"She is not the type of woman who simply believes your perception of her. I would like to change that. No matter how long it takes me."

"What should I wear?" I called out to Justin who was in the living room. It was now four in the afternoon and he randomly insisted on going out on a date but when I asked him where he was planning on taking me, he consistently refused to tell me.
I was currently staring at my closet mindlessly. Once moving in here, I did a fair deal of shopping. Not too much but not too little. A few dresses, skirts, jeans, blouses and a pair of shoes. It minimally increased my closet and provided me enough to create a new outfit every day for the next month or two. I could have purchased more but I hate shopping. Probably because I'm so used to staying home without the money to actually leave and spend the day cashing it in for a new wardrobe.
"Just throw on anything, Amelia. I'm sure you'll look stunning in anything you choose to put on. You even look beautiful with nothing on at all," Justin responded. I could hear that he was back on the piano.
I smiled to myself and turned back to my closet. What did I do to deserve a man as sweet as him?
After a complete interval of five minutes, I finally chose an appropriate outfit to wear. A white flowing mini dress with a pink floral kimono on top. The dress had a brown belt so I wore brown, flat sandals to match.
Moving towards my makeup table, I added subtle curls to my hair and avoided over doing my face. Just some eyeliner along with mascara and lip gloss will do.
I was never a fan of putting on a lot of jewelry either. I grabbed a charm bracelet Henry's mother bought me for my birthday a few years back that I absolutely adore and a silver bracelet that my mother gave me while she was laying on the hospital bed. I never left the house without it, whether I wore it or not.
Speaking of Henry, I should call him. I made a mental note before I quickly picked up a purse and left the room.
I found Justin lost on the piano, playing the same tune he played earlier this morning. It made me wonder if he was in the process of writing a song.
As if he automatically felt my presence, he halted and looked in my direction. He smiled as he got up and headed towards me. I nervously smiled back and played with my fingers.
It's crazy how this man still has the ability to make me timid simply by being himself.
"I missed you," he whispered into my ear, pulling me closer to him by my waist.
"I was only in my bedroom," I replied, placing my hands on his chest and playing with his flannel shirt.
"But I wasn't on top of you." He smirked causing me to blush a deep shade of red.
Kissing my cheek, he held me at arms length, a smile still fixed on his face.
"Mia, you look gorgeous."
"I could say the same to you," I giggled as he unexpectedly hugged me tight.
"I love it when you do that," he chuckled, swaying me.
"I'd like to leave," I responded, hugging him back.
"Anxious little girl, aren't you?" He asked grabbing a handful of my behind, causing me to let out a gasp. "This is a short dress, Amelia."
"Well, It is a mini dress, Justin," I stated.
"But I made my conclusion based on the distance from here," he began, pulling at the hem of my dress. "To here," he continued, rubbing then grabbing my behind again.
I leaned back and wrapped my arms around his neck. "Justin, it's not even that short."
"I just don't take people staring at what's mine very well."
"I know," I said, remembering last night's encounter with those drunk boys in the elevator. "But have I given you any reason to be jealous?"
He cupped my face, placing a passionate kiss on my lips. I felt him smile, causing me to smile back.
He uruptly pulled away but remained close. "No."
"Then don't worry," I told him. He looked directly into my eyes. I still hate when he does that.
"We should leave before I obtain the urge to drag you to the couch again."
"I wouldn't mind it."
"As much as I would enjoy it as well, we're late," He laughed, pulling away from the embrace and intertwining our fingers together. "Ready?"
I nodded. "Just let me grab my keys."
"I love you," he said as if it were an emergency. Most likely because he hasn't reminded me in the last five minutes. I grinned at his consistency.
"I know."

"We've been driving for practically an hour," I stated, a bit annoyed.
Justin still won't tell me where we were going. Right now, we were driving through a cozy and woodsy area, making Justin's fancy sportscar look out of place.
"Be patient, my love," he replied, flashing me a smile of pure excitement. I couldn't help but smile back. He's been radiating happiness all day. If I didn't know he had a whole business on his back, I'd think he was the most relaxed person I've ever met.
"May I ask you where we are?"
"The Greenbelt. In Staten Island," he responded. I raised an eyebrow.
This is a popular hiking area. If hiking is what he plans on doing, I'm definitely not dressed for the occasion.
"Don't worry," he said, taking my hand and kissing it. "I won't force you up a mountain."
How does he read my mind? Boy, I wish I could read his.
After a few minutes, we reached a parking lot. Justin came around the car, opened the door for me, placed his arm around my shoulder and led me towards a path.
"You're not dressed for hiking," I told him once we entered the wooded area.
"That's because we're not hiking, baby. Do you really think I'd let you go hiking dressed the way you are?" he chuckled.
"Then where are we going?" I asked. He pulled me closer towards him and placed a tender kiss on my lips.
