My Hero – Chapter 5
I was getting ready for school and as usual I'm deciding what to wear. I look through my closet at some of my nicer clothing but nothing seems to be catching my eye.
"Screw it" I said and went over to my drawer. I pull out a Red Hot Chili Peppers t-shirt, a pair of ripped black skinny jeans and red tights to put under. I throw my hair in a ponytail and put on my black combat boots.
I couldn't find my backpack so I went to go see if Stiles might have it. "Hey Stiles do you know where my..." I started but stop when I walk in and he's putting chains on Malia's wrists.
"Um. Hey Malia." I said awkwardly
"Hey. You left your backpack in the bleachers. I brought it with me" she said pointing to the corner of the room.
"Thanks. I'm just going to let the two of you continue what you're doing. I'll walk to school." I said grabbing my bag and walking out the door quickly.
"No. we'll be down in ten minutes" Stiles said.
I walk downstairs and see my uncle at the kitchen counter looking through some mail. He looks up when I sit on the counter across from him. "Hi Sarah. How are you feeling?" he asked
"Okay I guess." I said grabbing a granola bar.
"You guess?" he asked raising an eyebrow
"Yeah. I just. I don't know" I said looking down at my hands
"Do you want to talk about it?" he asked
Before I could respond Stiles and Malia came into the kitchen "Okay. You ready" he asked me. I nodded and hugged my uncle and we were out the door.
When we get to school we meet Scott, Kira and Lydia and we talked about what we were going to do about the full moon.
"I'm not sharing my basement" Malia said
"Actually, it's my basement" Lydia said "And my mom noticed how you tore it up last time"
"Alright she's still learning" Stiles said defending her.
"But we're going to use the boathouse for Liam." Scott said "It's got support beams. We can chain him to one of them."
"But how do we get him out to the lake house if he doesn't trust us?" Kira asked
"If it keeps him from murdering someone we chloroform the little bastard and throw him in the lake" Stiles said. I hit him in the back of the head
"I'm in" Malia said raising her hand.
"We're not killing or kidnapping him." Scott said
"Then let's be smarter. We tell him that there's a party and invite him." Lydia said
"You're going to ask out a freshman" Stiles asked
"No I'm done with teenage boys, but we just so happen to have our own little freshman" she said which made everyone look at me.
"Sarah? No. My baby cousin is not allowed to ask out boys. Especially a beta on the night of the full moon" Stiles said.
"Sarah. You said the other night that you would talk to him and you know what will happen if he isn't chained up tonight." Scott said
"Okay. I'll do it" I said.
When I got to English I sat down and looked at Liam. "Hey, I finished my music and I heard that the piano in the music room was tuned. Want to sneak in during lunch?"
He smiled "That sounds great"
During lunch we sneak into the music room. We put our stuff down and I go straight to the piano and take the cover off of it. I take out my sheet music and sit at the piano. "I'm just going to warn you now; I haven't played in a while. I might be a little rusty."
"You'll still be playing better than I ever could" he said
"Okay, here goes nothing" I said
I start to play the song (video on the side) which starts out slow and soft. Then as it speeds up I close my eyes and really get into it. When I finish the song I see Liam there looking a little surprised.
"How bad was it?" I asked
"Wow. You were really good." He said sitting next to me. I looked at him and we sat there in a comfortable silence. Then I remembered why I was really here.
"Hey. There's this party tonight and I was wondering if you might want to go with me?" i aksed
He smiled at me "That sounds great"
"Great" then the bell rang so we got our stuff and started walking out of the room.
"I'll see you tonight. How are we getting there?" he asked as we were walking out
"My friend will pick us up okay" I took a notebook out of his hands and write down my phone number. "Text me your address later." I said
"Okay. Bye" he said giving me a hug and walking off.
After school I find Scott and Stiles "Okay. He's coming" I said
"Anything else happen while you guys were talking?" Scott asked
"No. Nope. Nothing happened. Just two teenagers talking and hanging out and stuff like that. Yup." I said which caused Scott to look at me funny.
"You like him don't you?" he asked me.
"You know what. I feel like walking home today and not sit in the jeep with you for ten minutes. Oh yeah to answer your questions Scott, yeah maybe a little. Bye" I said quickly and walked away quickly.
