Prepare for a cute chapter, I added a couple flashbacks to when Sweet Pea and Betty were kids ❤️
Sweet Pea POV:
I was sitting in my office finishing off some work when I saw Betty walk in with a bright smile.
Sweet Pea: hey Princess. I say with a smile. I tap my lap, gesturing for her to come and sit.
She walks up to me and happily takes a seat on my lap. She wraps her arms around my neck and placed a soft and warm kiss on my lips.
Betty: what ya doing? She asked.
Sweet Pea: just a little bit of work. I say to her. She nods her head.
Sweet Pea: how about you gorgeous, what are you up to? I asked her.
Betty: nothing, I'm bored without you. She says with a pout.
Sweet Pea: I know bub, but I'll be done here soon. We can do whatever you want. I say making her smile.
Betty: remember that we're going to your dads house later. She reminds me. I nod my head.
We haven't caught up with our parents or Jellybean in real life for about 3 weeks. I've tried to make everything stress free for Betty. I know how much Betty loves Jellybean but Jellybean is going to be hectic about all this baby stuff. I wanted to spare Betty for a while.
Sweet Pea: do you want to stay here with me while I finish up? I asked her. She nodded her head eagerly. I smile and kissed her head. She cuddled up into me and I couldn't feel any happier.
I had been doing work for about half an hour when I noticed Betty's eyes had closed and she had a soft expression on her face.
I wrapped my arms under her thighs and upper back so I could carry her up to our room. As I did that she moved her hand onto mine.
Betty: I want to stay here with you. She whispered with her eyes still closed.
Sweet Pea: are you sure Princess? I asked. She nodded her head against my chest and I let her rest.
I look at the small frame resting on me and I couldn't help but admire the girl I love. I am so proud of my baby girl. She's such an amazing and beautiful person who is carrying our child. I'm still in shock that she's pregnant. The day I found out, all the pain I felt went away and was replaced with pure happiness. There's going to be a mini Betty running around the house, or mini me, I feel sorry for Betty if that's true.
I can't wait to hold our baby in my arms and to give both Betty and our baby my undying love. I could never love anyone more then I'll love those two. They're both my angels.
I soon finished up working and I picked Betty up. This time she didn't wake up. I take her upstairs and gently lay her on our bed. I get in next to her and cuddle up into her.
Looking at her, that beautiful face of hers. I have a life that so many people wish they could. I was given the honour of having the girl I love the most. I'm having a child with the girl I've pictured my whole life with.
Not everyone gets to have what I have. I am so grateful for the life I've very fortunately been given. I'm content with life, everything has worked out, life is perfect in other words.
I placed one last kiss on her head as I felt my eyes become heavier. I let my eyes close and slumber take over my body.

I was rudely awoken by the sound of my phone going off. I slowly unwrap my arms from Betty, making sure not to wake up my sleeping beauty.
I pick up my phone and check the caller id, it was Jellybean. She probably wanted to know when we're coming over. We never really set a time, we just said late afternoon.
( Sweet Pea and Jellybean on the phone )
Sweet Pea: Jellybean, what's up? I asked her.
Jellybean: when are you and Betty going to be here? She asked. I let out a little chuckle in knowing that I was right.
Sweet Pea: probably in about an hour and a half. She's a sleep right now. I say.
Jellybean: well anyway try to be quick. Bye bro.
Sweet Pea: bye Jellybean. I say while ending the call.

Ever since Betty had become pregnant me and Jellybean have become closer, mainly because I didn't want Jellybean annoying Betty so I sacrificed myself instead.
I know I'm hard on Jellybean but she is my sister and in the end I love her, even if she's a monster.
I put my phone down as I noticed Betty's eyes start to open.
Sweet Pea: I'm sorry, did I wake you up baby? I asked. She shakes her head no.
Sweet Pea: did you rest well? I asked her.
Betty: yeah. She says while clinging to my side.
Sweet Pea: do you want to start getting ready to leave? I asked. She nodded her head.
