Elizabeth's POV
I woke up in the arms of Kade and flipped over so I could face his sleeping body. I admired his everything the way his lips were slightly parted, his perfect eyelashes, everything. I knew I wouldn't be seeing him for a long time it was the least I could do. I watched as he slowly started to wake up and his grip on me tightened he pulled me closer to him and I swung my leg over his and pulled myself as close as I could get to him and felt my eyes swell I stayed like this until he finally opened his eyes and woke up. He didn't know I was up yet but I think my tears hitting his skin gave him an indication. He held me even tighter which I didn't think was possible and I wrapped my legs even more around him and my arm swung over his body
"Your not going anywhere" Kade whispered
"Lets just enjoy this while it lasts" I sniffed
"Elizabeth it's time to get up" someone pounded on my door and opened it up and Tessa walked in and immediately covered her eyes
"Sorry guys please tell me your not naked" she said
"No were not" Kade replied
"Oh um I was wondering if you wanted to come shopping with me and Erika today Liz" Tessa asked
"Not today sorry" i said trying to keep my voice as straight as possible
"Nobody even knows do they?" Kade asked
"Doesn't seem like it. And i plan to keep it that way" I said
"Your kidding I told you your not leaving" Kade said releasing his hold on me and looked into my eyes
"Kade you can't control this I'm leaving I can't do nothing and you definitely can't he will kick you out too besides he's my brother and maybe this wasn't ever going to work out sometimes being around siblings too much is a pain." I said and removed my leg from his and stood up and took my suitcase I always had ready and I folded all my clothes into it. And took out my second one and piled everything else like makeup, camera equipment, decorations, and memories I didn't have much and the rest of my things like the bed and dressers can be left here for the next person.
"Why don't you go home and take a shower and change we can do something later" I said smiling slightly and Kade shook his head and walked out of my room quickly and I ran after
"JAKE" he yelled angrily
"Whoa Kade you must've woke up on the wrong side of the bed or shall I say Lizzys bed" Anthony laughed
"Where is he?" Kade asked and I grabbed his arm
"Stop" i whispered
"Jake won't be back all day he said he had some things to take care of today and he also said he needs Elizabeth to take the envelope on his dresser." Chance chimed in
"Kade go home for a bit" I said and rubbed his arm and he turned around to look at me
"I promise I'll be here" I assured and he hugged me tightly before walking out of the front doors.
"Geez what's up with him?" Anthony chuckled
"He's fine just didn't sleep much he was up editing that's why he didn't go home last night" I said
"Im sure that's the only reason he didn't go home last night" Chance said sarcastically
"Get your head out of the gutter" i laughed and went to Jakes room and took the envelope and just what was expected a single plane ticket for 7 pm. I finished making sure everything was packed and by now it was 3 I had an hour drive to the airport plus bag check so I had to be gone by 5 to 5 30. The front door opened and Kade walked in with a tuxedo on I giggled and walked up to him
"You look nice" I said admiring his ironed suit
"As do you" he smiled back
"People are already questioning what's going on I wonder what they'll think now" i shook my head while smiling
"Your not telling them I take it?" He asked
"I don't think so" my face fell and people walked over to Kade and laughed and questioned his attire and he gave then the same answer every time
"My clothes were dirty this is all I had left" he told Chance as he shoved his camera into Kades face. The girls all left to go shopping and the boys were outside in the backyard
"Okay we have almost 2 hours what are we going to do?" I asked Kade
"Well I was thinking we go get something to eat and take a walk in the park then I'll drive you to the airport" Kade said his voice getting deeper at the last part
"Sounds perfect" I half smiled knowing this was my last time to walk in the team 10 house. I ran upstairs and grabbed both my suitcases and Kade took them to his car and I popped my head out of the backyard door and yelled at the boys
"I love you guys see you later" and they all laughed and responded in their individual ways and I smiled before running out to the car
"Your hand looks sore" Kade said as he pulled out I was so out of it today that I totally forgot about my bruised knuckles which now we're really starting to hurt
"Its okay" I said as I looked out of the window at all the young fans who screamed our names and I watched as the white house became distorted out of view.
"guess where I'm taking you" Kade said
"I don't know Olive garden?" I said getting snapped out of my trance
"See wasn't that simple?" He laughed
"What do you mean?" I smiled
"I had no idea where I was going to take you but if I asked where you wanted to go you wouldn't tell me so instead I made you guess and now we're going to Olive garden" he chuckled and looked over at me I connected our eyes and my smile faded
"Unless you don't wanna go there" he said watching my face fall
"No it'll be perfect I just don't want to leave you" my eyes began to water
"Don't cry pretend were never leaving each other and were going back home okay?" He said holding my hand and I nodded my head wiping away some stray tears.
