I wake up in Jesse's arms. He kisses my neck as he runs his hand down my body. His hand returns to my hand and we weave our fingers together. He kisses my lips and brings his hand to my cheek. He places tiny kisses from my lips down my neck as I moan with pleasure.
"I love you," I whisper.
"I love you too," he whispers returning his lips to mine. We pull away and he wraps his arm around my waist pulling me close.
"So what are we going to do today?" I ask.
"We should go look at houses."
"Yeah, we should. Did you find any online?"
"I haven't looked yet."
"Okay."
"I'll get up and look for some," he tells me. We lay there for a few more minutes. He sighs and pecks my lips then he gets up. He puts some clothes on while I lay there and watch him. He turns around and sees me staring at him. He jumps onto the bed and lays half way on top of me connecting his lips to mine. We pull away and I smile at him.
"What was that for?" I ask.
"You were watching me so I had to kiss you. I mean what kind of husband would I be if I didn't?"
"A normal one."
"But I'm not normal and we both know that."
"You got that right." He pecks my lips and then gets up again. He opens his laptop to start searching for houses. I get up and slip some clothes on.
"Very sexy babe," Jesse tells me.
"Thanks you too." He looks at himself and sees that he is only wearing his boxers.
"It's better than nothing right?"
"I'm not sure that's true," I tell him. He smiles and continues searching while I get ready. I walk out of the bathroom and Jesse is on his phone. He hangs up as I sit on the bed.
"I have three houses lined up for us to look at today," he tells me.
"That's great," I exclaim. He wraps me in a hug and pecks my lips. He goes into the bathroom and after a few minutes he comes out to get dressed. Once we are ready to go I grab my purse.
"Are we going to stay here another night?" Jesse asks.
"I think we should, because I don't want to talk about the houses over at my house, where my family could overhear us."
"That's probably best."
"Yeah." We walk out of our room and down the hallway. We go down the stairs and Jesse pays for us to stay another night. We walk outside to find Donny, Lisa, Ava, John and Josh standing by Jesse's truck. I hold Jesse's hand and we walk up to them.
"What are you doing here?" I ask.
"Janna we need to talk," Donny tells me.
"Okay, then talk," I state.
"We are all sorry that we helped mom and dad hold you in your room," he tells me.
"Then why did you?"
"Because we thought Jesse might hurt you."
"I know that's not the real reason. Why did you help them?" I demand.
"Fine. We did it because we were jealous of Jesse for standing up to dad."
"Why? You could do the same thing, it's really not that hard," Jesse tells him.
"Well we respect our dad, unlike you."
"I do respect your dad. I just don't let him push me around."
"He doesn't push us around. He suggests ways that we should do things," Donny defends.
"Well whatever you call it, I don't let him do that to me," Jesse states.
"Why are you even with this guy if he's mean to dad? I don't think he does you or anyone in this family any good," Donny states. Jesse grabs Donny by his shirt and pushes him against John's truck.
"Don't ever say things like that to my wife. If she didn't love me then she wouldn't have said yes when I asked her to marry me. So I suggest you leave us alone and go home," Jesse yells. Donny takes a swing at Jesse but he blocks it. He tries again but Jesse turns him around and holds his arms behind his back pushing him against the truck.
"Would you like to try that again?" Jesse asks.
"No." John starts walking toward Jesse but I block him. Meanwhile Josh walks over to Jesse and connects his fist to Jesse's face. Jesse looks down at Josh and punches him making him fall to the ground. I run over and get between them.
"Knock it off," I yell.
"But he punched me and I intend to teach him a lesson," Jesse states.
"Jesse get in the truck. As for everyone else, go home!" I yell. Josh stands up and glares at me. "Go!" Jesse gets in the truck and everyone else scatters. I open the door and Jesse looks over at me.
"Do you need some ice?" I ask.
"Yeah."
"Okay I'll be right back. Don't get out of this truck."
"Fine." I go inside and fill a bag with ice. I take it to Jesse and he puts it on his eye.
"Do you want me to drive?" I ask.
"No I can." He starts the truck and drives to the first house. He pulls into the driveway and parks the truck.
"I'm sorry," he tells me.
"For what?" I ask.
