Kinaumagahan, I woke up with an ease of feeling kasi I'm so excited talaga to attend sa red carpet ng Maybelline kahit that would be in 2 weeks pa.
Bumangon na'ko sa kama ko and starts to get ready. My class starts at 11am. and it would end at 5pm. Kung gaano ako kaaga nakakauwi sa Monday-Wednesday sched ko, opposite naman sa Tuesday-Thursday na sched ko.
The only good thing of my schedule now is sa 11am pa mags-start yung class ko than sa MW na super early talaga like 7:30 nags-start yung class ko kaya sometimes nalalate ako.
Tapos, what's good in studying UP Diliman is that every semester, you'll only have 6 subjects kaya, sa isang araw, may 3 subjects lang kami. Which is in every subject, there's an allotted 2 hours.
I went to my bathroom para mag shower and once I was done, I pulled a pretty shirt bodycon dress from my cabinet and yun na ang isinuot ko. Feel ko lang mag-ayos ngayon because yun nga I'm happy.
Since mataas pa yung oras, it's still 10, I applied a little bit of makeup like pinakapal ko yung kilay ko kahit makapal na, nag mascara and of course, nag lipstick ng neutral like yung nababagay lang sa skin color ko.
This is really always my go to makeup pag may pupuntahan akong meetings or events like yung light lang na just enough to emphasize my features. And also minsan sa school kasi there are times talaga na gusto kong mag-ayos. Since most of the time, nakaliptint lang ako.
Pagkatapos kong mag-ayos, I gathered my things and nagsuot na'ko ng flats.
I'm not really fond of heels and, naghi-heels lang ako pag may event or photoshoots. Kasi I don't wanna be taller than my original height. I don't know if hindi pa rin matangkad yung 5'7 and a half, pero para sa akin, for girls, it's kind of tall to me na. Kaya yung mga heels ko, twice or thrice lang ata ko silang nagagamit.
After I put on my flats, lumabas na'kong kwarto and pumunta na sa baba para makakain, my parents already left for work and ang nasa living room ay si Ate.
By the way, dalawa lang kami magkakapatid and ako nalang yung nag-aaral kasi kakagraduate lang ni Ate nung nakaraang May.
She took BS in Accountancy in UP Diliman din and nandito na lang talaga siya bahay tumatambay. She already took the CPA exam and she's waiting na lang for the results. We're really hoping na she'll get passed.
"Good morning."
"Good morning." I heard Ate replied."...uy Eva, sorry I wasn't able to fetch you last night, I overslept."
"It's okay Ate. May friend naman akong naghatid sakin." Sabi ko naman and went to the dining room.
I sat on the chair tapos nagsimula na'kong kumain.
"Sinong naghatid sa'yo?" Ate then asked and she joined me dito sa table. But she didn't eat.
"Si Juan."
"May friend ka palang may name na Juan?"
"He's a new friend. You won't believe it Ate pero si Juan Gomez de Liaño, yung naghatid sakin kagabi." Sabi ko and I waited for her reaction. Ate knows how I really like Juan and may crush nga din si Ate sa kanya e. We're both really an avid fan of UAAP Basketball.
"Seryoso?! You're not kidding right?" Tanong ni Ate na nakadako yung mga mata niya. "How?"
"Ano kasi, first, nagkabunggo kami ni Juan tapos nagkausap kami like short talk lang, then second, while I was looking for my wallet, nagkita naman ulit kami ni Juan then he helped me look for my wallet tapos third, nung nag give up na'ko na hanapin yung wallet ko, ayun we decided to go home na lang. And while I was waiting for you, biglang dumating si Juan tapos nag insist siya na ihahatid na lang daw niya ako."
"Holy shit. Tapos? Did he asked for your number?" Tanong niya at umiling ako "Pf course not. We'd just met pero he asked me if pwede ba raw kaming maghang out kasi raw he wants to get to know me"
Biglang tumili ng malakas si Ate at bigla na lang niya ako sinabunutan. "Oh my God, you're so lucky!"
"Aray naman Ate e!"
"I feel like Juan has interest to you! Kasi why would he wants to get to know you, diba." Sabi naman ni Ate and nagkibitbalikat lamang ako kasi ayoko namang umasa noh
"Alam mo, botong-boto ako pag nangligaw sayo si Juan even if you're not yet allowed to have a boyfriend. Sa kanya lang talaga ako boboto."
After I had my breakfast, si Ate na yung naghatid sakin papunta sa school. I also make kwento her na I got an invitation sa red carpet show ng Maybelline Philippines. She was really happy for me and sabi niya naiinggit daw siya sa skin which I took it as a joke.
And also, I was really bothered pa rin kung kailangan ba talaga na may date. I don't have really close guy friends kasi e and all my life, si Erica lang talaga yung nasa tabi ko. Na ngayon, hindi pa rin nagrereply sakin simula kagabi. What happened to her?
Hmm. Si Juan kaya ang ii-invite ko? Would that be okay to him? Pero feeling ko, he would reject it kasi if they win tomorrow, he would be busy sa finals nila.
"Yung utang ko sayo, eto na." Wika ni Ate when we're at UP Diliman na and she dropped me in front sa building ko.
