I am trapped inside of myself,
Flesh encased in steel,
Screaming, straining against the frigid walls of a forgotten past,
a tortured soul.
Then I glimpse HIS face and my heart aches,
My head splits,
And the walls they crack and the steel tears,
And I stumble out on shaky legs,
Shrieking,
Skin burning,
And finally,
Even though the ghosts still hunt me,
the shadows flee and the demons quiet,
And I am finally free.