"Wait, WHAT!" I heard Stiles yell.

Later Kira picked me and Liam up and we were on the way to the lake house. I could see the full moon already having the effects on Liam. We were in complete silence, other than very low music playing, and Liam kept covering his ears.
"It's Lydia Martin's lake house." Kira said breaking the silence. "Actually it's her grandmother's lake house, but she's dead so it's okay. I mean, it's not okay that's she's dead. Unless she was in pain."
"Can you turn the music down?" Liam asked
"You want me to turn the music up?" Kira asked. Turning up a little. He didn't object but he still didn't look comfortable. I reach my hand across the middle seat and set it on top of his causing him to look over at me and he seemed to calm down a bit
"Who'd you say was coming to this party?" he asked
"Everyone" Kira said. We finally got there and got out of the car
"Where is everyone?" he asked
"They're here. It's a small party." Kira said.
"I thought you said everyone was coming?" he said confused. Kira looked at me asking for help but I just shook my head
"They are. They're late, and we're early. So we better hurry." She said quickly "Yay! Party."
Once we got inside Scott, Lydia, Kira, Malia, and Stiles were there with all of the chains and stuff. He turned to me confused but I just closed the door and stood there.
"I'm so sorry" I said.
"What the hell is this?" he asked to no one in particular
"Think of this as an intervention. You have a problem Liam." Stiles said.
"And we're the only ones who can help you" Scott said.
We did our best explaining to him what was going on.
"Werewolf?" he asked Scott. "Werecoyote?" he asked Malia. "Banshee?" he asked Lydia. They all nodded. "Fox?" he asked Kira
"Kitsune, but fox works" she said
"What are you?" he asked Stiles.
"For a while I was possessed by an evil spirit. It was very evil." Stiles said
"What are you now?"
"Better?" Stiles said unsure.
"What about you?" he asked me
"I'm the unfortunate human being that is related to that idiot" I said pointing to Stiles
"I love you too" Stiles said going to hug me but I pushed him away.
"Are those for me?" Liam asked pointing to the chains
"No, they're for me" Malia said flashing her blue eyes
"How'd you do that?"
"You'll learn, but first you need to get through the full moon" Scot said
"The moons already out" Liam said
"And you're starting to feel something, aren't you?" Scott asked him
"I feel like I am surrounded by a bunch of psychotic nut jobs!" He yelled. "You guys are out of your freaking minds. I dont know how you did that eye thing and I dont care! "I'm walking out that door rih now! If any of you try to stop me I swear to god, I'm gonna.." he stopped yelling and covered his ears.
"Liam? What's wrong?" I asked cautiously
"You dont hear that?" he yelled back in response
"Did you tell anyone about this?" Lydia asked him
"My friend Mason. You said it was a party" he said looking at me
"Well who did Mason invite?" stiles asked
"Everyone" I said looking out the window. Liam started scratching the floor with his claws
"Floors! Get him off the floors!" Lydia yelled
"We need to get him to the lake house. Now!" Scott said. Him and Kira dragged him out of the house
"UH. Stiles!" Malia said
"Okay, basement. Now. Now Sarah go to the boathouse and help Scott." Stiles said grabbing the chains.
I didn't waste any time and ran towards the lake house. But when I got there Liam was uncontious on the floor "Really?" I asked Scott
After they chain him to a post I sit next to him and rest my head on his shoulder. I close my eyes hoping to get a little bit of sleep before Liam wakes up and all hell breaks loose.
"They look so young" I hear Kira say
"They are" Scott sighed "Liam's fifteen and Sarah will be fifteen in a couple of days"
"I saw them in the car. Liam was getting jumpy and she held his hand, it calmed him down" she said
"That's great she can help him through this" Scott said probably smiling. I stopped listening to their conversation when I heard a low growl coming from Liam.
"Guys" I said standing up and getting away from him "He's waking up. Are those chains going to hold him?"
"Yeah. I think. Definitely. He can't be that strong..." Scott said, but Liam already broke the chains and ran towards us. Kira pulled me out of the way as Liam jumped through the window and ran away.