We made our way up to Olive garden and just talked like everything was normal we stuffed our faces and left back to the car where we drove to a beautiful park and got ice cream and fed the birds even though we weren't supposed to. Kade in his tux looked incredible and I snapped photos of him when his back was turned and the sunset made everything even more beautiful and I ran up beside him and took one of both of us before we ran to the car as time was running out and I became aware of my situation again. I stared at the ticket in my hand and sighed as Kade started driving we were pretty close to the airport now and the lump in my throat bulged
"Your going to be just fine I promise" he said as he noticed my state of panic and sadness
"Ill go in with you ill go all the way up to the plane if i have to" he said
"No Kade it'll make it harder" I said watching the scenery pass before my eyes.
In no time we made it and my heart sunk Kade got out and held my bags setting them in the sidewalk in front of us.
"Im going to be late if I don't hurry" I said
"Good" Kade scoffed the anger evidently back
"Hey look at me" I said stepping in front of him and straightened his tie
"Don't give Jake a hard time he's clearly going through some shit besides I can see my parents it's like a vacation for me" I tried to make light of the situation I placed my hands on his shoulders and he grabbed my waist and pulled me into a hug something I really needed I hugged back tighter and started to cry
"I love you so much" he said in a very husky voice
"I love you too" I said through sobs and never wanted to let go of him
"Ma'am can I help you with your bags?" Someone tapped me on my shoulder and I pulled out of the hug
"Uh yeah thank you" I replied and he started into the building
"Goodbye" I said as I walked away into the airport wiping away my tears.
I got through security and everything and boarded my flight and if you know one thing about me it's that I hate flying like I've mentioned several times. I got stuck with a window seat and I know that seems like everyone's dream it was my nightmare and all I wanted was to be asleep on Kades shoulder but I was too full of life that there's no way id be able to sleep. The flight killed me and I wasn't able to cry since I was in a public setting with nobody around me so I sucked it up and had several panic attacks thinking I was going to die whenever a slight bit of turbulence came. We landed smoothly and it was almost 11 at night i wasn't even aware of the arrangements of me even making it home but seen my mom holding a sign with my name on it. I ran up to her and hugged her tightly
"Hi baby" she said playing with my hair
"Lets just go home" I said
"Oh honey you know Jakey is just upset he'll get his head right again you'll be back there in no time but for now let's get you to bed." She said and we walked out to her car and drove home where I immediately fell into my childhood bed and fell asleep.
"Lizzy?" My mom did the annoying thing where she knocks and walks in without me even saying anything so there was no point in even knocking I rolled over and realized the bright sunshine
"Hmm" I groaned
"I made some breakfast if you want to come down your dad will be here in about an hour." She said quietly and walked out of my room. I picked up my phone and had no new texts not from Jake not from Kade nobody. Has anyone even noticed I was gone? I thought to myself as I crawled out of bed and made my way downstairs to eat. Not gonna lie it was nice to be back home and routine set in quite quickly.
It's been a few days now and nobody has made an effort to contact me so I didn't bother either it was thanksgiving day and I spent it with my family minus Jake who never came home and spent it in LA instead I waited in the living room for the door to open so I could see Logan and when it did I ran up and squeezed him tightly
"Hey we need to talk" he smiled hugging me back
"So talk" I said
"Okay let me put my bags away first" he said and set his things in his room
"What up?" I asked as he sat down beside me
"Jake feels bad and wants you to come back" he said and I scoffed in response
"Really you do know he kicked me out for a petty reason that was beyond my control. Logan there was a gun to my head" I said shaking my head and saying the last bit slowly
"He knows that he just got denied a sponsorship from a false rumor and he was feeling really bad about it and I guess that sent him over edge" he reasoned
"Why couldn't he tell me this himself?" I asked
"Because Jake is an idiot who decided that by cutting all communication to you was best" he explained
"That's why nobody's been talking to me" I sighed and shook my head
"Im not going back" I said smiling
"Why? Everyone misses you" he said
"So what" I said angrily
"Don't shoot the messenger. Were all too alike petty in our own ways but we gotta stick together. Clearly Jake is an idiot and he has no interest in looking for someone else to take your room. Elizabeth you need to understand everyone makes mistakes and this was one of Jakes even Erika couldnt get through to him in the beggining and thats a hard thing to do" Logan laughed
"It hurt Logan like really bad" I said my eyes tearing up
"Don't cry it'll be okay" he said hugging me. Logan never was one to show much sympathy or any love for that matter if you said I love you he would hum mhm back and hugging him was asking to be punched same goes for Jake but through the years their thick walls they built started to break and I have a feeling it's because my dad isn't around all the time. He wanted them to be the best show no emotion and just be older than they really were and that definitely took a toll on them but he never was like that to me.
"I can't go back Logan and you know it" I said getting up and walking to my room. The rest of the day went by nicely we had a big supper and watched a movie as a family before calling it a night. Logan left the following morning and i was switching houses again from my mom's to my dad's every week feeling like a teenager again who was angry at life. I sat around did literally as little as possible and sometimes it was nice but the deafening silence left a large void empty waiting to be filled.
It was Halloween today and I bought a costume that showed a lot of skin but I was late in the game so I didn't have many options it was either pregnant elsa or slutty officer so I went with the second one.