"Shh," he whispered then smiled when I remained silent.
He led me onto a path no one seemed to be walking on and beyond the trees was a river bank, glistening from the light of the sun.
"Wow," I breathed when we reached it. I looked up at him to find him already gazing at me.
"Do you like the view?"
"It's beautiful."
"Just like you," he responded, kissing my hair. "Come there's more."
We walked around a cabin and on the other side of it were roses scattered all around, candles lit on the ground, a wonderfully set table for two and a waitor awaiting us. My eyes widened at the sight.
"Did you sleep at all last night?" I asked in awe.
"How could I when you weren't there with me?" he smiled. "Come, David's ready to take our order."
He pulled the chair out for me before retreating to his seat. I observed my surroundings once seated.
This is crazy. I thought this type of date only took place in the books or the movies.
Nicolas Sparks could write an entire chapter on this.
"Today's special will be Chicken Parmigiana with Creamy Polenta at the request of Mr. Bieber. What would you like to drink this afternoon?" David announced, awakening me from my thoughts.
Chicken what?
"What would you like?" Justin asked me.
"Whatever you're having," I answered, hoping he has a better taste for beverages than he does for women.
Who am I to deserve all this? All I did was apply for a job at Bieber Enterprises because I was booted off the NYU newspaper for being a graduate. I never did anything to prove to him my creditials to work so closely with him and we probably would have never been so close if I weren't Natalie's roomate.
She lended me her clothes, she forced me to go to that party and she brought him back to the apartment the next morning. I shivered at the thought.
"A Sweet Saki Cocktail for my first lady and I," he told David before he walked away into the cabin.
'My first lady.'
If he had fallen inlove with Marissa, or Isabella, or Natalie, or even the girls he's...fucked, they would be his first lady. They would be in this chair, enjoying this view with him. And they would well deserve to be. I've never met one of Justin's ex-sex partners but I'm sure they weren't Ugly Bettys if he were attracted to them sexually. Marissa could stand as an example.
'Of course, all of Justin's former assistants work there.'
Isabella's words bounced back into my mind. I might meet one of these lucky women during work.
Even better for my self esteem.
I wonder why he and Natalie didn't do anything with eachother the night of the office party. Was it because he kissed me that night?
"Baby, you're scaring me," Justin said, his eyes full of concern and worry. "I wish I knew what you were thinking."
"You do most of the time," I stated, hoping it lessen his worry. It didn't. The concern was still evident.
"Out of sheer luck, Amelia. Baby, what's wrong?"
"Nothing, I'm just -- This is all so unbelievable," I mumbled, twirling the charm bracelet on my wrist.
"I don't believe you," he bluntly replied.
"How sweet," I joked, a ghost of a smile in my lips. His demeanor remained the same.
Oh, please loosen up on me, Justin.
"You weren't thinking about leaving me, were you?"
"No..." I replied softly knowing full and well if I were to endeavor deeper into my thoughts, I would have.
"Please don't. I love you," his voice cracked. "This is all for you. I stayed up all night thinking of ways I could prove my love for you. Like I told you, sex is all I know but we're obviously not ready for that yet. Trust me when I say I need you and I'll wait for you, I will."
There's that word again. Trust.
"I told you already. I trust you," I aggravatedly stated with a sigh. "I don't want to rehash this argument again."
"I never want to argue with you," he said quietly murmured. I laughed but immediately stopped when he looked into my eyes. They were filled with confusion.
"Things aren't going to be perfect," I explained.
"But you are," he said confidently.
I wanted to laugh once more, this time louder and so hard that I would fall out of my chair but I held back, knowing now was not the time.
Me? Please.
"You have me mistaken for some Greek goddess, Justin."
"Funny because I always thought girls like you only existed in myths."
I pursed my lips. How can he be so serious about this. Does he hear himself right now?
"You barely know me," I mumbled.
"But somehow I fell in love with you. Funny how that works, huh?" He said, a hint of amusement finally touching his eyes.
"Imagine my surprise when you basically admitted it to Natalie's father," I said with a light giggle. The amusement was gone.
"You do believe me when I tell you nothing happened between her and I, right?"
I nodded. I mean, I never really questioned it after he told me he loved me. I doubt he would do something like that while in love with me. I just thank the Man above that Natalie and I are no longer roommates.
"I would love vocal assurance," he said with an eyebrow raised.
"Yes, Justin. I completely believe you," I announced. He smiled.
"Good. I love you."
I returned his smile as David returned with our cocktails. It looked so foreign. It was purple in color, blueberries were floating on top and a slice of pineapple was placed on the rim of the glass.
"Thank you, David," Justin told him. He nodded his head at both of us and I smiled at him as he walked away.
"To me finding the perfect woman," Justin smirked while lifting his glass.
"And to me being in possession of a dysfunctional man," I joked as we clinked glasses.