I helped her up and we walked into our wardrobe. I had my arms resting around her waist and my head leaning on her shoulder as we figured out what we were going to wear.
I picked out at white shirt and a pair of sweatpants. Betty chose out a black and white stripped shirt, she also chose a loose fitting pair of pants.
We both got changed, me obviously being faster then her. As of recently I've noticed as her stomach looked a little bigger. It's so unbelievable.
As she was about to put her shirt on I stopped her and placed my hand on her stomach. She looked up to me and smiled.
Sweet Pea: I love you and this baby so much. I say while placing a kiss on her nose. She smiles and rests her head on my chest.
Betty: I love you too, and our baby so much. I'm so happy Sweet Pea. She says.
Sweet Pea: so am I Princess. I saw while placing a kiss on her head.
We stayed wrapped up in each other's embrace for a little longer, enjoying the moment. It was just us, plus the baby.
We slowly leaned out of the embrace and I put her shirt on over her head. I kissed her cheek and took her hand in mine. We walked downstairs together and into the car. I closed her door then walked to my side.
I hoped in and she instantly connected our hands. I raised our hands to my lips and placed a kiss on her hand. She smiles widely.
We began our descent off to my dads house and for Betty's sake and sanity, I drove the speed limit, everything felt so slow.
Betty: aww, look at you, going the speed limit. You're going soft. She says with a chuckle.
Sweet Pea: I'm always going to be soft for you. I say. Out of the corner of my eyes I could see her blush.
Sweet Pea: you're beautiful. I say only making her blush grow a deeper shade of red.
I gently began to caress my thumb over her palm. She's my beautiful girl.
We shortly arrive at my fathers house and I could see that Hal's bike was parked outside, meaning that he was already here.
I park and turn off the engine. I get out and walk to Betty's side. I open up her door and offer my hand to help her out. She gladly takes my hand and steps out of the car.
We walk up to the door and I press the doorbell. My arm was wrapped around Betty's back. Jellybean opened the door and had a giant smile on her face. She greeted both me and Betty with hugs.
We walked to the patio outside and we all said hi's to our parents.
It's good being able to catch up with them all. We talked about the Serpents and a lot about the baby.
It made me so happy seeing how excited they all are for the baby to arrive. Hal and my father were both over the moon to be grandpas, they're already offering to babysit.
Jellybean: when do you find out if it's a boy or girl? She asked.
Sweet Pea: in about 2 weeks. I say to her. She nods her head.
Hal POV:
It was so great being able to see the kids again.
I saw how happy Sweet Pea and Betty looked as they spoke about their baby. It couldn't help but remind me off when Alice was pregnant with Betty.
When I found out that Alice was pregnant with my pride and joy, it was the happiest day of my life, it will always be.
Betty is such a beautiful and sweet hearted girl. I couldn't have asked for a more intelligent daughter. I'll always be proud of her.
It's unbelievable as to how much she's grown up. I remember the day Betty was born. The first time I held her was the most magical. I held her tiny frame in my arms. Cradling her small body and looking at the beautiful girl in my arms gave me all the enjoy. My baby girl was perfect, she still is. I also remember as the first people that come to visit us were Fp and Sweet Pea, I wouldn't have wanted anyone else.
Seeing Sweet Pea hold Betty brought a smile to my face. Fp and I knew from that moment on that they were going to be best friends. We just didn't expect them to get this far, to be having a child of their own, but I couldn't be happier for them.
Ever since Betty was brought into this world she has had an impact on Sweet Pea, also the other way around.
Betty's first words were influenced by Sweet Pea. I honestly still can't believe what her firsts were.
~ Flashback ~
I was sitting in the lounge with Alice by my side and Fp sitting opposite us. In the middle of us were Sweet Pea and Betty playing on the floor.
It took us a while to explain to Sweet Pea why Betty couldn't respond to him when he talks.
As usual, Sweet Pea was rambling to Betty about the most random of things. Recently he's been talking to her about coco pops. That kid has a weird obsession.