I put together candy bags for the children while my mom went out to a party and waited by the door for children to come trick or treating. After a couple hours of this children started to head home and go through their stache and I called it a night since nobody came in the last hour and right when I sat down on the couch the doorbell rang. I groaned and stood up grabbing the bowl of candy I just started to munch on and opened the door
"Trick or treat" a group said in unison they were a lot older and there was no kids which kinda set me off guard a bit and freaked me out they wore masks that covered their faces but I grabbed handfuls of candy and put it into their bags
"Goodbye have a nice night" I smiled and one of the men stepped into the house and I backed up quickly
"Can I help you?" I asked getting scared
"Yeah were looking for Elizabeth Paul" the man said and i instantly recognized his voice and my fear slipped away and panic set upon me
"Oh my God Jake you scared me" I said and he started laughing and I seen his hidden camera I looked around at everybody and now recognized the other two as Chance and Anthony when they took their masks off and I gave the two of them a hug
"No hug for me?" Jake asked
"No Jake no hug for you" I glared
"You should put some clothes on you look cold" Jake said making a face
"Its late can we do this tomorrow?" I sighed
"Fine bright and early I'm sorry" he said
"Save it for later" I said glaring at him and the boys went to the basement and I texted my mom saying they were here and went up to my room. I was angry and didn't really know what to do but tried to brush it off so I could sleep.
"Jake?" Someone whispered and I woke up
"Chance? Anthony?" I asked my voice groggy
"El?" The man asked and I shot up
"Kade?" I asked
"Oh my God" he whispered under his breath and i stood up feeling tired and wobbly it was pitch black and I couldn't see a thing
"Where are you?" He asked frustrated
"If you turn on the lights I'll kill you I'm too tired" I said quickly and made my way to the door and my eyes adjusted to the dark and I could make out his body I quickly fell into his arms and squeezed him so tightly my arms ached and he did the same back resting his head on mine and kissing the top of it
"I missed you so much" I said muffled through his shirt
"I missed you even more" he replied and we both let go of each other
"I didn't know you were coming. I mean I didn't know anybody was coming but I definitely didn't know you were" I said wanting to cry but I was too tired to produce tears at this point.
"Ill let you sleep I'm so sorry I woke you" he said and pulled out his phone and shined his flashlight on me
"I said no light" I groaned
"I had to see you I couldn't wait nice costume choice too by the way" he smiled and turned it off and headed to the door but I grabbed his hand
"Stay there's not much room downstairs anyways just sleep in here please" I said basically begging him
"Okay" he said squeezing my hand before dropping it to take off his windbreaker and I quickly put on sweatpants and a t shirt while Kade was busy undoing his shirt which took him a lot longer than it should have I crawled into my small bed and Kade crawled in beside me there was just enough space and he wrapped his arm around me tightly
"When did you change" he laughed through a yawn
"While you were struggling with your buttons" I replied yawning in response to his yawn
"Goodnight" he whispered pulling me closer making his breath hit my neck
"Goodnight" I replied and shut my eyes enjoying the feeling of not being alone again.
I heard a knock on my door and groaned
"Go away mom let me sleep in today" I grumbled and I got no reply they must have left I opened my eyes and remembered who was in my house Jake, Anthony, Chance and Kade I quickly flipped over and Kades eyes were open I pulled my blanket up getting even more warm and snuggled into Kade engulfing him in a warm hug I closed my eyes again and breathed him in.
"Morning" he whispered and hugged back
"I can't believe your here" I said shocked
"Me either it took Jake a lot of convincing he didn't wanna face you. You know he regretted telling you to leave almost immediately after you left" he told me his voice hoarse and gruff sounding
"Yeah right your just trying to make me feel better" I said letting go of the hug a bit so i could lay my head comfortably on his chest
"Its true but he's as stubborn as you are" Kade laughed
"I missed you so much Kade you don't even know i felt like my life started again on repeat where all I did was wake up and then go back to sleep every time someone knocked on my door to wake me up I either thought my mom was calling me up to go to school which was scary or one of you guys was going to come in and say get up in an obnoxious way" I shook my head slightly
"Should we get up as great as this is right now i need to see you more than once in awhile i need you a text away I need to be able to see you El" he said moving away so I looked up to him
"Nobody texted me once while I was here" I frowned "not even you"
"Jake wouldn't let us he wanted to surprise you and it took him awhile to actually get here so we wound up not having any contact with you but that'll change now" he said moving a strand of hair away from my face. Kade bit his lip and sat up while yawning he tussled his hair and grabbed my hand
"No I'm warm" I giggled pulling the blankets to me
"You want to be warm I'll give you warm" he smiled and jumped on top of me and lied down putting all of his weight down
"Kade" I laughed out loudly
"What I'm trying to share my body heat" he said looking clueless
"Your such a little shit" I laughed
"Will you get up?" He asked
"I don't know I guess you'll have to figure out once you get off of me" I snickered and tried to push him over but he was too strong i put my hand on his arm and felt him flex under my hand I kept it there and looked into his eyes
"I missed you Kade" I said admiring his features
"I missed you more" he smirked
"Now get up" he fully smiled and got off of me and pulled me up.
