You had left Small Heath at the age of 18, you couldn't deal with the death of your father and the only way you could get away from the grief you were feeling was to leave but that required you to leave Arthur. Leaving Arthur Shelby behind wasn't something you had planned on doing. You and Arthur had been close ever since you were young children; you were inseparable.
Tommy had contacted you after Arthur killed a young boy in the boxing ring. You knew something wasn't right. You knew the life Arthur had chosen to lead but it didn't change the way you felt about him.
You walked into the boxing place where Tommy had told you to meet him with Arthur. Your heart began to beat rapidly in your chest, you palms began to sweat nervously.
Arthur turned around after hearing the constant clicking of heals against the cold floor. His eyes widened in shock as they landed on your beautiful green ones.
"Arthur fucking Shelby!" You whispered trying not to cry
"y/n fucking y/l/n!" He said running to you and wrapping his arms around you, too scared to let you go again.
