thought that I could just be me and it be okay.
A cat slithers between my feet,
knowing where to go but where do I go from here?
The road is foggy,
my lantern lights only so much.
A map would be nice to have in my hands,
But the names of the places keep changing.
And I am a mountain that changes with it.
