Niall's POV
We're at (Y/N)'s hometown for her mom's birthday and they are celebrating her birthday by having a family gathering at there house tomorrow.
I went to the nearest drugstore to get some medicines for (Y/N), she's been sick since the day we arrived here. She has cough and colds then last night she had a fever and her temperature was around 38 degrees celsius.
After buying everything that I need to buy, I drive back to her parent's house because that's where we are currently staying.
Once I parked her dad's car I went straight to (Y/N)'s old bedroom. And I found her fast asleep.
"Babe?" I said putting the plastic bag on top of her desk and walking towards the bed "Babe, I got you the medicines that your mom told me to buy."
"What time is it?" She whined slowly opening her eyes
"It's almost 7pm. You also have to eat, it's already past your dinner time." I said gently caressing her rosy cheeks.
"I'm not hungry." She said closing her eyes again
"Babe you have to eat, okay? So you can take your medicine and feel better tomorrow." I said kissing her forehead "I'll cook you a chicken soup, how's that sound?"
Then she nod "Okay." She softly answered
"I love you." I whispered to her ear and that made her smile
"I love you too." She said
I went downstairs heading towards the kitchen so I can prepare (Y/N)'s soup and medicine.
While I was in the middle of reading the procedure on how to make a chicken soup (Y/N)'s dad greeted me while entering the kitchen with a coffee mug on his right hand "How's our little princess?"
"She's still not feeling well, sir. But hopefully this soup will make her feel better. And I also bought her the medicine that Mrs. (Y/L/N) told me to buy to make her flu go away." I answered while preparing (Y/N)'s soup
"How many times do I have to tell you to call me (your/dad's/first/name) and call my wife (your/mom's/first/name)." He said putting his coffee mug on the sink and patting my shoulder "Anyway, thank you for always taking care of our daughter. It really means a lot to us."
"Anytime, (your/dad's/first/name). It is my duty to always take care of her, love her and be there for her when she needs me." I said "And I'll never get tired of it."
"I'm glad you found (Y/N)." He said "Ever since the day she introduced you as her boyfriend, she's now more happier, stronger, and beautiful. And she always tell us that she's lucky to have you."
"I don't know what to say. But to be honest, I'm the lucky lad." I said "She's the one who always bring the best of me." I added then her dad smiled at me
"Well I'm just waiting for the day you ask me the permission to marry her." He said getting a tray from the kitchen cabinet
I was completely surprised after he said that. Me and (Y/N) have been together for a year and half now, yes we've talked about getting married and having kids. But hearing those words from his dad it felt like they really want me to be (Y/N)'s future husband. And I'm so happy to hear that.
Then he helped me prepare the soup "Here I'll help you with that." And I genuinely accepted the offer "She likes her soup creamy. So if she ever gets sick in London or whenever she misses home, cook this for her. She'll love it."
I watched his dad prepare the chicken soup. Then we talked about golf, football, and more random stuffs. We even talked about my family and he said that he really wants to visit Ireland.
After a few minutes the soup was already cook and he told me to bring it to her already "Don't worry about the dishes, I'll clean them up."
"Thank you so much." I said and carefully took the tray heading towards (Y/N)'s bedroom
"Babe, wake up." I said putting the tray on her bedside table "Come on, beautiful. You should eat your soup while it's still hot."
Then she stirred from her nap and sat slowly, I then put the tray on her bed and grabbed the bowl of soup.
"Here, your dad cooked this for you." I said
"It looks delicious." She said smiling at me "Did you eat already?"
"Not yet, but don't worry about me. I'm good." I said
"Let's share this soup. I will not be able to finish this by myself. I need you." She chuckled
"Okay but you have to eat first so you can take your medicines soon."
"Thank you for taking care of me. I know I promised you to go out and stroll around the city but--"
"It's okay, babe. What matters to me is your health. We can come back here anytime you want and there is always a next time for everything." I cut her off "And like I said don't worry about me."
"Your the best." She said putting her soup down and giving me a hug "I love you, Ni."
"I love you too, (Y/N)." I said hugging her back and I gave her a kiss on the temple
After we ate, she took her medicines and we went to bed.
