3rd POV
On the mountain, Lord Garmadon and the Overlord stood in front of the Celestial Clock as teh time counts down.
Overlord: The clock is only hours away from finishing its countdown to the final battle between good and evil, Garmadon. Why so sad?
Lord Garmadon: Me? Sad? Ha! Nonsense. I couldn't be happier. It's just...
Overlord: Lloyd.
Lord Garmadon: I still have to battle my son and his friend in order to transform Ninjago into my image.
Overlord: Battle and defeat, if evil is to prevail.
Lord Garmadon looked at the clock and turned around, walking down the mountain back to camp.

Kai's POV
Me: Order up! Coconut cream pie. Served well done.
The coconut was launched and I used my elemental sword, shooting fire at it as it exploded. Jay groaned while the rest of us were laughing.
Zane: It is good to have our powers back.
Jay: Yup, you're right. And since we've all been working on our witty quips to follow every cool thing we do, I'd say we've got this final battle in the bag. Or should I say....
Cole launched another coconut into the air while Jay took his weapon out.
Jay: I'd be shocked if we lose.
Jay electrocuted the coconut, laughing as it exploded.
Sensei: Enough!
We all stopped and looked up at Sensei.
Sensei: Are you trying to reveal our hidden location?
Jay put his sword away while I scratched the back of my neck.
Me: Sorry, Sensei. We were just practicing our cool new elemental blades.
Jay: And our witty quips.
Sensei: Be wary of overconfidence, ninja. While it is true your powers can defeat the Stone Army, only Lloyd and (Y/N) has the power to defeat Garmadon. When it is over, then we will see who laughs last.
All: Yes, Sensei.
(Y/N)'s POV
I watched Zane's dad repairing the falcon beside Lloyd.
Zane's Dad: Every cog, every gear is important. If one piece is missing, or out of place, the invention wouldn't work. Come now, little one. Time to fly.
The falcon flew into the air and I smiled.
Sensei: It is like you ninja. You each serve very important roles, and are key parts to a magnificent fighting force.
Lloyd: If we're all gears, what if I'm the gear that doesn't work? What if I don't do my part. What if I can't defeat my father along side (Y/n)?
I looked at Lloyd worriedly and grabbed his hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. He squeezed back in response.
Sensei: What if there are no more "What if's"? The final battle is almost upon us. When that time comes, we will know the answer to what if, whether we like it or not.
Nya and Misako walk up to us.
Nya: Lloyd, I know that you don't want to face your father, but there isn't any other choice.
Misako: Perhaps there is. I used to think it was inevitable, but then I found this.
Cole: You mean maybe Lloyd and (Y/N) doesn't have to fight? This I gotta hear.
We turned around to see the boys coming up from behind.
Misako: The scrolls say that when the Helmet of Darkness is bequeathed to its rightful ruler, the celestial clock will count down to the activation of an unspeakable weapon. The first sign that the final battle between good and evil has begun.
Kai: Did you just say unspeakable weapon?
Jay: Uh, I'm still stuck on what "bequeathed" means.
Cole: Go on, Misako. Don't let us interrupt you. How do we stop the final battle?
Misako: There is nothing here that explains what would happen if the Helmet of Darkness is returned.
Sensei: Interesting. Remove the helmet, the clock starts.Put it back, the clock stops.
Me: And the final battle never starts.
I smiled up at Lloyd, who smiled back.
Jay: Bequeathed, anyone? Is anyone going to help me out here with that?
Kai: That sounds great and all, and I know we have our new powers, but you expect us to get past his whole army of stone warriors and pluck the helmet off of his head?
Nya: My brother is right. They're good, but they're not that good.
Misako: I know. And that is why I am going to do it. I'll just need a little help.
Misako brought the guys to the side. I was worried of what she meant. I was about to see what they were talking about, bringing Lloyd with me when Sensei stopped us.
Sensei: I'm sorry, you two.
I heard Lloyd groan.
Sensei: This mission isn't for you.
Lloyd: But we're powered up, we can help.
Sensei: We mustn't let you and your father come face to face yet. We're trying to prevent the final battle, not welcome it.
Lloyd: Yes, Sensei.
I patted Lloyd's shoulder in comfort.
Me: But Sensei doesn't it require the two of us to be face to face with Lord Garmadon to start the final battle? Can he at least watch the boys help his mother and be there if anything goes wrong? I can stay back to make sure I don't get involved and help out with whatever is needed to be done here.
Sensei: That can work but we can't risk it. We need the both of you here safe and in sight.
