He says he'll never let go,
But how I can know for sure,
That I'm safe, protected, and loved?
I can't be.
I trust him so much,
But a part of me won't let me get closer
Out of fear of loosing him.
I couldn't make it if I lost him.
He has no idea how much he means to me.
How much I look to him for help-
Help to hold on to the little bit of sanity I have.
Because if I loose it- I loose me too.
He's the main reason I get up and go through school now.
I don't see my friends, barely talk to them as well.
I'm so alone at school.
But when I get home, I know he'll be there.
He says he always will be, too.
I need a constant in my life.
But I hope I found it now.
Because it's him.
He has no clue how much
I truly hurt.
He says my past is my past,
And he won't judge me because of it.
But my past isn't what he thinks.
Four months ago, I was so different.
Always happy, loved school, had people to trust, a happy family.
But that all changed.
It all changed. Along with me.
Someday I'll get a man who
Brings out my smile. Makes me laugh,
Even when I'm depressed. Makes me, me.
Brings the old me back.
I'm tired of this 'new' me.
She's so negative, depressed.
The opposite of what I used to be.
I just hate what I've become.
I want the old me back.
The smiles, laughs, memories.
Question is:
Can he help me get her back?
