I was dressed in girl clothes for the first time and had extensions to make my hair longer again, and I was happy. It was great not having to use my boy voice, which still sounded kind of girly anyways. Thankfully it wasn't too obvious and fit my appearance or else EXO would have doubted me.
"Well if it isn't my favorite upcoming model, Unji!" Sumi unni said as I entered SM and we gave each other a hug.
"Annyoung Unni," I said when we pulled away and she frowned.
"You said you didn't have a chest." I scoffed at her byuntae-like comment before actually replying with words.
"Well, at first I didn't have much. I'm a growing girl after all," I shrugged and she laughed.
"So, how'd you get out of the EXO dorm in that?" she whispered.
"I went to the park nearby and changed into this. I plan on going back to that park to change back so I can go to the dorm and sleep," I whispered back before we both pulled away laughing.
"Are you excited for your first job? You get to be super cute and do aegyo! Eommaya, what would the boy Jihyun look like doing aegyo? You know, at first you had me fooled and it's not that easy to tell that you're a girl when you're like that because there are guys with feminine features and voices and all. If you really were a boy, I would definitely be your fan if you were also famous," Sumi started rambling and I had to bite my lips to keep from saying something mean.
"Sumi unni, what is this for?"
"Eo? Oh! This is going to be for promoting different dresses, since this is ball season and all. You'll get to wear different styles of dresses and take a picture next to a very princely male."
"Why do you talk like that?" I mumbled to myself and thankfully she didn't hear what I said.
"I don't know who the person is because they didn't say but I guess it'll just have to be a surprise for the both of us! Anyways, today is a great day for you because you get to wear such beautiful clothes! I'm kind of jealous! But not really because without me, you would just like alright in it. I'm going to make you a princess, Unji!" Sumi held up a white bag and twirled around with the happiest smile I've ever seen in my life.
Man this girl loves her job. She doesn't even care that she looks like a child with the way she just keeps spinning.
She helped me with pretty much everything! By the time I walked out with her, I really did feel like a princess. My simple, natural make-up and thick black eyeliner, my hair(and extensions) was curled into chocolate ringlets that cascaded over my shoulders, a black flower fascinator perched atop the curls while the lace draped over my left eye, the black felt wedges that I had to practice walking in before I could come out because I forgot what it was like to wear girly shoes, and finally the navy blue maxi dress with it's cinched waistline and intricate black beaded patterns over the lace bell sleeves. Maybe this was how Cinderella felt?
Sumi and I made our way over to the staff members and did our rounds before the person I was to work with came out and began doing the same. I didn't get to see who it was because we always seemed to be in opposite directions until the photo shoot had actually started. When we turned to greet each other, my heart nearly stopped at the sight of the horribly familiar face.
"Byun Baekhyun?" I whispered unintentionally.
"Neh, and you are?" he smiled and nodded at me. Before I could respond, we were being directed to do a specific pose, signally that the photo shoot was starting. I let myself be natural in front of the camera because I realized that Baekhyun has no idea who I am just yet and I wanted to get through this faster so I could get away from him.
Of course, with the friendly Byun Baekhyun, that didn't even happen.
"You seem familiar," Baekhyun said inside my dressing room. Sumi was talking with some of the staff members right now so it was sadly just Baekhyun and I. "But aren't you a new model?"
"I have some past experience but that was a long time ago," I kept my voice soft so it would take him longer to notice it's me. I mean, at this point, it's nearly inevitable. And we have to keep working together so he might as well know anyways. I'm not sure if I could keep it from him the whole time.
"Oh! But, ani, I feel like I've seen you somewhere before."
"We've never met," I hastily mutter, turning to look in the mirror, pondering whether I should start taking the make-up off now or after he leaves.
"Hm, I guess. Miahnhae, you just remind me of Sehun's friend. You know Sehun, right?"
"Neh, I know your group, Baekhyun-ssi," I felt a strange pain in my eye and resisted rubbing it so I didn't smudge the eyeliner.
"Hm, I bet that Sehun's friend and you would be friends. Jihyun is a nice, caring person. Sometimes he can be blunt and gets in trouble with everyone else, but I think that you're a nice person too. Even though I don't really know you," he trailed off for a moment as I leaned forward to look more closely.
"I don't think I caught your name earlier either," he continued, speaking kind of slow this time.
"I think I got something in my eye but I can't see," I avoided using my name. I don't know, I just felt like I shouldn't give it to him. I felt weird about it now. It's not even officially announced that I'll be going by that name either.