Me: I understand.
Sensei walked turned away as Lloyd gave me a squeeze.
Lloyd: Thanks for trying anyways, (Y/N) but he's right it's for the best.
I nodded. We turned to see that the boys and Misako about to go. We walked up to them. I gave the guys a hug.
Me: You guys be careful and good luck.
Kai: Don't you worry, (Y/N). We will be perfectly fine.
Kai rubs my head, messing my hair up. I smiled at him, giggling. I grabbed his wrist and got his hand off of my head. He gave me a smile. I glanced at Lloyd and Misako hugging. Kai and Misako turned around and started walking away to do their plan.

3rd POV
Back at the camp, Lord Garmadon was walking beside General Kozu.
Kozu: To combat the ninjas' new power, we have honored your request to step up our defenses.
Kozu showed Lord Garmadon the new vehicles and Lord Garmadon rubbed his hands together.
Lord Garmadon: Heh-heh-heh. I like what I see.
Lord Garmadon was laughing when the Overlord came.
Overlord: Why build your forces, when all of your attention should be on completing the ultimate weapon?
Lord Garmadon: What good is an ultimate weapon if I'm not around to use it? Do not question my motives!
Overlord: It's not your motives I question but your resolve. I fear you're hesitating as the hours count down to facing your son.
Lord Garmadon frowned.
Overlord: So it is true.
Lord Garmadon: Never doubt my evil again! Not if you wish to remain my ally when I rule!
He turned to the soldiers.
Lord Garmadon: Get back to building the ultimate weapon! And do not stop until it is complete!
The warriors started running to work on it.
Overlord: Yes. Now there is the Garmadon I am counting on.
Out in the front gate, the ninja were disguised as stone warriors with Misako tied up. Jay knocked on the door and it opened. They walked in when Misako grunted, pretended to struggle.
Misako: Unhand me, you fiends!
The door closed behind them, making Jay jump. A stone warrior walked up to them speaking in their foreign language, yelling.
Cole: Uh, what did he say?
Kai: I don't know.
Zane: I believe it is an ancient language.
Cole: Well, somebody say something. Uh, bada-bada, bing-bing!
Kai: Cheap-cheap, chit-ta-ta!
Zane: Tick tock, tick tock.
Jay: Bequeath, bequeath, bequeath.
Stone warrior: Huh?
Misako: That's right, you caught me. But I'll never tell you where our base is. And you won't hear another peep out of me, unless you take me to Garmadon.
The warrior growled and Misako gasped. The warrior grabbed her, bringing her to Garmadon. Garmadon was sleep when light shined on his face.
Lord Garmadon: I said that I was not to be disturbed.
Kozu: Forgive me, my lord, but we have a prisoner who knows the whereabouts of your son's rebel base.
Misako came from behind into Lord Garmadon's view.
Lord Garmadon: Misako!
Misako: It's been a while.
Lord Garmadon: I, uh...
Lord Garmadon clears his throat.
Lord Garmadon: Release her.
Kozu: Yes, sir.
General Kozu cut the ropes with his sword and left. Misako walked up to Lord Garmadon that held his four arms together nervous.
Misako: Take off that silly helmet. Let me get a good look at you.
Misako was about to grab the helmet but Lord Garmadon flinched away.
Lord Garmadon: If you don't mind, I'd rather not.
Kai's POV
Zane: How about this? It's "ice" to see you.
Jay: I feel like you could do better.
Cole: I swear I've heard that before.
I sigh.
Me: Ugh, I feel like a clunky mule in this thing.
A warrior started speak to us in his ancient language.
Me: Uh, is he talking to us?
Zane: I think he wants us to get working.
The warrior spoke louder, making us jump onto our feet and get going.
Jay: Bequeath, bequeath, bequeath.
Zane: Tick-tock, polly wock.
We were talking gibberish as we hopped away.
3rd POV
Lord Garmadon: So you know where our son is hiding, but I suspect you won't give him up that easily.
Lord Garmadon walked towards the wall and swiftly grabbed a sword.
Lord Garmadon: I know you too well, Misako. Why did you allow yourself to get caught?
Misako: Because I know you don't want to fight as much as Lloyd doesn't want to fight.
Lord Garmadon: Lloyd doesn't wan to fight? Uh, I mean....So Lloyd doesn't want to fight?
Lord Garmadon chuckles.
Misako: If you're still the man I once loved, I know you'd never want to see him harmed.
Lord Garmadon: But it is foretold. It is our destiny. I don't care about him. I only care about turning Ninjago into my own image.
