"Are you no longer attracted to me?"
Jennifer ran her finger seductively starting from where the tube was attached to his arm till his bicep. Faced turned to the other side as if she is the plague, drops of silent tears rolled down Liam's cheeks. His lips tremble to utter a word. Ironically, he was mute in her presence.
"Will you at least look at me? I look hot in this short dress. You love it when I look hot, don't you? I didn't even change, spent the rest of the night lying in bed staring at the ceiling and at dawn I ordered one of Celestia's bodyguards to get me to the best clinic in Havana because I know that's where you'll be. Still, no matter how prestigious and expensive with Harvard graduated doctors, they couldn't save your dick, could they?"
Liam cried never ending, gripping the mattress. The sobs punched throughout the room, ripping into his heart. Jennifer deliberately leaned into him, letting her hair caressing his tear stained cheek.
"I wore a Tom Ford perfume before leaving. I heard its scent can drive men crazy. Are you going crazy Liam? Turn your nose and smell my neck, it's strong and powerful and can make you arouse."
He blinked still looking the other side, his whole body shook by the wave of emotions. The tears were not about to stop falling any time sooner and Jennifer decided to sprinkle another huge spoon of salt on his wounds.
First, she laughed innocently, "Shit I forgot, you're a eunuch. You can't be aroused by a woman anymore."
"Please go," he finally spoke yet didn't look at her.
"I will but no one turn their fucking back on me. I'm being nice to you why can't you do the same?"
Upon hearing these words, he slowly turned his head and looked into her eyes. He remembered these words because that's exactly what he said to her when they first met.
"Karma is a boomerang, isn't it Liam?"
His dark lashes were brimmed with heavy tears. Hands clenched on both side, he could do nothing than stare at her, silently. A lone tear dropped and he blinked.
"Can you forgive me?" He asked.
Jennifer sat straight, placed all her loose hair at her back and smirked at him. Clasping her fingers together, she begun, "Let's see, I lost my brother, my sister, my small broken apartment, my job, my virginity, almost my sanity while you only lost a dick. The score is not at all even, Liam. How can I forgive you?"
Like a shy bride, he avoided eye contact with her and cried even more. She checked the time on the clock and bid her farewell.
"Visiting time is almost over so let me throw another one punch liner that you once said to me. I think it was this isn't over."
Placing a small kiss on his forehead, she stepped down from the side of the bed and opened the door. She took her bag that was lying on the hospital chair and verified for missing items. Clap hand, her gun was still in it.
"I told you it's just a small conversation Alexander, I wouldn't hurt him more." She smiled, showing her white front teeth. "I'm not stone hearted."
"Jennifer, what you did-"
"- was necessary. I couldn't rely on you or anyone else to fight my battle and I know that no one can get me justice other than myself. Like I said, I'm not stone hearted. I know what it's like to lose a brother so I didn't want you to go through the same phase as me. Reeves generation will continue but not through your brother through you. Have a nice life Alex."
Walking till the end of the corridor while earning a few gazes due to her party dress, Jennifer stopped and looked at him one last time. The smoke came out of his mouth as he dropped his cigarette, crushing it under his elegant shoes completely disregarding hospital policies.
Alexander has a smile on his face but revenge in his eyes.
Arriving back at Woodside Estate, Jennifer greeted Celestia first who like her was still in her gown from last night.
"Sasha?" She enquired.
"It's been taken care of. Go upstairs, your boyfriend is waiting for you."
"Thank you."
The moment she entered her room, Theo spun her around and trapped her between the closed door and his frustrated self. She had never seen him angry before.
"You're the worst girlfriend ever. We get together and you broke up with me on the same day. Plus you have the nerve to send the message through Celestia. How dare you Jennifer?"
Her heart is definitely broken but Theo's soul is too pure for her. She has to do it the hard way as she has been weak for too long. Theo is a nice person where unfortunately nice doesn't last long in the future she has opted.
"The life I have chosen for me has no place for you. Go back to Philadelphia and live your life like a normal person. Destiny brought me to you but now I have to kick you out."
"I love you."
"I know but I don't. You have been a good friend but I can't let you be more than that. You're a teacher while I have decided to join Celestia's gang. We can't be together Theo."
"Why can't you come with me instead? Live together or heck we can get married if you want."
"You'll find someone nicer than me, marry her and live together. It's a blessing coming from my heart because you have been an angel to me when I felt the loneliest person ever. Theo, the moment I held that gun in my hand, I knew my life took another path."
His hands dropped and he stood, looking at her.
"Theo, in an hour you leave for the airport. Make sure you don't leave anything behind," Veronica yelled from behind the door. He chuckled at what she said and so did Jennifer.
"Don't leave anything behind. Can I at least kiss you one last time? I don't want to leave with any regrets."
"You can do more than kiss me. I won't regret it," she smiled, biting her lower lip.
It didn't take long for clothes to be discarded across the floor and the bed to be occupied with the young couple. Soft moans rippled across the room as her long fingers dug into his back, gripping and scratching. Theo buried his face into the crook of her neck, kissing every inch of it.
"Your scent is driving me crazy."
"It's the perfume that Veronica had left for me among the make-ups last night. It's supposed to make you feel-"
She could speak no more.
"Well, it's certainly working."
His touch made her skin felt electrified as the intercourse started becoming a little wilder after they got a hang of it. Jennifer whispered his name in short breaths as he kept on straddling her, owning her body. She savored every moment, letting Liam's touch disappearing from her body forever.
This time she was attracted to someone she had no choice but to let go.
After an hour, they walked out of the mansion holding hands. Veronica, who was leaning against the classic pink car, playing with the keys stood up at once.
"You two are a thing now," she teased.
"We are just friends," said Theo, putting a suitcase full of new clothes given to him by Veronica into the car trunk.
"Are you serious?"
"We are," Jennifer confirmed.
Sharing a very intimate hug, Theo kissed her on the lips one last time and waved to the girls as the bodyguard drove him alone to the airport.
"I hope you were smart enough to use protection," Veronica said. Blush didn't take time to appear on her cheeks but she shook her head in denial.
"Seriously?"
Before the situation could get any awkward, a young girl informed that Celestia was summoning the two of them. They walked till the backyard, a part that Jennifer didn't even notice before.
"Welcome to the gang Jen."
"Jen?" She asked, rocking her eyes between the mother-daughter duo.
"Jennifer is your past, Jenny is your present, Jen will be your future."
Veronica's little game play with her name made her turned her eyes to the green pasture, she noticed many men and women training in gun firing, sword fighting, hand to hand combat, even bow and arrows. Chase was there too, helping a few girls trying to climb along a rope. He acknowledged her presence by nodding at her. Jennifer had decided to forgive him. He once had a chance to harm her but he instead helped her. She can never forget his kind act towards her. In a very odd way, Jaden and Jacqueline have been replaced by Chase and Veronica.
"You think Alexander might take revenge?" Jennifer asked.
"He isn't dumb because he knows I have many allies. He wouldn't dare but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be on our guards."
"It's a fifty-fifty situation. He can move on to the future or he can live in the past although I personally know that Alex isn't one who keeps clinging to the past. As for Liam, he may put a gun into his mouth at any moment. He's no longer an issue," said Veronica with much vigor.
"Where do you want to start?" Celestia asked her but Veronica answered instead, "How about long distance firing? Jen kinda sucks at that."
"That was Jennifer. Jen is about to begin her life now."
Laughing along Celestia and Veronica, she followed them towards the table where various models of guns including rifles were kept. Suddenly, she felt exactly where she is supposed to be.
She felt an intense attraction towards the mafia life.
