Jiyun had been showing up to school by herself. Jihee was still at the hospital as she had cancer, but no one in the school knew about it except for Jiyun and the teachers.
"Hey, did you notice that Jihee hasn't been to school lately?"
"Yeah, she's probably too scared to come and face me again." Haeun played with her hair. "She's too dumb to even face me."
"Or maybe she's scared to get beaten up again."
Jiyun was listening to them the whole time.
"Will you stop talking bad about Jihee?" Jiyun slammed her hand on her desk.
"Oh look, Jiyun is standing up for her so called 'twin'"
"You don't know what Jihee is going through right now! Jihee is in the hospital! She doesn't deserve to be there! You do! All of you do!"
"No way.." Haeun chuckled "Did you hear that? Jihee is in the hospital! Hard work pays off."
"Why are you so cruel?"
"Because I was born to be whatever I want to be."
