Hello again! ♥ Well... I'd written this about a month ago, before creating this book. I should have posted earlier, but I didn't have the time. Anyway, hope you like it! ♥♥

You can't imagine this pain if you haven't lived it. Being tortured is terrible, but when someone tortures a person you love in front of your eyes is a new level of pain. It is a nightmare. It is a fire that burns you alive, minute by minute. You wish you were dead so you wouldn't see that. You want to die.

With his hair messed and his eyes red and puffy, Loki lifted his head up, holding his breath, and his heart lost a beat. "Please, stop!" he begged, trying to unchain himself, but it was useless.
Y/N was tied on a table in front of him, with a cloth put on her face. A man was standing in front of her, with a decanter of water. He spilt the liquid on the cloth and Y/N began convulsing and coughing.
"PLEASE, STOP IT!" screamed Loki.
The man removed the cloth from Y/N's face and looked at her disdainfully.
"Enough for today", said he and untied her.
Y/N wanted to stand up and punch the man more than anything, but she didn't have the strength. The man walked towards the door and opened it.
"Why don't you just kill us?" asked Loki, exhaustion being clearly visible in his eyes. The man just smirked ironically and left the room, shutting the door behind him.
Loki fell on the floor and hid his eyes on his knees. This was his fault. He and Y/N were sent to collect information by the Avengers. But things didn't go like they wanted to and they were caught because of him. And they lived this for three whole months. Y/N was tortured, and Loki was chained in this dark corner, watching... The man who was torturing them knew that they were not useful to him. He did that for fun. For him, all this was a joke. But, for Loki, this joke hurt intolerably much. And here they were now, barely alive by living with leftovers, tortured, skinny and hungry.
Y/N coughed and breathed in and out.
"I'm sorry", he exhaled, "I'm sorry Y/N". His eyes were full of tears.
Y/N moved slightly. "It's alright... We'll g-... we'll get off... this pl-... place...", said Y/N, still coughing and trying to clear her voice.
"We're here for three months and no one has found us. You live this every day for three months. I can't keep seeing this every single day. I probably would have killed myself if I didn't love you".
Y/N stood up and approached him. Her hair and face were wet and her eyes red and tired. "I know", she said as she sat next to him and kissed his lips softly.
Before this martyrdom began, Loki hadn't told Y/N about his feelings. But, when they were taken hostages, he had believed that they would die there and had to tell her; she had to know. Strangely, she felt the same. And, since then, they didn't hide their feelings. They only had each other after all.
"I have that thing again", said Y/N, "That urge to have sex with you".
Loki gave her a constrained smile.
"I've told you a million times, darling, we can't. Not here. Not now. If we ever get out of here... well, then I owe you hanky-panky".
She laughed slightly and kissed him again. Loki's whole body shivered when she licked his neck. He let out a soft moan.
"Come on... you want this too", Y/N whispered in his ear.
"We... we can't... I can't... What if... what if I get you pregnant? I can't risk that!" he said, trying not to give in. Sometimes it could be so hard to hold his body down.
"Nothing will happen just once"
"You can't know that. Please, this is for your own sake. And, yes, I want this too, but I mostly want to get us out of here".
Y/N didn't talk. She only leaned her head on his shoulder and put her hand in his own. Oh, if only she knew what he was thinking... His eyes looked so sad and dark –as if he was lost in an abyss.
Loki's body was skinny and pale. His hands chained with his neck, his feet and the wall, were cold and wounded. Y/N had seen him many times trailing his palms on the scruffy wall, flaying his skin while screaming in despair.
"We have to do something", said he, "We can't keep waiting for someone to come and save us. The Avengers probably think that we're dead; we can't rely on them... what have we been waiting for all this time?"
Y/N didn't talk.
"Can you make me a favour?" he asked then.
"What?"
"When he comes again, you'll punch him as hard as you can. Will you do this for me?"
"Punch him? But he has a gun-"
"Exactly. Try to take it from him or, at least, try to make it discernible for me".
"Alright".
They stayed on the floor for hours, until the sound of the key unlocking the door sounded.
"Ready?" whispered Loki.
Y/N stood up as a response.
"Food!" the man called and entered the room.
What he didn't expect, though, was seeing Y/N rushing towards him and punching him hard. He grabbed her hair and pushed her down. Y/N's fingers wrapped his jacket and threw it on the floor, revealing the gun.
Loki stood up and looked at the weapon completely focused. He was grateful for having the power of telekinesis. The next second, the gun was in his hands.
"Y/N!" he screamed. The woman fell on the ground and Loki fired towards their abductor. The bulled was buried right in his head and their enemy finally fell dead on the floor.
Y/N ran towards Loki.
"Shoot in the lockers!" said he, giving her the gun, "Carefully". She took it and did what he said, finally setting him free from his bonds.
Loki took her hand and they ran together out of the house. The sky was dark and the wind was chilling. He looked around and saw a woman walking on the pavement.
"Excuse me, madam!" he called, running towards her, dragging Y/N behind him, "Do you have a phone? It's urgent."
The woman looked at them in curiosity. She brought her mobile phone out of her bag and gave it to Loki. The God of Mischief dialled a number and put the phone on his ear.
"Avengers headquarters", sounded the well-known voice of Tony Stark.
"Stark, it's me".
"L-Loki...?"
"Yes. I'm with Y/N. We're in terrible condition. You should come and take us as soon as possible. Can you trace the call?"
"Done. What kind of genius would I be if I couldn't?"
"Stop being smarty-pants, we need help! And call the police".
"Alright, stay exactly where you are!" said Tony and hung up.
"I'm eternally grateful, madam!" said Loki, giving the phone back to its owner. She smiled kindly and left, giving them a last curious look before doing so.
Y/N and Loki sat on the pavement and waited. The police came and they showed them the body of the man. A policeman took them outside and brought out a notepad.
"Who shot him?" asked he.
"I did", Loki replied.
"You might be in trouble, man. You are totally justified, but..."
"It won't be the first time. Only troubles last forever".
The sound of tyres screeching was heard. Tony Stark got out of his car, accompanied by Thor.
"Loki! Y/N!" called Thor in excitement.
"Don't even dare", said Loki when his brother attempted to hug him.
They stayed there some time. Before they left, the police told them that "the case is in progress" and that, when it would be close, Loki "must attend the jury to testify". Of course, he would "probably not be condemned", but "it is pro-forma". Then, they got in the car and Tony began driving.
"You know, Mr Mischief, we have a tiny problem. You... don't have a house...!" said Tony.
"I don't have a... what?"
"Nobody had been paying the rent and the owner was pissed. Y/N's house is still hers though".
"You can come to my place then", suggested Y/N.
"Yeah, why not? I have a promise to keep after all".
"What promise?"
Loki leaned towards her and whispered in her ear:
"I owe you hanky-panky, did you forget?"
