Joshs POV:
I looked down at my hands and see the sign.
I look at Noel who looks worried...
"What does it say?"Hailey asks
I looked at her before returning my eyes to Noel
"Postive"My voice cracks
Noel shows no emotion...At least that's what she is trying to do. She has tears forming but, hides them
Noel's POV:
I want to cry and be happy but, I can't. It's not mine to do that. I always thought my first child would be mine but, family is first and I need to do this.
"Congrats" Micheal smiled slapping his hand on Josh's back
"I need some time...alone, please" I spoke not looking at them
"Hailey get a cloth and water. Micheal make an appointment for the morning with the OBGYN" Josh spoke
"Yes sir" Hailey flushes the toilet before taking Micheal's left hand and walked out
He wasn't moving which meant he was staying
No!
He waited for the door to close before looking back at me. I started to get up because the ground was cold and I needed to clean up.
"Here let me help you"
He walked to me to grab my hands. I didn't want him to touch me but, stayed quiet. I grabbed his hands and he pulled me up the rest of the way.
"What now?"I ask walking to my sink
I turn the water on and start cleaning up.
"We schedule an appointment to check on my baby"
"Right," I say drying my hands after washing and walk out
"We should talk Noel"
I don't want to talk about that night.
"I thought we were" I laid down on the bed
He sighs and takes his blazer off. He then set it behind him and walked to the bed, sitting on the edge.
"I meant about what happened before..."
Goosebumps all up my arms and stomach form
I have nightmares about it...I don't want to talk about it. Not now...
His mood changes
"Listen about that night-"
"I don't want to talk about it"
I curl up in a ball
"We need to talk about it. I am sorry Noel, I am"
"No your not"
I sit up
"Yes I-"
"Josh, You called me a slut! You acted like I was nothing! I-I was thinking clearly, moments before you arrived for that meeting my sister called saying my father was on his death bed. I wasn't thinking. You didn't give me a chance to prepare myself when I arrived! I was already feeling awful" I cry "You didn't even listen"
"Noel-"
"No! You know I can't stop thinking about that night! That night was so terrifying, I bet it didn't even faze you!"
"NOEL SHUT UP AND LET ME TALK!"He pauses "Listen I regret what I did! I wish I could erase that night if I could! But I can't! So stop yelling and crying! You can't change it and I can't! We got what we needed! You got your payment and I got a baby. That's what we wanted is it not?!"
Y-yes
I looked away
"Get Out"
"No, answer my question"
"YES, OK?! YES! NOW PLEASE GO!"
"Noe-"
There was a knock before someone walked in
"Josh"
He turned our head and saw Micheal.
"What?!"
"The appointment is set for 10 am tomorrow morning. The OBGYN said to make sure she isn't stressed or it could be bad for the baby"
I looked at Micheal...then at Josh who looked like he wanted to stay and talk more but, thankfully he grabs his things.
"We will finish this talk at dinner"
"I am not eating" I spoke quietly
"Noel-"
"Josh, The OBGYN said that she needed to rest. I'll have Hailey bring her food"
"What the f-"
"We need to talk about some business"
They walked out and I was left alone.
I began to cry...
I want Lizzy
I want Jackie
I want my friends...
I hate being alone
Before I could think anymore I fell asleep with my hands near my stomach

"Noel?"
What?
"Noel? I have your food"
Go away
"Noel wake up"
I open my eyes a little bit and saw Hailey standing there with a tray
"I brought you some food"
"Thank you"
I was holding my stomach,she looks at me
"I can't believe holding my stomach, I just find out I'm pregnant and it's not even mine, and I'm here hugging my stomach as if it is...this is how I've woken up the past week. Weird"
"I don't think its weird. I think its normal"
"Not when you're carrying someone else's baby"
"Just because its Josh's baby doesn't mean you can't love it or talk to it"
"Yes, it does..."
"Girl"
"I thought I was going to be OK. I was going to be fine. This wasn't going to be an issue because I wasn't going to love or want the baby because I already had my sister to take care of"I looked at my belly "Hailey I can't fall in love with this baby" I began to cry "It's too damn early and I can't honestly think this baby is it for me"
We talk a little more, eat and then I get ready for bed. I look in my clothes bag but, nothing it in there. I wore everything...Hailey and the maids already left. Damn it, I walk out of my room and saw that Josh's light was on.
Do I go in?
Do I just sleep in nothing?
I can't do that, not with him-
"Noel?" A dark tired voice questions
I jump and turn around
"JOSH!"
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you"
I got a big smell of whiskey
NO!
"Goodnight"
I tried to walk away but, he grabs my hand
"Where are you going?"
No NO NO
"Please let go"
He dropped my hand. I should be walking away but, in the darkness, I can see his eyes...Regret
"You're drunk Josh. I don't want to be around you when your drunk"
"I am not drunk"
"You smell like whiskey"
"Micheal's whiskey"
"What?"
"We were talking and he got drunk. I didn't want to get drunk knowing you were in the house"
ohhhhhhhh
"Oh?"
"Listen I am sorry...Please let me make it up to you"
"What happened to you being you and me being me. Separate lives?"
"I am not asking you to be my girlfriend or wife, I am asking to make up what happened. We are going to be hanging out a lot because of the baby, I don't want any weird tension around us anymore please"
"I can't erase what happened or my thoughts but, I can move on....I need to mentally for my sake...."
"Good"He smiles
I turn around to leave "Didn't you need something?"
"What?"
"You were heading for my room?"
"Oh...I-I was wondering if you have anything I could wear to bed but, I'll figure it out. I just need to make sure to get clothes washed in the morning. Throw up isn't my friend"
"Hold on"
He walks past me into his room. He shuts the door so I can't see in before walking back out with his shirt and underwear.
"We can get you more clothes tomorrow"
"Thank you"
"Goodnight"
"Night"