Misako: Then you're not the man I married. I should go.
Lord Garmadon: No! Don't.
Lord Garmadon took off his helmet.
Lord Garmadon: Misako, I may look different, and evil may now course through my veins, but I am still the same man standing before you. I want you to rule by my side.
Kai's POV
Jay: Aw, man! No matter how many bad situations we get ourselves out of, we never to be able to escape chore!
We were walking up a hill to see that they were building something.
Cole: What is that thing?
Zane: It must be the unspeakable weapon Misako was talking about.
Cole: Look guys, an elevator! Sweet!
Cole was walking towards the elevator but was stopped by general Kozu.
Cole: relax, relax, relax. Forget it. Sheesh. What is wrong with these guys?
I looked over to see a huge tube, something for a cannon.
Me: I don't know about you, but that just looked like some sort of massive cannon.
Zane: What do you suppose it's for?
Jay: Oh, I don't know. How about to destroy us?
A warrior walked up to Cole, speaking his native language and smacked him with a bamboo stick.
Cole: Hey, why don't you bonk someone your own size, half-stack!
Cole kicked him off of the construction and the other warriors looked up.
Cole: That guys seriously had it coming.
We decided that now was the time to reveal ourselves.
All: Ninja, go!
The guards started to run up towards up, letting out a battle cry. Zane ran in front of us.
Zane: At least we get to break the ice!
Zane made ice appear underneath them that made them slip off. I walked up behind him and laid a hand on his shoulder.
Me: Ha-ha! Nice one, Zane.
Jay: Now, you're cooking with some gas.
Jay saw warriors coming from the elevator.
Jay: Or should I say, electricity!
He strike them and the elevator went down with the warriors electrocuted.
Jay: Going down?
Cole: Save some lines for us, Jay.
Cole: I wouldn't want us to bowl over the competition.
Cole tried swinging to hit the warriors but he missed, resulting him to smack into barrels.
Me: Let's get Misako and get out of here.
We used our Spinjitsu to attack.
3rd POV
Lord Garmadon sighs.
Lord Garmadon: Misako, I'm glad you finally understand me. Not many people do, you see.
Lord Garmadon had his back facing Misako as she saw her chance. She began slowly walking towards the helmet he took off.
She was about to have her hands on it when Lord Garmadon groans.
Lord Garmadon: Being evil these days is really unappreciated. But you...I always knew I could count on you.
Misako grabbed the helmet and ran out of the tent. The alarm wailed when she left, alerting Lord Garmadon.
Lord Garmadon turned around to see Misako and the helmet gone.
Lord Garmadon: You deceived me!? Stop her!
Misako regrouped with the Ninja as the guards were after them.
Zane: You got the helmet!
Misako: And you got spotted!
Jay: Cole gave us away.
Cole: I had a rough day. Can we stop laying blame, and focus on what's in front of us?
Kai: Maybe we should worry about what's behind us.
They turned around to be meet with a huge robot with Garmadon inside.
Lord Garmadon: Cut them down to size.
He crackled manically. The robot swung its sword down and the Ninja with Misako screamed, jumping out of the way. The sword was stuck and Lord Garmadon grunted, trying to get it out of the ground.
Misako: If we do not return the helmet before the clock strikes zero, we won't be able to prevent the final battle.
Jay: Don't worry, I'm on top of it!
Jay jumped towards the robot and grabbed the sword, which was swung upwards, making Jay fly. He screamed, coming back down and the robot caught him and threw him.
Jay: Oh, maybe not. Unh.
Cole: Didn't his mama ever teach him, "The bigger they are, the harder they fall"?
Lord Garmadon laughs as Cole slammed his sword to the ground, trying rocks at him but Lord Garmadon blocked each one with the sword.
Cole: Oh, apparently she did.
Kai was next. He grabbed his sword out and charged head on. He tried making a fire barrier but Lord Garmadon went through it without a problem.
Lord Garmadon: Bye-bye!
Lord Garmadon punched Kai back to the group.
Kai: Ugh. Well, we better think of something fast, because....I'm out of lines! Hey!
The Ninja's vehicle came from the ground and everyone moved out of the way.
Jay: Whoa, it's Nya!
Nya went straight to Lord Garmadon and pushed him back before going back to the others.
Nya: Hey, guys!
Jay: How did you know that we needed you?
Nya: (Y/N) had a vision about you being in trouble so I came after confirming it on the falcon above you.
They looked up to see the falcon flying directly above them.