Binigyan niya ako ng 4,200 pesos at napangiti naman ako kasi may pangdagdag ako sa baon ko.
My parents gave me last night 2 thousand pesos at ang sabi, magstart na raw ulit ako ng savings.
"Thanks, Ate. Bye, ingat ka. Love you!" Sabi ko as I went out of her car.
"Bye, love you too."
I closed the door and I went straight to my first class which is Creative Writing.
"Uy, Eva, Juan was here just a while ago and hinahanap ka" One of my blockmates, Seirra told me pagpasok ko sa classroom namin.
"Juan? Like Juan Gomez de Liaño?" Kunot-noo kong tanong sa kanya and she nodded "Yup."
"Bakit daw?" Tanong ko naman ulit.
"Hindi ko alam basta he was looking for you."
The whole duration of the class, I was bothered when Juan was looking for me daw. Kasi I had no idea talaga to why would he look for me.
And up to my last class, I had a little expectation na Juan would look for me again kasi nacu-curious talaga ako ba't niya ako hinahanap. Pero wala e, hindi ko siya nakita ngayong araw.
It's nothing new to me kasi sanay na sanay na ako na hindi ko siya nakikita dito sa campus kahit nasa iisang school lang kami. And UP Diliman is really a big campus and himala na lang siguro pagmagkita kami o makita ko siya.
It's like parang when you date a co-UP D student, para na ring nag e-LDR kayo dahil sa super layo ng mga buildings dito. Unless, if pareho kayo ng course.
When the clock strikes at 5, we were dismissed by our prof. Niligpit ko na ang mga gamit ko and lumabas na ng classroom pero nagulat nalang ako, nang makita ko si Juan sa labas at napansin ko most students were looking at him.
Oh my Gosh. Ba't siya andito?
"Eva.."
"Uy, Juan. Why are you here?" Tanong ko sa kanya "And someone told me kanina morning na you were looking for me daw."
"Ah yes. Um, I just want to ask if this is your wallet na nawala yesterday.." Juan said at ipinakita niya sa akin ang black na wallet which is really mine.
"Oh my Gosh. Where'd you found it?" I asked in a surprised tone.
"Um, someone gave it to me kanina and the guy assumed na it was mine kasi it has my....picture in it daw and when I looked inside din, I saw your picture so I just thought, this is yours." Sagot naman ni Juan at doon ko lang naalala na naglagay pala ako ng 1x1 picture ni Juan doon sa wallet ko.
Holy shit.
Ohmygosh.
Tangina.
Nakakahiya.
"Um, t-thank you ah.." Sabi ko trying to pretend or act like na hindi papansinin yon ni Juan. Na it's not embarrassing yung ginawa ko.
Pero sa totoo lang, gusto ko ng magpalamon sa lupa tas huwag na bumalik.
"You're welcome. And is it okay to ask, why do you have my picture in it?" Ngising tanong ni Juan na tila nang-aasar and hindi ko alam kung anong isasagot ko sa kanya.
Feeling ko nga ngayon kasing kulay ko na yung kamatis. Shit. Nakakahiya!
"Huwag ka ng magtanong." Sabi ko sa kanya and nagsimula na akong maglakad pababa sa Palma Hall at sumunod naman si Juan.
"Why?" Tanong naman niya. Hay nako. Kasasabi lang na huwag magtanong e.
"Huwag na nga. Nakakahiya." Sabi ko at hindi ko siya tinitignan habang patuloy ako sa paglalakad.
"Why nga?" Tanong niya ulit and umirap ako kasi ang kulit niya. He's making me feel more embarrassed.
Hindi ko pinansin si Juan and I decided to go to Area 2 kasi nagugutom ako. I don't really usually eat lunch pag TTH yung schedule ko kasi I don't have any vacant time from 11am up to 6pm. Dere-deretso na kasi wala ng break time kaya after class na'ko nakakakain.
"Fan ba kita?" Rinig kong tanong niya.
"Hindi" Agad kong sagot. Hindi naman sa kinakahiya ko ang pagiging fan but it's actually, the thing that I did. Nakakahiya talaga.
"So, you have a secret crush on me.." He trails off at natigilan ako doon.
"'Hindi rin.." I said immediately. "...assuming mo ha.."
"What is it nga?" Patuloy na tanong nito and this time, huminto ako sa paglalakad and faces Juan.
"If I tell you that I'm a fan, are you going to stop now?" Sabi ko sa kanya and feel na feel ko parin yung pamumula ko.
"Yes."
Umirap muna ako sa kanya before I speak. "Alright, oo na, I'm a fan. So, Okay na? Happy?" I asked Juan at I saw how his smile widened.
"Yup. Very happy. I just didn't thought na someone like you would admire me." Sabi nito at pinagkunot-noo ko siyang tiningnan.
"Huh? Bakit naman?"
"Nevermind. That's a secret" Ngisi nito and sinamaan ko ito ng tingin.
"You're so unfair. I told you the reason why I have a picture of you and dapat ikaw din." Nguso ko sa kanya but he only laughs.
"Nah. I'd rather won't tell it to you." Sabi niya naman and he was still grinning at me.
"Edi 'wag." Mataray kong sambit sa kanya and inirapan naman ulit ito.
