tv static?
still here
around my shoulders
again
fighting with my mother (as is the status quo)
uncultured
firewall
faux pas
opposite
don't get closer
you can't live in a sandcastle
this rock is in fact slippery and covered in moss
i can't tell if it's a caricature or a reflection
the flower crown in my reflection
self disgust
funny that this still counts as poetry
a nightmare about xanax/ a dream i didn't understand until i woke up
losing my senses June 3, 2019 at 7:26 PM
does 'writer's block' describe this properly
you called me the stars
lash out at me
stupid
"invasive doesn't even apply here. I don't understand why you said that"
this might've been anxiety?
fading
tweezers
gray
Are You Tired of Me Yet?

Words
aren't
working
stare at a blank page
look at the sky
huge
a glittering blanket
you've already talked about the sky
repeat
repeat
reuse the same words because you're running out of new phrases
fire
dancing, wild
angry, desperate
trying to escape
who isn't trying to escape
people
the same ones you always talk about
brown eyes
honey, milk chocolate
skin
dark, tan, light
hair
dark, straight, a waterfall
dark, curly, a cloud
light, straight, again, like honey
nothing is working
I'm a pen running out of ink!
A poet running out of words!
what does that make me?
tired, empty, overused?
bored, bland, uninspired
each word
is
a
chore, fight, uhhh
nothing
is
working
a faucet
drip
drip
drip
....
....
drip
where is the torrent?
the gushing rain?
where
are
my
words?
pen's running dry
remember you're not actually a pen
don't throw yourself away when you're empty
pen's running dry
time for a new one
