"What?" you exclaim as John nods rather shyly. "Cheese on toast? No wonder you're so thin."
"Yeah, it's weird, isn't it?" the bass player asks you.
"I'd try it."
His head snaps up. "Really, Y/N?"
"Really, Deaky."
John walks to the kitchen to prepare his favorite meal.
Later...
"Food is served."
"Aw, thanks, John!"
You set down his bass since you were fiddling (lol does anyone still use that word??) to receive his specialty.
Later...
"Deaky, this is great!"
His face flushes with red. "Really?"
"I take back everything I said."
He smiles at you and takes another bite of his toast.
Later...
You and John are relaxing on the couch.
"Stand up and play a song for me, Deaky?"
"Sure."
He grabs his bass and starts playing. Suddenly, he becomes a new incarnation--Disco Deaky, making you laugh.
Later...
"Bye, John, I had a wonderful time."
"Bye, Y/N."
You look at him for a split second...then kiss him.
"I love you, Disco Deaky."