"Oh, I can check for you," he turned my stool to face him and took off my fascinator before coming really close to me. I felt weird about this too, being this close to him and he doesn't know it me. After a while of looking, he smoothly got rid of the pain that a fallen eyelash had caused before just staring at me for a while.
"Is there something on my face?" I pulled back.
"Neh, make-up," he tried to joke but I could sense something was off. He's starting to through me off with that.
"But nothing else, right?" I looked back to the mirror, hoping I could keep only my profile visible.
"Kal Jihyun? Why are you pretending to be a girl?" I jolted but then started laughing. I was getting scared over nothing, apparently! He thinks I'm pretending to be a girl? How funny!
"What are you laughing about? Am I right?"
"Neh, Jihyun imnida. Can you keep a secret, hyung?" I looked over to him to see that he was looking at my chest.
"Ani! You're a girl! Or you're really out of shape or have developed boobs!" he started pointing at me.
"Calm down, please! Just take a deep breath! I'm not out of shape."
"So, you developed boobs or you had them implanted when you were being a girl?"
"Eommaya," I scoffed, rolling my eyes. "Can you keep a secret or not? No matter how big the secret?"
"Neh, I won't tell about your boobs, donsaeng," Baekhyun clapped a hand to my shoulder with a smirk.
"Ani! That's not the secret! I'm just going to tell you the real one since you're such a pabo. I'm a girl. My name is Kal Jihyun. I'm Oh Sehun's childhood friend. I was raised as I girl because I am a girl. You, Sehun, and Sumi unni are the only ones who know and hopefully the only ones to ever know while I'm living with you guys. You look like Bugsy right now. Is this too much information to take right now or are you having a moment or-"
"I'll keep your secret. Don't forget my fan fiction with Jongdae about you too. I get why you did it and everything. However, if things get to out of control, I'm blabbing about it to everyone," he said bluntly.
"Glad to hear," I smiled bitterly.
"So, Baekhyun oppa is in on it too?" Sumi's voice filtered over to us and we turned to watch her approach with a hopeful glint in her eyes..
"Aren't you glad that the person you're working with really is a girl though. You can be fully comfortable with her now, can't you? If you two go places while Jihyun is being Unji, you don't even have to be weirded out that you're sipping coffee in some posh shop with a dude," she chuckled.
"Um, Unni? Can you please stop ranting so much?" I put my harsher words in a delicate sentence. Even with that effort, I got smacked upside the head and scolded for not being able to be nice to people. Than Baekhyun scolded me for not telling him in the first place because he was embarrassed about what he said about me.
After all the ranting, Baekhyun left so I could change and we could leave. Even so, we have to tell Sehun when we get home that Baekhyun is in on my secret. I kind of went about it weirdly, but he was bothering me and it was going to happen anyways.

I don't like mayo but I do enjoy when other's like mayo. Especially when they like kpop too, or if they're open to it. I want to ruin someone's life by introducing them to kpop, but that's what school is for so...
BTW, if you read any of my stories and are following me, then you'll be able to receive sneak peeks to the next chapters of my stories. I'm going to start sending them out to all my followers whenever I have an idea for a chapter. Oh wait! Promoting stuffs! If you're a fan of High School First Love{by kpop_lover_4evr} then you should check out the new story called Expanding Horizons{by Choi_Seohyun and ShawolAndBeyond}, she has on Asianfanfics to support her while she's in the hospital, and after she leaves too. It currently has four chapters but she has a coauthor who's continuing it while she's in the hospital.
Expanding Horizons is about the life of twin brother and sister, Tomiko Nakao and Nakai respectively. Naka(Nakao) is the maknae of EXO-J, a new Japanese sub group of EXO, effectively increasing the number of members in the overall group. Miko(Nakai), is living with EXO because her brother told SM that he wouldn't join unless she was there. Miko is a university student who also has past bad relationships.
For Miko, her problems is how she lives and deals with the EXO members(considering crazy schedules, personalities, and such) and her studies. Between the two, love problems arise for her and she must find a way to get through it all with as little bridges burnt as possible. For Naka, he has to find a way to balance all of life's weights and his duties as an EXO member, plus taking care of his little sister and trying to keep everything in one piece.
So yeah, you should read it! I think it's going to turn out to be a really good story, just like High School First Love. If you haven't read that one but want to, it's got 38 chapters and it's on hiatus so feel free to catch up. I recommend both stories.