Nya: Get in!
They jumped into the vehicle.
Nya: Hang on!
Nya drove back into the hole when Lord Garmadon got up. The stone warriors and Lord Garmadon looked into the hole.
Lord Garmadon: Don't just stand there! Get them!
The warriors jumped into their own vehicles following the Ninja.
Overlord: You fool! You let them get away with the helmet!? Don't you realize if they put it on, they will control the army?
Lord Garmadon: I'll see to it personally. It's my turn.
The Ninja continued to drive with the stone warriors not to far back. Jay held the helmet and examined it.
Jay: Heh. Cool hat. I wonder if it'll make me more menacing.
Jay put on the helmet.
Nya: Is that really wise? If that helmet turns you evil, we're kicking you out.
Jay: Uh, is that possible? Uh, it's probably got Garmadon cooties anyways.
Sensei appeared on the screen.
Sensei [Over video]: Did we get the helmet?
Nya: We did, and we're all accounted for.
Sensei [Over video]: Then let's rendezvous at the clock.
Jay: It's so dark in here.
Jay began pressing buttons beside him.
Jay: One of these have got to be a light switch.
Suddenly, a stone warrior jumped onto the vehicle, scaring Jay and startling the others.
Kai: Uh, sis, can we go any faster?
Nya: We're going as fast as we can.
Cole: We're definitely not going fast enough.
The vehicle behind them pushed, making everyone but Nya scream. Nya pulled a lever that made them slightly fast and brought them back to the surface as three of the stone warriors vehicles were trailing behind.
Jay: We're losing them!
Kai cheers.
Zane: Excellent!
Nya: Awesome!
However, their victory was short lived as they spotted Lord Garmadon running behind them in the robot.
Zane: Uh, oops.
Lord Garmadon: You won't get away from me again, Misako.
Nya: Hang on!
Nya made a sharp turn into the bamboos, cutting right through them as Lord Garmadon continued to chase them. Nya kept making sharp turns to get rid of him.
Nya: Did we loose him yet?
Kai: Not quite!
Lord Garmadon caught up to them and grabbed the vehicle. The alarms were wailing inside while Lord Garmadon shook it. Then, he threw it. Nya tried getting the window open but it was stuck. Lord Garmadon grabbed them again.
Cole: I think I'm gonna be sick.
Lord Garmadon: I finally have you Ninja in the palm of my hand.
Lord Garmadon switched them to his other hand when he heard someone yell.
Lloyd: Let them go!
A beam of green shot at him. Lord Garmadon let go of the Ninja, falling backwards. As the window open, they looked at Lloyd, who ran into the clearing.
Nya: Lloyd, be careful.
Lloyd watched as his father got out of his contraption injured and walked up to him.
Jay: Holy cannoli, Lloyd and Garmadon in a face-off!
Kai: Where's (Y/N)?
Misako: In order for the final battle to happen, (Y/N) and Lloyd have to face Garmadon together so I believe she's going to meet us at the top with Sensei Wu to delay the fight.
Jay: Either way, take the shot, Lloyd!
Cole: He's vulnerable!
Zane: Do not hesitate!
Kai: Strike now!
Lloyd looked at them then back to his father, who met him half way.
Lord Garmadon coughed.
Lloyd: I'm sorry, Father. You leave me with no choice. It is our destiny.
Lloyd created his energy orb as Lord Garmadon looked at him with saddened eyes. Lloyd looked at him father and couldn't do it, seeing his father look down. He panted, upset.
Jay: No! What is he doing?
Misako looked to the side to see the stone warriors coming and told the others. While the army came into sight, Lloyd looked at his father to see him laughing.
Misako: Lloyd, we need to move!
Nya: We have to meet (Y/N) at the clock that is not far from here.
Lloyd: Okay!
Lloyd jumped into the vehicle and they dived into the ground.
Sensei and (Y/N) were by the clock, looking out for the others in worry.
(Y/N): Do you think they're okay? They should be here right now.
Sensei looked over at her.
Sensei: Have some faith in them, (Y/N). They'll be here shortly.
Speaking f the devils, our vehicle came from the ground in front of us. Sensei smiled at (Y/N) in a "I told you' kind of way.
Nya stared at the clock.
Nya: Wow. This clock is a mechanical masterpiece.
Everyone jumped out and (Y/N) saw Lloyd incredibly conflicted. She walked over to him, grabbing his hand comfortingly. He gave her a small smile. They walked closer to the clock. Misako glanced at Nya.
