No one's POV
It was very early in the morning the next day. Aaron was resting on his car checking the news on his phone, outside of the abandoned house. Y/n walks out of the house as Summer was right behind him. Aaron saw the two heading towards him so he puts his phone away.
"Ready you two?" Aaron shoved his hands in his pockets.
Y/n nods as Summer was practically jumping in excitement.
"Of course I am! I get to see my daughters again!" A smile grew on Summer's lips.
Aaron couldn't help but let out a chuckle seeing her excitement. "Alright. Get in so we can go."
Summer does so and sat in the back. Y/n was about to enter the car as well but Aaron caught his attention.
"She's reminds me of a kid. In a good way."
Y/n turns to him and nods. "No kidding. Spending several months with her was definitely interesting."
"I bet..." Aaron's tone went quiet and serious. "So, will you rejoin Beacon?"
Y/n hesitates to answer, not sure about the situation himself. "I...I don't know...I told you how I was treated."
"True...But, you know you don't have to go back right away. You can go back whenever you're ready."
"I guess. But what about you? What will you do?"
"Good question." Aaron pauses. "I don't really know where I'll go. I know I'm not an assassin or a Templar, but I want to bring the latter down, so no one needs to suffer ever again. I know they're stationed somewhere here in Vale, so I might stay a while before I go somewhere else."
"Alright." Y/n nods before getting in the car.
Time skip,
Bullhead
The three were now in a bullhead. Aaron had the bullhead driver take them to Beacon. The three were quiet as Summer was humming happily in her seat as Aaron was on his phone again. Y/n, who changed into regular clothes before they went in the bullhead, on the other hand was deep in his thoughts as he was staring at the ground. Aaron turns off his phone before speaking.
"I let Ozpin know we're on our way. Summer, your daughters and Qrow will be waiting for you in the courtyard."
"Okay." Summer turns her head to Aaron. "But what about Tai or Raven?"
"Who?"
"Tai's my husband and Raven is a part of my team and is Qrow's sister."
"Sorry, but he didn't say anything about them."
"Oh..." Summer was seen clearly sadden as she lowers her head. Aaron signed before putting a hand on her shoulder.
"Don't worry about them. They're probably busy with stuff."
"Really?"
Aaron only nods in response. Summer smiles before the two heard y/n mumbling to himself. He would occasionally say something that the two couldn't hear, probably talking to Ezio about something.
Eventually, the pilot yelled something over his shoulder. "Alright you three, we're almost there!"
After he yelled, y/n broke out of his conversation before he stood up and stretched. Aaron did the same as Summer was looking a little worried.
Meanwhile,
Yang's POV
Me and my team were heading towards the courtyard of Beacon. We don't really know why though. Ozpin simply messaged me and Ruby to go there immediately. So we decided to bring Weiss and Blake along. We were chatting the whole way there. Once we got to the courtyard however, the first person we saw was our uncle Qrow.
"Uncle Qrow?" I questioned.
I guess he heard me since he turned around and saw us. Ruby used her semblance to speed her way over to him. She wrapped herself around his arm once she got to him.
"Uncle Qrow!" Ruby yells. "Did you miss us?! Did you?! Did you?!"
"...Nope." He jokes while grinning.
Qrow dropped Ruby on the ground. Then he playfully ruffled her hair as he chuckled. I couldn't help but smile seeing Qrow here. But that smile fades when I noticed that Trevor, Olivia, and Derek were with him as well.
'What's going on?' And several other questions were popping in my head.
I felt someone nudge my shoulder. I look over and saw that it was Blake. I guess she saw me confused as she's looking curiously at me.
"Hey, you okay? You seem off." She said as we heard Ruby whining about something.
I didn't want to worry her so I shrugged the feeling off. "I'm fine kitty-cat." I wink.
She raised an eyebrow at the nickname. I smirked before I walked over to Qrow.
"Hey, Qrow!" I waved at him.
Qrow heard me as he smiles. "Hey, firecracker."
"What're you doing in Vale?"
Ruby finally decided to get up as she got to my side. "Yeah! I thought you're mission was supposed to take like, forever."
Qrow laughs. "You're talking to a professional huntsman, kiddos. I managed to finished a few days ago."
Ruby was excited as ever as she began to ask Qrow several questions about his mission. I didn't listen to them as I saw Trevor and Derek slightly glaring at Qrow for some reason.
'What did my uncle do now?'
I'm curious about why they're even with Qrow, so I decided I wanted answers. I walked over to them and once they saw me, their expressions instantly changed as they all had fake smiles on.
"Hey guys!"
