I was walking towards my new class, which I have gotten used to as I switched schools every year due to my mom's promotions. Though I do have one problem with the circumstance and it is that I have to meet new people. I'm not good at communicating with others as I don't like talking or people, to be frank. I had mixed emotions about this class as like I said I have to meet people but in this class, my best friend Kai is also going to be there which I'm obviously looking forward to, so I'm kind of confused. As I entered the class, the teacher was already there. I assumed that I was late and he was going to say something and realized I have to apologize to him which I'm also not good at all.
What I had imagined didn't happen because the teacher smiled at me and asked me to introduce myself. To be honest, I was anxious as I didn't want to but all of a sudden I saw my best friend and my anxiousness slowly disappeared. I was happy that words came out of my mouth as I said, "Hello my name is Rena Kins and yes, I know my surname is weird" and smiled. "I am the new student as you all know, therefore, please guide me if I get lost."
Afterwards, I just smiled and the teacher introduced himself as Mr Hoshi and said he'll be my class teacher. "You may take a seat now" He later added. When I continued to take a seat I saw an unoccupied bench next to Kai. When I sat down a guy came rushing in the class breathing heavily.
Mr Hoshi became really annoyed as he saw the guy entering the room. He scolded the guy sarcastically by saying, "Wow....you're 15 minutes late to the class. You have officially broken your record of coming late to class by 12 minutes. Are you proud of this achievement Mr Jake?" The guy just rolled his eyes and replied, "My dad couldn't drop me to school due to an important meeting, hence, I had to take a bus which was late btw. So, this is the reason I'm late."
Mr Hoshi said fine and ordered to go to his chair. The guy looked at his seat and replied I would love to sit but someone is sitting in my seat while pointing at me. As he said that I got up immediately because I didn't want to cause a fuss about a seat but disappointed as I can't sit next to my BFF and hated that guy I think named Jake for this. Luckily, Mr Hoshi was on my side as he said, "Ms Rena, please sit where you were sitting, Mr Jake will sit on the first bench as a punishment for reporting late to the class every day."
Damn, I just knew that guy hated me for this reason. I mean who would ever want to sit on the first bench where the teacher can keep an eye on you easily but, it didn't bother me because I am used to being hated. Anyways, after a while, the class began.
