"Home is where the heart is"
Oh don't make me laugh
"Home" is where hell's at
It's where my heart was eaten and spit out
There's no home for my heart
Only a freezer
In which my heart stays
Frozen in place
Kept away from everything and everyone
It's better this way
But be warned
It may look like a perfect mechanism
But I'll let you in on a secret
A frozen heart has a dangerous kryptonite
If somebody steals your heart
They can break it easily
Like a beautiful icicle falling to its demise
So think twice before you go making your heart cold
Is it worth it?
I don't mean in that painful temporary moment
But is it worth it in the long run?
When you're so cold, wishing desperately for warmth, but it's too late
Will you wish you dug deep and dealt with the pain instead?
Will you wish for those days you were wanting to be dead?
To feel something, anything at all
Even if it's just a good bawl
Will you risk letting someone steal your fragile heart?
When that isn't smart
The odds are that it'll end up in a million pieces, never to recover
But will you be so desperate that you'll take it?
Heed my words, dear ones
Think twice and think again
Everything has a price
So the question is
Are you willing to pay it?