"For hurting your brothers."
"It's okay. I'm sorry for yelling at you but I knew you wouldn't stop."
"Yeah I probably wouldn't have stopped."
"Also, Josh deserved it since he punched you first," I tell him.
"Yeah that little jerk. Why did he punch me anyway?"
"I don't know. I guess he's not smart enough to realize you would hurt him more."
"I guess. I bet if you kiss me my eye would feel better," he states.
"Really?" I ask.
"Yeah." I lean over to him and peck his lips.
"Did it work?" He leans over to me and captures my lips in a long passionate kiss. We pull away and he smiles at me.
"Yes, it worked," he tells me.
"Good. So who is our Realtor?"
"Eric Davis."
"Oh cool, he is very good at his job."
"Yeah. He should be here soon, we are a little early." Eric pulls up beside us and we all get out.
"Hi I'm Eric," he introduces.
"I'm Janna," I tell him.
"I'm Jesse."
"Oh yes we spoke on the phone. So you two are looking to buy your first house?" he asks.
"Yes," Jesse tells him.
"Okay, well this is a great place for a first home." I look around and there are trees along two sides of the property. There is an opening where the driveway comes in. It is one mile down a gravel road and has a beautiful cobblestone path leading to the front porch. The yard is blanketed with green grass and has a large fire ring. The railing that goes around the front porch is a beautiful rustic wood. The house is one storie and is a tan color.
We walk up the stairs to the front porch while Eric unlocks the door. There is an awning with a nice steel roof covering the porch. There are stairs on each side and off the front of the porch leading to the yard. We walk through the brown beveled glass door into a large living room. It has an open ceiling with exposed beams and three large windows. We walk through the living room into the kitchen.
"So this house is 2,500 square feet, it has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and it is $279,900," Eric tells us.
"How many acres is it on?" Jesse asks.
"Twenty acres."
"Okay."
"Why are we looking at this? We don't have money to pay for it," I tell Jesse.
"I'll explain later."
"Okay." The kitchen has granite counter tops with hickory cabinets. The appliances are stainless steel and the stove has eight burners. There is a double oven built into the wall. The counter top wraps around two walls in the kitchen and there is an island in the middle.
"Do the appliances come with the house?" I ask.
"Yes."
"Okay good." We walk through the kitchen into the utility room. There is a front load washer and dryer on one wall with three cabinets above them.
"The washer and dryer come with it as well," Eric tells me.
"Great." Jesse walks over to the electrical box and opens it up. He looks satisfied with what he sees and closes it. I look out the back door and see the beautiful mountains. I open the door and step out onto the deck. The deck looks the same as the font porch. I walk down the stars and the mountains are gorgeous.
"Do you like it?" Jesse asks.
"Yeah it's beautiful."
"Lets go look at the rest of the house."
"Okay." He holds my hand as we walk back inside. We walk back into the kitchen and over to the dining area. It is open to the kitchen with a large window to look at the mountains. We walk through the living room and down the hallway. The first door on the right is a small linen closet. The first door on the left is a bathroom. The next two doors on the left are bedrooms. They each have a window and a good size closet. We save the master bedroom for last and walk to the end of the hallway. It opens into a large room with two windows. There is a door that opens into an office that has a small window.
"This can be my man cave," Jesse states.
"It could also be a playroom for future kids," I tell him.
"Yes but until then can it be my man cave?"
"I guess." We walk back to the master bedroom and open the door. It has a sliding glass door that opens to the back deck. There is a large walk in closet and a bathroom. The bathroom has a two person shower, double sink and a bathtub. There is a large mirror over the sink. I look at Jesse and he smiles at me.
"So what do you think of this house?" Eric asks.
"It's amazing," I tell him.
"Yeah, it is a very nice house."
"Are you ready to look at the next house?" Eric asks.
"Yeah." We walk outside and get in the truck. We follow Eric to the next house.
"So how would we buy any of the houses we see today?" I ask.
"Well I have this aunt who I met once when I was four. She moved away without telling anyone and we don't know where she went. So I guess she loved me when she met me so in her will she left me all her money. My dad called and she just passed away last week from a brain janeurism."
"Oh that's horrible."
"Well she lived with her son so he took her to the hospital," he tells me.