"Hey, Yang." Olivia said while giving a small bow.
"Sup." He winks at me as Derek only nodded at my presence.
"What's up?" I ask. "Haven't seen you guys in a while. Where've you been? And what're you doing hanging out with Qrow?" I placed a hand on my hip.
"We've been busy. And Qrow's our mentor." Trevor responds. The last part he didn't sound too happy about.
"Really? Since when?"
"About a week ago." Derek informs me.
"Oh...How come? I thought you three didn't need extra help since you're second and third year students."
"It was Ozpin's decision." Olivia spoke up. "Since we're a three man team, he wants us to work extra hard in order to be prepared for the Vital Festival tournament."
"Oh cool! Hope Qrow hasn't cause you guys too much trouble with his drinking problem." I rolled my eyes as I remember him training me while being drunk all the time.
"I heard that!" I heard Qrow shout from behind me. Which I answer by turning to him and sticking my tongue at him.
I was about to continue the conversation until I saw Ozpin himself walking towards us with his cane in one hand and his mug of coffee in the other.
'Now Ozpin? I'm so confuse. What's going on?'
"Hello everyone." He looks around before looking at me, Uncle Qrow, and Ruby. "Qrow, Ruby, Yang, would you three come with me?" He walks off towards the edge of the courtyard while motioning for us to follow.
"Oz? What's going on?" Qrow questions.
Ozpin only smirks at us. The three of us were confused but we decided to follow him anyway. I look behind and saw everyone else following us. Everyone saw a bullhead land up ahead. I look around and noticed that everyone except for Ozpin was confused as much as I am.
Meanwhile,
No one's POV
Inside the bullhead, the door opens to let the three out. Aaron was the first to exit as Summer was next. But before she stepped out, she began to hesitate. Y/n was confused as he was behind her.
"Summer, you okay?" He puts a hand on her shoulder.
Summer turns to y/n, clearly worried about something. "I-I don't know if I can do this."
"What? Why not?"
"Because they probably think I'm dead. What if they moved on already? What if they have a new mother? I-I-I..." She began breathing nervously as tears form in her eyes.
Y/n took a moment to answer. He wants to help, but he doesn't know what to say. He took a sec to come up with an answer. Once he did, he sighs.
"Summer, I'm sure everything is going to be okay. You're their mother, I'm sure they'll be more than happy to see you after all these years. And I'm sure they'll understand that you were taken away by people and were held prisoner for a couple of years. So relax, okay?"
Summer was quiet. She looks down for a moment before smiling at y/n. "Okay. Thank you." She wipes the tears away and smiles.
With that, Summer stepped out of the bullhead. Y/n was about to as well until he saw Ezio standing at the other side of the door frame. "Y/n..."
"Yeah?"
"Your hand." Ezio motions to y/n's right hand.
Y/n raises an eyebrow. He looks down and saw an emblem glowing on his hand.
His eyes widen as his mouth drops. "What...?"
Y/n stops when he felt his head spinning. He clutches his head as he leans on the bullhead. Ezio yells y/n's name as he saw y/n's eyes beginning to glow white. Y/n couldn't hear Ezio as all he could hear was the sound of ringing in his ears.
In y/n's head, a vision forms in his mind.
Vision
Somewhere in an ocean, a ship was sailing in a deadly storm.
The waves were crashing against the ship as the men did their best to not be swept away as the rain was poring onto the deck, creating a slippery place. A man was at the wheel yelling orders at the rest of the crew.
"Get the cannons ready lads!" The captain yells.
The men followed orders as they were prepping the cannons for some reason. Lightning was heard in the distance as the man spins the wheel to turn the ship around. A loud noise was heard under the boat.
"Where's the beast!?"
"It's under us!" A crew member yells as he held onto the side of the ship for dear life.
On cue, giant tentacles come out of the water and surround the ship.
"The kraken is here lads! Let's kill this bastard!" The captain yells as he points at it with one hand.
The rest of the Grimm comes out of the water as the ship was avoiding the tentacles.
The man orders his men to shoot the Grimm with the cannons. The Grimm lets out a loud roar as it was about to attack the ship but everything went black.
Reality
"Y/n!" Ezio was standing in front of y/n.
The glow in y/n's eyes died down. Once they did, y/n lets out a gasp as he steps back, his entire body shaking. He slowly looks down at his hands as the mark disappears on his hand.
"What was that?" Ezio tried getting y/n's attention.
Y/n slowly looks up at Ezio, his eyes showed fear and confusion as he looks worried. "I-I...I...saw some thing...some one..." he mumbles.
"Are you all right?" Ezio asks worryingly.
