"Movie theatre, movie theatre!" I cheered, jumping on Derek's back as we walked alongside Camden and my sisters, plus Naomi's boyfriend June.
"Oi! Get off of me, fatass!" Derek growled, unsuccessfully trying to get me off. I snickered, wrapping my arms tighter around him. We struggled with each other like that, receiving odd looks from the others.
"You idiot. Can you chill for like, one second?" Naomi said irritated, her hand intertwined with June's as she scowled at us.
Derek finally managed to get me off, and I caught myself before falling to the ground and grinned.
"Nope. What fun would it be if I had a ten foot pole stuck up my rear like you-ow shit!" I yelped when I received a harsh whack over the head from Naomi.
"The problem is she's got more than that up there. She's probably experimented with worse-like one time I saw a cucum-ouch!" Pearl had joined me in teasing Naomi and was now rubbing her head right next to me as Naomi twitched in anger.
"You idiots better shut your mouths before I shut them for you!" Naomi growled, clenching her fists. I pouted, looking at a nervously laughing June with tearful, glistening eyes.
"June, how can you date such a beast? Do you see how she treats the ones she loves?! Next thing you know she'll be bending you over in bed!" I exclaimed in horror, and June paled, his mouth hanging open at me.
"Oh, dear. Kai, run for it." Pearl stated, and I did exactly that as Naomi chased me around, the fire of Satan himself following after her and shining in her eyes.
"Eheheh, uhm...t-they're always like this, huh?" Camden said, rubbing the back of his head and looking up at June. June snapped out of his shock to look down at Camden.
"Yeah, they sure are."
"Agreed. I'm too fragile to be around the likes of them anymore." Derek said, rubbing his chin and nodding. Camden and June looked at Derek with judging eyes.
"Aren't you just the s-same...?"
"Where do you have room to say that...?"
"HEY!" Derek shouted, looking at the whispering duo in offense.
"Owwwww! You're gonna tear my cheeks off you moldy door-hinge!" I yelped in pain as Naomi began to grab my cheeks and pull them painfully.
"Go apologize to June for being a liar and a little freak!" She shouted at me.
"WhaddaboudPearl?!" I said through the agonizing cheek squeezing she was giving me. She turned her furious gaze to Pearl who jumped and pointed at me.
"Traitor!" Pearl said as Naomi released my face. I sighed in relief only to be dragged by my nostril to stand before June.
"Well? We're waiting!" Naomi snapped.
"June i'm sorry for exposing Naomi and freaking you out with the harsh truths of our fam-ow! Fine, i'm sorry for real!" I shouted as Naomi twisted my already pinched nostril.
"That's okay, really! I wasn't weirded out at all, it's fine!" June said, putting his hands up in a placating gesture. Naomi released me and looked at June hopefully.
"Really? You'd be fine if I did that?" She said, grasping onto the hands he was holding up. He smiled down at her, blushing a little.
"Of course. Didn't I say I loved all of you?" He said, leaning down about four miles to kiss the tip of her nose. June is a very tall Korean guy Naomi happened to meet at the hospital where she works.
"Aw, Juuuuune! I love you!" She said, wrapping her arms around him. I sighed loudly in frustration as Camden rubbed my aching cheeks.
"You...! Don't get all happy before Pearl even has her punishment! She's the one who outed your dirty little secr-why!?" I yelped in pain yet again as Naomi chucked her shoe at my head.
Pearl and Derek snickered off to the side as I pouted, crouching on the ground. "The world is a cruel, dark place, Cam. Don't you forget it." I mumbled as I sniffed, and Camden patted my head gently, eyebrows furrowed in concern as he smiled slightly at me.
"T-Then I guess it's a good thing you're around to lighten it up, hm?" He said, gazing off a little and seemingly speaking without really thinking.
I blushed a little and looked at him. "What? Really, me?" He snapped back to reality and turned bright red.
"U-Uhm, I-I don't know w-what it is that I just said, ignore it please!" Camden stammered quickly, clasping his hands in a begging motion.
"Ugh, come on already! We're gonna miss the movie because of you idiots." Naomi said, slipping her shoe back on.
