brandon held an ice pack to kailani's forehead as she groaned, "who knew you injured so easily" zion chuckled before pursing his lips as kailani grilled him
"you bitch!" kailani swing her hand in a quick motion only for brandon to block her hand
"keep still" brandon looked down at the girl who rolled her eyes at him before laying back down
"we're gonna go grab something to eat please do not kill each other in here" edwin peeked un watching kailani smile at him and brandon shake his head
the boys quickly left the room before brandon sat next to kailani still holding the ice pack to her forehead, "can you play music i hate sitting in silence" she broke the silence
he removed the ice pack from her head and walked over to his speaker turning it on watching as she sat up picking up her phone looking at the time.
it was nearing midnight meaning and she knew she wasn't going home tonight, as long as she was home by tomorrow to spend time with elom she was fine remembering she promised friday would be his day.
kailani smiled as the sound of the harp being played came out the speakers and the sound of h.e.r's voice followed, brandon took his sweater off before sitting next to the girl on his bed placing the ice pack on his head.
"you like this song?" he asked looking over at the girl who swayed back and forth
"it's one of my favorite" she admitted watching him smile
"so what's your favorite song?" brandon asked
"don't clown me but it's purpose by justin bieber it's so amazing it makes me cry every time i hear it" kailani admitted noticing brandon frown holding his heart
"that's the cutest thing i've heard all day" he let out a laugh as she hit him
brandon pushed her twists out of her face as he ran his hands over her bump making kailani hiss, "it's going down a bit" he analyzed the bump before his view was blocked by kailani's phone as she tried to get a view of the bump
"baby can you focus on me" he sung the song softly as kailani looked up smiling
"so smooth arreaga" kailani bit her bottom lip impressed by the boy
"but i made you smile" brandon teased making her roll her eyes as usual
the song quickly ended as the melody to water runs dry came in making kailani's mouth fall open, "let me guess this is your favorite song too" brandon guessed chuckling as he watched an eager kailani nod her head
kailani closed her eyes mouthing the lyrics to the song snapping her fingers in the process, "sing it out loud come on" brandon nudged her as she shook her head
"oh honey i don't sing" kailanj scoffed trying to believe her own lie
"come on please kailani" brandon poked out his lip before kailani let out a deep breath and caved in
she sat up as he laid his head across her lap looking up at the girl as she sung to him, brandon's mouth slightly parted as he watched kailani in amazement, "woah you are really multi talented huh?" he grinned watching the girl laugh
"a lil sum like that" kailani shrugged running her hands through brandon's hair
"why can't we get along like this everyday" brandon looked back at kailani grabbing her hand
"your girlfriend won't apologize" kailani pursed her lips as she pulled her hand back
brandon sighed sitting up looking kailani in her eyes, "i'm sorry for her ways and for defending it i was just trying to be a good boyfriend" brandon watched as kailani nod
"oh i know but being a great boyfriend consists of being a better person and defending ignorance is the worst person you can be" kailanj folded her arms as brandon sighed in defeat
he laid his head back down, "so let's start over i'm brandon" brandon grabbed them girl's hand once more shaking it
"i'm kailani" she laughed shaking his hand back gently
"so kailani tell me about yourself? brandon grinned up at the girl getting comfortable before the two laid there for a while talking about their lives opening up about things they normally didn't discuss on a daily — she thought about how it was nice to have someone to talk other than zion — brandon was easy to get comfortable with and he didn't judge unlike his waste yute of a girlfriend.
but he was also easy to admire the longer the two sat there and talk the more things kailani could find to like about him, his mellow calming voice that wasn't too low or too high and his smile it could make the coldest heart melt.
she couldn't forget his glasses. that was her favorite thing about him they fit his face so well and gave him character while making him fifty times hotter, but he was brandon, her best friends bandmate who had a stuck up ass girlfriend that made her want to knock her head off any chance she got.
kailani pulled herself out of her thoughts when a familiar song came on that made her wanna dance as her mind took a trip down memory lane, she looked at brandon who looked at her smiling around before jumping up and dancing to the music making her laugh as he pulled her up off his bed.
"this is such a throwback" kailani closed her eyes as brandon held her in his arms swaying back and forth to a good thing by sage the gemini
brandon smiled as he two stepped to the beat spinning me in circle as she laughed some more looking up at him, she noticed how cute he was with his little grin that he wore everytime she looked at him, being in his arms felt like one of the best things right now in this moment.
but she knew feeling like this would lead to nothing good.
"i know you know we know we can make the good shit keep happening" brandon sung as pulling her closer and bending her over as he looked her in the eye
"fuck off arreaga" kailani said grinning at him as he smiled
"what are you two doing?" zion's voice peered from behind brandon as they both stood up
"dancing" the two spoke at once triggering them to laugh
zion looked at the pair weird before holding up the food, "well the food is in the kitchen when y'all done dancing" he said putting quotations around the word dancing
kailani flipped him off smiling as she turned back to brandon who looked at her as he leaned against his door frame, "this ain't nothing but dangerous" kailani shook her head
"it's a good thing though" brandon smirked looking down at the kailani who never stopped shaking her head at his statement before leaving with nothing to say
he ain't gonna win that easy.
