Instead, she's being forced to sneak around with her werewolf boyfriend, away from the prying eyes of her over-protective werewolf-hunting family, and her crazy, more-than-slightly homicidal grandfather is out for revenge on all that is fuzzy and supernatural.
And that's not even the worst part. There's a new alpha turning teenagers left and rate, her best friend has been bitten and her cousin is losing her mind.
With the threat of an impending human v. werewolf war, the nightmarish, reptilian creature that's bringing up the Beacon Hills body count is hardly welcome. All Ellie wants is some peace and quiet, maybe a manicure, and the opportunity to mourn her parents – none of which sounds likely.
