Estella peered from her seat in the Great Hall at her old friends. Harry, Ron, and Hermione were laughing with the Gryffindors, celebrating their House Cup victory. The Great Hall was decorated in scarlet banners and the Slytherins around her sat poking at their food glumly. They would have won, had Dumbledore not decided to award a few last minute points. Well more than a few, Estella corrected. The Headmaster has not rewarded her any for their adventure because her parents had insisted "they didn't want such attention brought to their daughter." Estella was content enough to know the stone had been destroyed, as Dumbledore had assured her, and that her Gryffindor friends were all well.
The redhead gave a bittersweet smile as she reached for another tart. She had decided to let her trio go. They would save the Wizarding World one day. But she was Estella Lestrange. Slytherin. Daughter of a Death Eater. And she had a different road to travel.