"Okay so how much money did she have?"
"Well she invested in Microsoft so she has written in her will that I get all of her money. So I now have $500,000 dollars from her."
"Really?" I ask.
"Yes."
"That's amazing!" I tell him. We pull up in front on a house in a nice high end neighborhood. It is about ten blocks away from my parents house. It is the second house on the right and is two stories tall. It is a nice tan color with a dark brown roof and matching shutters. It has a two car garage and the doors are a light wood. The front door has beautiful brick around it and there are three large windows. We get out and meet Eric at the front door. He unlocks it and we walk inside. To the left there is a door that leads to the garage and stairs that lead to the second floor.
"So this house is listed at $349,900. It has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The owners have been trying to sell it for about six months so they might be willing to come down a little on the price," Eric tells us.
"Okay, how long has it been vacant?" Jesse asks.
"About six months."
"Okay." We walk upstairs and it opens into a nice living room. There is a small hallway to the right that leads to a bathroom and two bedrooms. It is a nice full bathroom and the bedrooms each have a large window with a nice closet. We head back downstairs and walk through the large open living room into the kitchen. The kitchen has nice white cabinets and granite countertops. There are stainless steel appliances. It opens to a large dining room.
We walk through the kitchen to the utility room where Jesse looks at the electrical panel. He is happy with it and returns to my side. The room has a small bathroom and a space for the washer and dryer. There is a door that leads to the back yard.
We walk outside and there is a white privacy fence around the entire yard. We walk down the stairs and there is a large concrete pad with a basketball hoop on each end.
We walk back inside and through the kitchen. We walk into the living room and to the garage. It is a two car garage with a large work bench. We walk out the door that leads to the front yard.
"It's pretty loud here," I tell Jesse.
"Yeah the highway is right behind the house." We get in the truck and follow Eric to the next house.
"I'm not sure about that house. It's pretty expensive for what you get," I tell him.
"Yeah and I don't know about you but I think it's too close to your family," he states.
"Yeah me too." We pull up in front of a large house that is about two miles out of town. It is a white farm house. We get out and meet Eric at the front door. He unlocks it and we walk inside.
We walk into the living room. There is a large coat closet next to the door. The walls have dark dated paneling and there is baseboard hot water heat. Also there is a built in entertainment center. The windows have dark yellow curtains over sheer white curtains covering the windows.
"This house is listed at $159,900. It has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and it is 2200 square feet," Eric tells us.
"How many acres is it?" Jesse asks.
"Five acres."
"Okay cool." We walk through the large living room into the kitchen.
The kitchen has 1970's paneling and the same baseboard hot water heat. There are green counter tops and antique cabinetry. There are two small lights with two different light switches. There is built-in lighting over the sink and oven. There is a lot of storage but the cabinets are not very deep. There is a dining area between the wall and the peninsula. We walk through the kitchen into the utility room.
The utility room has a water heater with a lot of pipes coming out of the floor and going into the wall. Behind that is the electrical box. Jesse looks at it and returns to my side. The washer is on one wall with three cabinets above it. The dryer is across the room with three cabinets above it as well.
We walk out the back door, down the stairs and into the yard. You can see the mountains in the distance. The yard had patches of concrete throughout and some grass but mostly weeds. The concrete is broken up with weeds growing through it. The yard is fenced in with a large gate in the back and a small one in the front. There is a carport on the south side of the house.
There are three small buildings. The building by the back gate is green and the inside looks nice. The building in the southwest corner used to be a garage. It has an accordion style door but it is too short to fit a car into. The building next to it is short and the outside is rusted. The doors squeak when you slide them open. You can't stand up straight without hitting the ceiling. We walk back inside.
There is a flight of stairs in the corner that lead to the second level. We walk up them and there are two bedrooms.
The room on the left has hardwood flooring and light wood paneling. It has floral curtains over lace curtains covering the two windows and a small closet. The room on the right has paneling that was painted white and green carpet. It has green sheer curtains covering the two windows. There is an entrance to the attic and a small closet. Both rooms have baseboard hot water heat.
We walk down the other flight of stairs that leads to the living room. There is a large bathroom to the left. It has a large linen closet, a shower, a sink with a large mirror and a toilet with a butterfly toilet seat. We walk down the stairs that lead downstairs.