As we continued to talk I noticed as she began to open her mouth as if she was going to speak. I wasn't the only one who noticed, we all did.
Betty: c-coco pops. She says with a smile. All of our jaws dropped, Sweet Peas reminded with a big smile.
Sweet Pea: yes. He says with a proud smile and gives her a hug.
The three of us couldn't help but laugh at the situation at hand. My daughters first words were coco pops.
Alice: I can't believe that was her first words. She says while looking at the two of them playing around with a toy block.
Hal: neither can I. I say.
Fp: I can't believe he's said the words to her so many time that she's remembered them. He says with a sigh.
We watched on as Sweet Pea said in audible babble that Betty seemed to understand.

So many memories of when they were both younger came flooding back to my mind.
~ Flashback ~
Fp and I were at my house, we had just finished discussing some Serpent related things as Sweet Pea and Betty walked through the door.
Hal: hey darling. I say to her while Fp greets Sweet Pea.
Betty: hey dad. She says with a smile as she walks to the fridge and gets herself and Sweet Pea a drink. She chucks it to him as she goes to take a seat next to him.
Betty: dad I want to join the soccer team. She says.
I wasn't surprised, she's always been a sporty person. Also because I know Sweet Pea is going to be joining the team. They do everything together
Hal: are you going to join the schools soccer club? I ask her. Of course she nods her head.
Hal: can I remind you to play nice? I say while raising an eyebrow.
Betty: I always play nice. She scoffs.
All of us raised an eyebrow at her.
Betty: what? She asked.
Although she's only eight she's a feisty and strong minded person.
When she was seven she was apart of the schools basketball team, as Sweet Pea was. They were in the middle of some match and one of the kids knocked her over. Instead of moving on she started a fight with the kid. She had to be pulled off him. It's safe to say she was kicked off the basketball team.
Sweet Pea: Betty you nearly killed a guy the last time you played a sport. He says to her. She rolls her eyes.
Betty: okay firstly it's not my fault that he pushed me. Also, he was in the way of my fist, he should have moved. She says confidently.
That's one thing my daughter will never lack, confidence.
Hal: well can you try to keep your fist to yourself? I say while raising an eyebrow.
Betty: I'm not making any promises. She mutters.
Hal: try. I warn her. She sighs.
Sweet Pea and Betty eventually go upstairs together and Fp turned to me.
Fp: she's definitely going to get into a fight. He says making us both chuckle.
Hal: definitely. I say while shaking my head playfully.
It was the next day, Betty and Sweet Pea had their tryouts during school hours.
It was nearing the end of their school day when I got a call from the school. I was in another meeting with Fp. He saw who the call was from and he let out a laugh.
Fp: she's fast. He says making me laugh.
I answer the call where they informed me that there was some argument between Betty and some guy, they ended up on the ground, Betty on top of him throwing punches until some guy pulled her off. I assumed that the guy would be Sweet Pea who pulled her off.
I ended the call and sighed.
Fp: what did they say? He asked.
Hal: she got into another fight. I say.
As I finished my sentence they both walked threw the door. Betty looked angry and it looked like Sweet Pea was trying to calm her down.
Hal: what happened today? I asked Sweet Pea. I knew Betty was to angry to talk.
Sweet Pea: well some guy said that Betty shouldn't be allowed to try out because she's a girl. She ignored it and did whatever the coach said. As we were in the middle of a game the coach wasn't looking and he pushed her over, that's how the fight started. Then I pulled her off him. He says casually, he's use to Betty being in fights. At this point we all are.
Betty: more like he's a sexist asshole- I immediately cut her off.
Hal: language. She looked at me and gave me the biggest eye role she could. I look at her and raise my eyebrow. She immediately cracked.
Betty: sorry. She says.
I walked up to where she was sitting and took a seat next to her.
Hal: are you okay? I asked her.
Betty: yeah. She says with a sigh. I place a kiss on her head.
Hal: please don't ask to join anymore sports. I say making everyone laugh.

Memories like those will always be my favourite. I'm also glad that over the years she reduced how many people she fought with.
