Somehow, almost tripping at every step they took, Aditya managed to support Zoya till the guest bedroom.

"Here you go, your Highness. Our 'safar' ends here." Aditya said as he removed his hand from Zoya's back and also removed the arms that had she circled around his neck. He noticed Zoya almost frown and thought she looked adorable doing that.

"Okay... Goodnight, I guess." Zoya's frown didn't leave her face and she ran a hand through her hair, loosening her locks out and removed her dupatta from her neck, getting ready to sleep.

Aditya noticed the neckline of her suit an also something else, that he definitely shouldn't have been noticing. He stopped himself from fixating his gaze on her shapely upper half. Deliberately shifting his gaze, he said, "That's my cue to leave. Goodnight." He rushed out the door as fast he could, his hurried steps reflecting the speed of his spinning thoughts about what had just happened. He got to his room, which was right across the hallway and shut the door, trying to also shut the door to his inappropriate thoughts.

Zoya, on the other hand, was trying to fall asleep, fidgeting with the blanket. She turned over about a hundred times but sleep seemed to have become foes with her. The feeling of being alone was probably keeping the sleep away as the empty space on the other side of the bed kept haunting her. She tried to turn away but she was so used to having someone by her side when she slept in the dark that it made her uncomfortable to even try to sleep like that. Other days, she would've managed but with her reasoning abilities being cut down by half, thanks to the liquor in her system and the feeling of being abandoned, thanks to Yash, were both making it impossible to be alone that night. Knowing the fact that Aditya, her new found companion in sadness, was sleeping right across the hallway made it even harder.

She changed her position, once, twice, thrice and finally gave up. In an instant, she pushed the blanket away, stood up and picked her dupatta off the ground. With half opened eyes, she waltzed right out the room.

Aditya didn't have the energy to change his uniform, he had removed his shoes, but lied down on his bed as it is. He closed his eyes as he rested his head, on the pillow. The thoughts he was running from, finally seemed to fade away but alas, he heard the door open.

"Zoya?" He asked confused, as he opened his eyes and saw her standing angrily at the doorstep.

"You left me there and now I can't sleep. Let me tell you that this is not my fault, it is entirely your fault. You can't have me gulp down margaritas and listen to my sad story and then, just expect me to sleep like nothing happened!" Zoya rambled on, irritated, because she wanted the sleep that was nearing her when she had her head on his shoulder, back.

Aditya had gotten up and stood right in front of her when she was giving her childish speech. "But I thought you were sleepy." He asked, confused.

Now how could Zoya explain to him that her sleepy state seemed to have vanished as soon as her head lifted off his shoulder?

"I... don't like sleeping alone." She said, looking downwards.

"But you're not alone." Zoya looked up at him as he heard him say that. She saw an earnest concern in his eyes and she hadn't so taken care off, in a very long time. She was overwhelmed in that moment and couldn't find words to tell him what she was going through. She wanted to tell him that without him, she wouldn't have made it through the night without having an absolute emotional breakdown, that he had supported her in a time of utter loneliness and that he didn't have to do any of this and she was thankful, that he did.

Instead, she stepped closer to him and trailed her hands around his torso, going behind his back and resting her head on his chest, hugging him.

Aditya was taken aback for a split second but he couldn't deny the sheer comfort he felt in her embrace. He didn't know what to do but it seemed like his hands did, as they reciprocated the hug. His arms were wrapped around her body and he felt almost soothed, being so close to her. He rested his chin on her head and closed her eyes before he heard a muffled whisper of hers saying, "thank you."

He smiled softly and didn't let go. He didn't feel the need to say, "you're welcome" or even thank her back because he was sure, the hug said it all.

They stayed like that for a little longer than two minutes and Zoya started realising inappropriateness of the proximity but it felt so good, she didn't want to let go. She lifted her head from his chest, near his shoulder, slowly. Her heart was beating faster than it had ever before and the slow motion of separating from the hug had left inches away from Aditya's face. Her breath grew heavier as all of her thoughts inside her head were pointing to something that she knew was wrong.

The hands remained where they were and noticing Zoya's heavy breaths, Aditya was growing nervous too. They were so close, he could feel her throbbing heart. He gulped down in his throat once, trying to control himself as his eyes averted their gaze to her lips. The wrongness of the situation was somewhere in the back of his mind but it was fading away with each breath of Zoya's that he could feel.

Their lips were so close, it would take just one little move of his to put an end to the distance. He noticed her eyes fixated on his lips as well and for a second, they looked up at his. That look gave away a flurry of emotions from pain to guilt to longing to passion... an unspoken consent was being exchanged and suddenly, his mind went blank.

He moved closer and their lips touched. It was so gentle, Zoya wasn't even sure if they had in fact touched. She felt his lips slowly caress hers and all her emotions went south. Fireworks had went up in the sky, in her head at least, in that moment. Her lips parted slightly to embrace his and she felt herself losing control in his soft ways. She knew that he was still holding himself back a little, she could feel it. As much as she loved enjoying the light touches of his lips on hers, she wanted more. She removed her hands from his back and placed them around his neck, and deepened the kiss. She went in for it, running her hand through his hair and pushing herself against him.

Aditya lost the little hold he had over himself when she elevated the kiss, his hands moved from her back and went down to her waist, firming his hold over her. He roughened the kiss, sucking her lips and further letting her tongue in. He felt her clutch his hair and let out a moan. He stopped for a second, taking a second to breathe and looked at her. He knew what was coming and so did she.

Zoya pulled him closer again, giving her consent and that was it for him. He picked her up in one swift motion and carried her to the bed, coming on top of her. She kissed him again, pulling him closer and trailing her hands from neck to unbuttoning the blazer he was wearing. She unbuttoned the last one and tried to take it off. Aditya broke the kiss and hurriedly took off his blazer and tie. Zoya sat up to his position, grasping his lips again and went for his shirt. She wanted it and she could tell he wanted it too. Their brains had stopped working long ago and whatever was happening was a rush of passion that had been building up inside since the moment they embraced.

He took off his shirt and Zoya took full advantage of feeling his bare body. He pulled away her dupatta and placed his hands on her neck guiding her movements. Slowly, he sequentially kissed her from her lips down to her jaw, reaching her neck. He sucked on the tender skin of her neck, enraging her insides. She took her hand down to his pants, pulling on the button and feeling his hardness. Realising her doing so, he bit her lightly, teasing her. This provoked a slight moan from her as she unbuttoned his pants.

Aditya's hands went behind to her back, untying the dori and patiently unzipping her suit. His lips came back to hers, as she helped him take off her suit. One by one, every piece of clothing peeled away from them. Aditya pushed himself on top of her as she lied back down, legs wrapped his torso.

Their bodies moved on their own accord after that, as his fingers explored the curves of her body. Her center quivered, as his fingers found it and the emotions inside her went haywire. As they delved into one another, a feeling of completeness approached them. With heavy breaths, sweat clinging to their bodies, loud groans, draped within each other, they reached the peak.

He laid his head in the crook of her shoulder, tired. Her skin was definitely softer than any of his pillows. He felt her hand caressing his hair and he felt an urgent need to look at her. He got up, just a little, enough to get a clear view of her face. It was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen and he just wanted to take in the beauty, staying in that moment forever.

She smiled looking at him and he bent sideways to get his phone. He opened the camera, wanting to take a picture of her but his tipsy-self had accidently started recording a video.

Zoya was confused looking at the guy, holding up his phone right in front of her face but stated laughing the next second.

"What are you doing, Adi?"

Aditya only had one answer. "Do you know how beautiful you are, Zoya?"

By then, he realised that he was recording a video and joined her in the laughter.