Misako: You're welcome to dismantle it once we stop it.
Jay: There's only a couple of minutes left!
Misako: Everyone, look for the helmet's perch! It could be anywhere.
Lloyd and (Y/N) let go of each others hands as they began looking for the perch.
Sensei: You don't know how to return the helmet?
Misako: It has a resting place somewhere.
Misako tried a place by it did nothing as the time continued to count down.
Misako: Oh, that didn't work.
Misako climbed up the clock with the helmet. (Y/N) did the same and looked around.
Misako: Maybe here.
Zane: Perhaps I've found the perch!
Misako threw the helmet to Zane, who set it down but with no prevail.
Jay: Oh! What about me?
He tried once again no luck.
Sensei: Could this be the place?
Jay threw it to Sensei but Sensei was pushed by General Kozu, who caught it. Everyone was still on the ground, while (Y/N) was still on the clock.
General Kozu: There's only 30 seconds left. I believe it's time to die---
The helmet was taken away but part of the clock and was now at the top. (Y/N) immediately started going after it with warriors behind. Lloyd watched in worry.
Misako: (Y/N) make sure they don't get it and look for the perch!
(Y/N) nodded and grabbed the helmet right before the warrior was about to. She punched him off and began to looked around hastily. She looked down and found it.
Me: The helmet's perch....
Sensei: There's only 10 second left, (Y/N)! Hurry!
(Y/N) jumped down to it's level as warriors began to run towards her but the Ninja held them back and set it down before the final tick. The clock stopped moving and completely shut down.
General Kozu: No!
Lloyd: (Y/N) did it!
Nya: We did it!
(Y/N) let out a breath and smiled as everyone cheered. Nya and Kai hugged while the soldiers groaned. Misako and Sensei held hands and Zane and Jay high fived each other.
But that stopped when the clock began to move again. The horns were blaring as (Y/N) got off of it and looked at it in horror with wide eyes.
Sensei: No!
General Kozu laughed.
Misako: The Horns of Destruction. We're too late.
Lloyd was immediately by (Y/N)'s side and brought her closer to him.
Lord Garmadon was where he was left when he heard the horns.
Lord Garmadon: Overlord, what has happened?
Overlord: It has started.
Lord Garmadon gasped.
The celestial clock released a beam that connected the other parts as the Ninja watched in worry.
The beam was shot above Lord Garmadon.
Lord Garmadon: What is that thing?
Lloyd held (Y/N) close, moving closer to the edge as the warriors came closer and closer towards everyone. The ground they were on broke away from Nya and the mountain. Nya screamed.
Jay: Nya!
Nya: Jay!
Kai: Sis!
General Kozu grabbed her from behind, making her scream.
Jay: Let her go!
General Kozu: Or what? You will make a big splash?
Cole: The ground.
The cliff completely broke away and everyone fell into the water, screaming. Lloyd hugged (Y/N) close to him to make her fall gentler.
General Kozu crackled at the sight. (Y/N) and Lloyd rose up to the surface, panting. Sensei and Kai helped them out of the water. They looked up to see the stone warriors looking down on them, keeping Nya as hostage as she screams.
Lloyd: This is all my fault. I should've taken the shoot.
(Y/N): No, it's my fault. If I was only faster, we could've stopped the clock.
Cole grabbed the two's shoulder, looking at them straight in the eyes.
Cole: We're all at fault, guys. It's just the way the cookie crumbled.
Jay: Ah! Are you seriously making jokes? They have Nya and you're making jokes?
Jay tackled Cole to the ground.
Cole: It was just a poor choice of words!
Jay was about to punch him.
Sensei: Enough! We have lost enough! We don't need to lose focus.
Kai: Forget focus, we have to get my sister.
Misako: By the time we get back up there, they'll be gone. We will get your sister, but the clock has reached a zero, and the final battle could start at any moment. We must head back to the Bounty to get prepared, so that next time, you will not hesitate.
Everyone moved out of the way so that she said it directly at Lloyd as (Y/N) held his hand.
Sensei: Come on, Lloyd. Let's go home. You'll get your chance.
Lloyd and (Y/N) squeezed each other hands and gave each other a side hug as they walked back. Jay looked up to see Nya getting dragged away by the army.
Meanwhile, Lord Garmadon was following the beam.
Overlord: Behold, the ultimate weapon. I give you Garma-Tron!
Lord Garmadon: It's more beautiful than I could ever imagine!
Lord Garmadon and Overlord crackled as the weapon was finally finished with the beam's light surrounding it.