~ Flashback ~
Betty was about 5 and Sweet Pea was 6.
They had been up in her room for about 3 hours while Fp and I were talking downstairs.
As we were talking we saw Betty and Sweet Pea coming downstairs, but in no ordinary way.
Sweet Pea was carrying her on his shoulder. Fp and I look at each other and let out a laugh.
Hal: what are you two doing? I asked while raising an eyebrow.
Betty: nothing. She giggles. Fp and I shake our heads with a smile.
Betty: can we go to the park? She asked me and Fp with a smile that she always uses to get her way.
Fp: why not? He says with a smile.
Both Fp and I stand up and we all walk out the door, Betty still remained on Sweet Pea's shoulder. She has everyone wrapped around her finger.
Hal: are you really going to carry her to the park? I asked Sweet Pea in disbelief.
Sweet Pea: yep. He says with a smile. He doesn't even notice that she's using him as a slave.
The kids walked a couple steps in front of us. Fp and I laughed at the way the kids acted around each other.
Fp: she has everyone wrapped around her finger, it's actually amazing. He says with a smirk.
Hal: she sure does. I have no idea how she does it. We both laugh.
We soon arrived at the park where Sweet Pea finally put her down and they ran to the swings. They both go on them and try to swing the highest.
They moved all around the park for 2 hours. Going up and down the slide, running around. I don't know how they have this much energy.
After about 2 hours and a bit they were ready to go back home. Once again she was on his shoulders as we began to leave the park. How does he still have energy?
We were only about 100 meters from the park when we heard the sound of an ice-cream truck. It was on the side of the road, handing out ice-cream to other kids.
Betty: can we have ice-cream daddy? She asked with a soft voice and a sweet smile.
She gets me all the time.
Hal: of course. I say with a smile. Fp laughs knowing that I could never say no to her.
Betty: thank you daddy! She says excitedly as we go to the ice-cream truck. I let out a little chuckle.
As we were waiting in line I looked to Betty who was still on his shoulders.
Hal: Betty get of him. I say to her.
Betty: why? She asked.
Hal: now. I say with a sterner voice.
Betty: fine. She groans and Sweet Pea helps her down.
We get the ice-cream and the kids scoffed it down. They eat like animals, no manners what so ever.
We arrived back home and they flop onto the couch.
Betty: we're hungry. She says with a whine.
Fp: you guys ate 20 minutes before we left and you had ice-cream, how the hell are you still hungry? He asked. They both shrug.
They both raided the fridge and pantry until they found what they wanted.
These kids are crazy.

~ Flashback ~
It was a warm summers night went I was awoken by gentle taps to my arm. I open my eyes and see that Betty was the reason for why I had awoken.
Hal: hey darling, why are you awake? I asked her softly while sitting up.
Betty: I don't feel well. She says with a cough.
Hal: lets go downstairs and I'll get you some medicine. She nods her head.
I pick her up and carry her on my side. She wraps her arms around my neck and rests her head on my shoulder. I walk downstairs and place her on the bench next to the fridge.
I pour some medicine onto a spoon and she quickly gulps it down, making a disgusted face as she swallowed it.
Betty: I still don't feel well. She says while looking up to me with sad eyes.
Hal: it will take about half an hour to work. I say softly to her while stroking her hair.
Hal: do you want me to take you to bed? I asked her. She shakes her head no.
Betty: can I sleep with you? She asked with a pout. I smile and nod my head.
Hal: of course darling. I say softly to her and she smiles.
I again pick her up and carry her to my room. I gently lie her down and tuck her under the covers. I get into bed next to her and she instantly wriggled closer to me. A smile formed on my lips. She reminds me so much of Alice.
Hal: good night darling. I say while placing a kiss on her head.
Betty: good night daddy. She say as she falls asleep.
The next morning I woke up with Betty closer to me then when we had fallen asleep. I let out a small chuckle. I slowly get out of bed, making sure not to wake her up. She needs all the rest she can get.