I looked at her in disbelief as I stood, pulling a steaming and blushing Camden with me. "Us?! You're the one who was committing assault and battery here!" I shouted at her back as she headed toward the ticket booth.
"Yeah, yeah, let's go already!" She called back, waving a hand. I twitched, starting to walk up to where Pearl and Derek were when I paused, looking back at Camden who stood still with pink cheeks, staring at me.
"Cam...? You coming?" He jumped, and after looking at me for a second longer he shook his head and smiled.
"Y-Yeah, i'm coming." He said, and I grinned as he jogged up beside me. We talked about how we were excited for the movie, and I couldn't help but notice how the blush seemed to linger a bit as we walked.

I trembled in my seat as I prepared myself for the torment I was about to endure.
"Naomi!" I hissed, getting her attention two seats down from me. "I thought you said we could see an animated movie this time!" I complained, pouting heavily. She cast me an evil grin.
"Yes, I said that. Yes, I lied. Now sit back and enjoy the movie, my sweet little brother!" She giggled, snuggling into June's side as much as she could over the arm rest. I slumped in my seat, grumbling.
Fortunately, the seating arrangement went: Pearl, Naomi, June, Derek, me, and finally Camden. I asked Camden if he was too scared to be on the edge, but he looked at me like he had no idea what I meant and crushed my pride and honor in two seconds flat.
And so, I shivered in my seat, staring up at the big screen like something was going to pop out and tear my soul from my body, even though it was just an ad playing at the moment.
I could feel Camden glancing at me worriedly every so often, and I would have found it cute if I wasn't terrified. On the other hand, or side of me, rather, Derek took one look at me and snorted with laughter.
"You pansy. This is just like the time we watched The Grudge. You say 'spilled soda', I say you pissed yourself." He snickered.
I groaned to myself. With an angel on one side of me and a demon on the other, I bit my lip as the lights dimmed in the theater.

"Kch!" A small, startled noise escaped the hand that covered my mouth, the other clenching the arm rest. Not good, not good, not good!
"Kai, shut up! I'm trying to watch!" Derek shushed me. I looked at him, feeling betrayed and left out to die in the cold winter. What a jerk!
"U-Um, Kai, if you want..." I heard Camden mutter to my left, and turned to face him shakily.
"H-Huh?" I whispered, stammering as much as him in fright, although I didn't need to whisper because of the shouts sounding out around us.
The room brightened a bit due to a part of the movie I refused to look at, and I caught a glimpse of Camden's blushing face.
"I-If you want, you could h-hold my hand...if you're scared, I mean! Not that you'd want t-to otherwise!" He stammered out, whisper-shouting to me. I looked down and at once noticed his out stretched hand on the armrest, open and inviting mine to cuddle with it.
I blushed as well, thankful for the first and last time for the dark theater around me. I gently, bashfully slipped my hand into Camden's, entwining our fingers together. What the...? I don't usually get embarrassed by little things like this-
"Urk!" I jumped in my seat as a particularly loud scream echoed throughout the theater from the horror movie. In that same moment I felt Camden's hand tighten on mine. I felt my face re-heat the lost blush from my jump-scare. The warmth from Camden's hand seemed to radiate throughout the rest of my body, simultaneously calming me a bit.
I wasn't as scared as before, holding Camden's hand. I still jumped, but eventually he began to rub slow circles onto my hand with his thumb, sending tingles up my arm and down my spine. The good kind, not the I-am-going-to-kebab-your-organs-and-eat-them kind.
Finally, the movie ended sometime later, and I felt a tension lift from me, but not as much as I expected. The lights brightened, and I looked over to Camden. His face was red from blushing, spreading to his neck, and his eyes were trained on our hands like he had never seen something so amazing before.
Blushing almost all the way through the movie? That can't be healthy. Geez.
"Oi! You two coming, or you wanna stay for round two?" Derek said, a few steps ahead of us. I flinched at the thought and stood, tugging Camden with me and walking across the aisle of seats.
I knew I should let go of his hand, I knew I should. But he said I could hold it if I was scared...
And right now, I was down right nervous as hell. Because this pounding I feel in my chest, isn't fear at all.