"I-I think so..."
The two stare stare at each other for a moment before y/n left the bullhead. Ezio watched y/n leave before disappearing.
Meanwhile
Summer was nervously walking out of the bullhead to the courtyard. After a few steps, she heard a few gasps. In front of her was Qrow, Yang, and Ruby, all in disbelief at who they're seeing.
"M-mom?!" Both Ruby and Yang yell in unison.
"Summer?!" Qrow yells.
Summer stops walking when she was a few feet away from them. She nervously waves at them as she had an awkward smile on. The other three look were dumbfounded by her. Their brains couldn't process the situation they were in.
After a moment of awkward staring, both Qrow and Yang were trying to hold back their tears but a few got out. Ruby steps right in front of her as she was crying.
"M-m-mom? I-is that-?"
"Yes, my little flower, it's me." Summer gave a soft smile.
Ruby sniffed before hugging her. Ruby began to cry uncontrollably as she hugged her mother so tight as if she let go for a moment, her mother would disappear. Summer gladly returned the hug as a few tears came out.
"M-mom..." Yang too ran to Summer as she cries and gave a hug. Again, Summer gladly returns it as the three were in a group hug.
"I-I though you..." Ruby tried speaking through her crying.
"Shhh...it's okay." Summer whispers. "I know I've been gone for a while, but I didn't have any choice. I'm sorry for not being able to watch you two grow up to such good and beautiful girls you are right now."
They continued to hug and cry for a few minutes. After they shed all their tears, they released from the hug and were smiling at one another. Qrow on the other hand wipes a tear away before he began to walk to the three.
"I-I'm so happy you're okay." Ruby said as she wipes her tears.
"I am too," Summer said. "But I wasn't alone. I had help."
"W-what do you mean?" Yang asks.
"I got help from y/n." Summer turns around to see y/n standing behind her.
"Y/n?!" Both Yang and Ruby were shocked. They look behind Summer to see y/n standing there. They ran up to him and tackled him to the ground into a bone crushing hug while repeating "thank you!" over and over.
"C-can't...breath!" Y/n struggles to get them off him as he felt himself getting lightheaded.
The two realized that y/n couldn't breath and instantly got off of him as they kept apologizing. Y/n got up and told them it was fine as he caught his breath. Meanwhile, Summer and Qrow standing next to each other.
"I-I...how...you..." Qrow tried to find his words but obviously failed.
"Hey, Qrow." Summer smiles at him.
After stuttering for a few seconds, Qrow hugs her as a few new tears fell. "I'm so s-sorry...I'm so sorry for... not being-." Qrow sobs uncontrollably as he holds her for dear life.
Summer returns the hug as she too tries not to cry, realizing how much she missed her old teammate. "I-It's fine, Qrow. I'm here now. I missed you."
"I-I misses you too."
As the two continued their reunion, y/n's siblings as well as Blake and Weiss walk to him. But before they could talk to him however, Ozpin step in front of them. "I'll need to talk to him first." He told the group.
Before he could hear their arguments, Ozpin walks over to y/n and puts on a friendly smile. "Hello, y/n." The headmaster said.
Seeing him made y/n turn his head to the other direction. "...Ozpin." He mumbles, not exactly happy to see him again.
"So, have you made a decision?" He took a sip of his coffee.
Before y/n could answer, Aaron steps next to him and placed a hand on his shoulder. "I'm afraid you're going to need to ask another day. He and I have some business we need to take care of first."
Ozpin was about to speak, but Weiss interfered. "Excuse me, who are you?! And do you know who you're-?!"
"First of all," Aaron interrupts her. "Who I am doesn't concern you. And second, I know who I'm talking to, but I don't give a damn." He looks at y/n. "Ready, y/n?"
"...Yeah..." Y/n hesitated to answer as he gave a half nod.
"Good. We'll take a bullhead to Vale then I'll dive us."
Time skip,
Midnight,
Unknown location
Y/n, who was back into his assassin outfit, and Aaron were standing in front of a metal gate in the middle of the woods. Crickets and an owl hooting could be heard in the distance. Y/n was slightly nervous as he stares at the gate. Aaron puts a reassuring hand on y/n's shoulder.
"It'll be quick, I promise." Y/n's cousin reassures.
Y/n nods before looking back at the building behind the fence.
Y/n looks down at the ground as he lets out a long sigh. "Welcome home..." He mumbles.
With that, y/n steps forward and opened the gate with a key from his pocket. He walks past it before Aaron follows him behind.
In a tree, a eagle watches y/n with a curious look. Once y/n enters the house, the eagle flies away.