I quickly got changed and made myself some breakfast while I wait for Betty to get up, she's usually a morning person anyway.
As I waited I got a text from Fp saying that Sweet Pea was also sick. These two probably caught it from each other.
A couple minutes later I heard the sound of Betty's small feet walking down the stairs. Unlike usual she was slow and didn't race down the stairs. I could definitely tell that she still wasn't feeling well.
She walked into the kitchen and took a seat at the kitchen table.
Hal: still not feeling well? I asked. She nods her head.
I gave her some more medicine and gave her some toast. As she was eating she looked up to me.
Betty: can Sweet Pea come over today? She asked with a smile.
Hal: hun you're both sick, it's best if you stay apart for a while. She pouts.
Betty: please. She says with puppy eyes.
Hal: darling. I say and she sticks out her bottom lip.
Hal: fine. I say with a sigh. She smiles widely. I shake my head and place a kiss on her head.
I can't say no to her, no matter what. She's my little angel who can do know wrong.
I called Fp and it turns out Sweet Pea had been begging to see Betty as well, not that it really surprised me. These two would live together if that could.
They soon came over and they ran up to Betty's room.
Fp and I took a seat in the lounge and sighed.
Fp: these kids can't even go a day apart. He says making us both laugh.
It had been a couple hours and we hadn't seen them in a while so we decided to go upstairs and check up on them.
They were both laying on top of Betty's bed sleeping. Fp and I look at each other and laugh.
Sweet Pea had an arm wrapped around Betty and Betty's legs were sprawled out on top of him.
We walked back downstairs and let them have their rest.

So many beautiful memories of the kids, I can't wait for them to make their own memories because they are such amazing things to have.
It was coming to the end of the night and I was about to head home. I was saying goodbye to Betty and I couldn't be more happier knowing how happy she is.
Hal: I'm so happy for you darling. You're going to be an amazing mum. I say while placing a kiss on her cheek. She smiles.
Betty: thank you dad. I can't believe any of this. She says with a chuckle
Hal: well it's good seeing you so happy. I say while holding her hands in mine.
Betty: thank you, I really am happy. She says with the biggest smile and pulls me into a tight embrace. I chuckle and hold my daughter tight. I love her so much.
Betty POV:
We have finished up at Fp's house and we were heading back to our own.
We walked inside and we took off our shoes and coats.
Betty: tonight was great. I say with a smile as he wraps his arm around my back.
Sweet Pea: yeah it was. He says with a smile.
Betty: I love seeing how excited Fp and my dad are about being grandpas. I say making us both laugh.
Sweet Pea: and the fact that they've already offered to babysit. We both chuckle.
We walk upstairs and Sweet Pea began to change as did I. I had taken my shirt off and I was about to put on one of Sweet Pea's when he stopped me.
Sweet Pea: sit down. He says softly to me. I did as he wanted and watched him to see what he'd do next.
He took of my pants. I give him a smirk. Just like he said, every night he wants me in bed naked.
Sweet Pea: you know it's good not to have any clothes on when you're pregnant, otherwise you're constricting your stomach and it could harm the baby. He says.
Everything that he said is definitely in accurate.
Betty: oh, so that's something all doctors would no, right? I asked him.
Sweet Pea: definitely, it's the basics. He says.
Betty: mhh. I say.
Sweet Pea: feel free to walk around the house naked. He says with a wink before getting into bed next to me.
Betty: you're and idiot baby. I say to him with a giggle.
Sweet Pea: I know bub, and I'm all yours. He says.
Betty: good, I wouldn't want it any other way.
Sweet Pea: good, because I don't want anyone but you. He says while placing a kiss on my lips.
I lean out of the kiss and cuddle up closer into his chest. He wraps his arm around my body as I let out a yawn.
Sweet Pea: you need to rest Princess. He says as we finally settle down.
Betty: good night baby. I say while placing a kiss on his chest and resting my head in his armpit, weird choice but I was comfortable.
Sweet Pea: good night Princess. He says softly.
