Climbing my way up to the top of the building , I realized he wasn't there. I sighed , the gravel crunching under my footsteps on the apartment building's roof. I sat on the ledge and sat my backpack beside me. My feet dangled over the late-night New York traffic. I pulled up my hood , it dancing in the breeze as I leaned back , my head resting in the small rocks that padded the roof.
Deciding enough was enough , I hopped down to the fire escape and went down a few floors. Geo lived in this building , and I've visited him like this before. I'd rather not be ready for conversation and then be left alone , and Geo is an alternative , I suppose. I knocked lightly on his window , shoving my mask into my backpack.
