After the success of Diary ng Panget, a new Wattpad story shall come to life. Talk Back and You’re Dead, story originally written by Alesana Marie, shall be mastered into a movie by Direk Andoy Ranay. Alike Diary ng Panget, this movie shall be starring James Reid and Nadine Lustre. Impressed by the performance they gave on their first tandem, fans ask for more of them, and Viva is about to give exactly that.
Though the story is not revealed to the public, but can be read at Wattpad, Direk Andoy Ranay explains that compared to Diary ng Panget, Talk Back and You’re Dead is more mature, with a much more angst character for James Reid. While James claims that his new character has similarities with Cross, Direk Andoy Ranay states that Nadine’s character from DNP is very much different from the character she will play in Talk Back and You’re Dead. She plays a “sosyal”, “mayaman” and “inglisera” character. The beauty of the film, is though they try to fit 2 out of the 7 books only and cannot fit all the details within the book, the writer of the story is present and can witness the process from story to film. By this, much of the essence of the story can still be kept alive.
Aside the story, Direk Andoy Ranay who is very excited with the JaDine love team, expresses how he is very confident about the talent of the two. He says, “These two, hindi sila tamad na artista.. Inspired, very inspired”. Because they are still in the process of casting though, they have not confirmed whether Yassi and Andre would also take part in the film. Both James and Reid are excited for the upcoming film, and are thankful another opportunity. And there is no doubt that JaDine or even Diary ng Panget fanatics are eagerly waiting.