The bedroom on the left has drywall and tan carpet. It has lace curtains and a large closet. The room on the right has drywall and the same tan carpet. There are brown curtains and a nook they use as a closet.
There is a bathroom between the two bedrooms. It has a yellow shower and toilet. The sink has gold glitter swirled design. At the landing there is a short door in the corner. Jesse opens it and there is an entrance to the basement and the crawlspace. He grows in and looks in the crawlspace. He crawls out and stands up. He closes the door and we walk back upstairs.
"So how long has this house been vacant?" I ask.
"About six months," Eric tells me.
"Okay." We walk outside as Eric locks the door.
"So this house was built in 1907 but it was remodeled in 1970," Eric tells us.
"Well it looks pretty good for being over 100 years old," Jesse states.
"It is."
"Well thank you for taking time to show us these houses today. We will talk about it and get back to you," I tell him.
"Okay I'll see you later."
"Bye." We walk to Jesse's truck and get in. We drive back to the hotel only to find my family waiting for us.
"Are you hungry?" Jesse asks.
"Yes."
"Okay good." He turns around and drives to Papa's Pizzeria. We go inside and order a large half all meat half pepperoni pizza. Once it is ready they bring it out and we get in the truck. We drive back to the hotel and park in the back. We go up to our room but Donny and Josh are standing in front of the door. We hide by the ice machine and i call Donny.
"Hello," Donny answers.
"Hey. John, Lisa and Ava have us trapped. We give up can you come down here so we can talk?" I ask.
"Sure we are on our way," he states. He hangs up then him and Josh go downstairs. Jesse and I run into our room and lock the door.
"Have I mentioned you family is insane," Jesse yells.
"You know, I don't think it has come up," I tell him. He smiles. I look out the window and Donny is staring at me. "Jess come here." He comes over and I point down at Donny.
"Wow, he's pi**ed," Jesse states. The rest of my family joins Donny in the middle of the parking lot. I look at Jesse and then back at my family. Jesse spins me around to face him. He presses his lips to mine and lifts me up. I wrap my legs around him as he closes the curtains. We pull away and he sets me down.
"You know my family will be at the door in 3, 2, 1," I tell him as someone pounds on the door.
"Yes." He walks over to the door and looks out. "Come here." I walk over to him. "Are you ready?" he whispers.
"Yes," I answer. He kisses my lips and pushes me against the wall. He pulls away breathing heavily for a moment. He kissed my neck. "Stop it," I playfully tell him. Donny knocks on the door again.
"Open up," he yells.
"Okay stop," I whisper. He pulls away and holds my hand. He looks out again and we walk over to the table.
"He's furious," Jesse tells me.
"Well good job then, you are amazing." He pecks my lips. We grab the pizza and crawl into bed. I turn the TV on and we watch Duck Dynasty.
Once we finish I get up to see if my family is still outside the door.
"They left," I tell Jesse.
"Good." I go to the bathroom and get ready for bed. Once I finish Jesse does the same. We crawl into bed. "So, what did you think about the houses we saw today?" Jesse asks.
"Where do I even begin. The first one was absolutely amazing. I love the location, the trees, the mountain view, everything about it was amazing. But the second one was too expensive for the size, and I didn't like how close it was to my parents house. Now the last one was very interesting," I tell him.
"Yeah it was. I'd say that the side of the house with the bedrooms was the original house they just added the rest in 1970."
"That would make sense. I like the size I think it has potential, especially for the price."
"Yeah the price is phenomenal, and I agree with you it does have potential," he tells me.
"The location was good too."
"Yeah. So which one do you like the most?" he asks.
"Well I can tell you for sure I don't like the second one."
"Good me neither. So do you like the first or the last one better?"
"I love the first one. But the last one would be cool, because it would be a fun project. What do you think?" I ask.
"Although the last one would be fun, I think the first one is a good choice. It will be enough space for friends and even children one day."
"So does that mean we are going to buy the first one?" I ask.
"I think so." He pecks my lips and wraps his arms around my waist. "We are buying our first house together."
"Yes we are."
"I love you."
"I love you too," I tell him.
